Everything perfect. I didnt had the chance to use the pool , hope to return during summer

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with them. Their restaurant is fantastic! Our meals were the best we have had during our time in Portugal. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. We loved everything about Hotel Berne.

A well-positioned and very beautiful little hotel in Manteigas. As it was summer, the pool was a real bonus and the pool temperature was just perfect. Easy access to supermarket and local restaurants. Raphael was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this stay.

Excellent stay. Room is very comfortable and clean. Staff are very nice and polite. Parking available on-site. Breakfast was excellent as well. The views are amazing.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good and the restaurant of the hotel has good food with affordable prices. The hotel is very well located in the Serra da Estrela, you can reach many different attractions from there. The city fo Manteigas is also very nice. I really recomend it.

The property felt like luxury accommodation in the mountains. I stayed here as I was competing in a local trail race, Estrela Grande Trail, and it was perfect. All the staff were friendly and helpful in particular, Rafael. All meals and the breskfast were great each day.

There was nothing I did not enjoy except I wished the weather was warmer so could enjoy the pool. ?

Great hotel with fantastic views over the town. Restaurant serves lovely traditional food. Staff very friendly, particularly Rafael who took the time to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. I look forward to returning and maybe even using the pool when the weather is better!

It is a great, clean, simple hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and recently renovated bathrooms. Really nice breakfast and super well maintained!

More leisure things to do - maybe adding a sauna would add value to the facilities

Beautiful venue extremely cozy with a chalet-like interior. They provide excellent warm rooms with heated floors and towels, plenty of space and blankets and a wonderful balcony.

They don’t offer options for dairy-free milk. Very pricey for one night but as I was visiting during New Year’s Eve and did not book my stay in advance one can understand why.

Great clean and cozy place with an awesome view to enjoy Serra da Estrela. Kind and qualified staff! Don’t forget to make a reservation for the restaurant and try an amazing raclette!

Best to have a car, a long walk to centre.

We had a beautiful view from our room and the dining room. We only stayed one night and I wish we had more time to enjoy our private balcony facing the town of Manteigas. Everyone was helpful and kind and made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend the restaurant for dinner and make sure to try the Serra da Estrela cheese! The breakfast is fresh and varied. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was lovely. It was clean and the breakfast was good.

The air conditioning in the room did not work proficiently, it was the peak of summer and so our room was unbearably hot. That was not the worst of it what made it such a terrible experience was the hotel staff and managers response and reaction to it. They were rude, unhelpful and essentially denied it was an issue. They're behaviour ensured we will never return to their hotel. Rude and dismissive. A horrible experience from start to finish. Best part was checking out! Do not stay here! Be warned.

We stayed here when our original hotel had to close at short notice. It was built and is still run by a local family who spent some years working in Switzerland (hence the name). It is a small, modern hotel, with a pool, a bar and a restaurant full of Spanish visitors. Clearly a place people return to.

Nothing to not like, everything was great and acceptable.

The room was nice, the bed was comfy, there was a nice bath in the bathroom. Nice balcony to admire the view and a very nice swimming pool

You can hear the music in the kitchen and pots and pans clanking from the bedroom we were in - I imagine that in other rooms you can't but as we were directly above the restaurant it wasn't great. There is also no ability to make a drink in the room (a kettle and water etc) and despite ordering one via room service, nothing came.
