Auberge La Caverne

Beds and comforters were clean. Hair dryer available. Bath soap and shower gel were provided.

Electrical outlet was broken, coming away from the wall to expose wires. Shower had LOTS of mold. Toilet doesn’t flush properly and seat was loose/shifted. Mediocre hot water we had to wait a long time for it to get up to temperature and then was only moderately hot. Host was hard to contact and didn’t respond to messages. Albergue is a few kilometers outside Laruns so eating choices were limited, although food was available on site.

Dinner and breakfast were good. Wonderful, friendly, helpful attentive proprietors. Mountain setting and views were excellent. I will return.

Our expectations were exceeded by this hotel. The room was spacious, had everything you'd need, also a balcony. The food is absolutely delicious with 3 options for starter and 3 for main (dinner) and the personel being very attentive to our needs. Would definitely go back!

We liked the location of this hotel as it is great for walks in the Ossau Valley. We particularly liked eating outside on the terrace each evening. The food was very good.

The breakfast service is quite minimal here.

Location was along a river so sound of water st night was nice. Very unique rooms but comfortable beds.

Road was right beside the property so heard cars as they passed at night. Windows had to be open cause no AC.

The location and clear environment are awesome. They have really delicious food at restaurant, and the staffs are all friendly and nice to welcome the guest. Home-made dessert are perfect!

Location right up in the mountains, but very friendly and welcoming. Good stopping point if on a long journey through Spain or France, roads good and very dramatic scenery even snow in April.

The view overlooking river, comfortable Queen bed, big bathroom, good food, friendly staff that tried their best to speak Spanish.
