Hotel da Fábrica

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel da Fábrica. Spacious and comfortable rooms with a stunning mountain view, super friendly staff, and great facilities.The pool and sauna were definitely a highlight. Highly recommended!

The Hotel Da Fabrica in Manteigas was MORE than EXCELLENT. The staff was WONDERFUL! We met the owner of Hotel da Fabrica several times during our stay, which only added to our enjoyment, because he showed a personal interest in us. The Room was SUPER CLEAN and the Shower was GREAT, nice and large. The VIEW was BREATHTAKING.The view from our room was like being in Switzerland. It was our little Switzerland while in Portugal.Though a small hotel, the BREAKFAST was EXCEPTIONAL better than some larger hotels we stayed in.The scrambled eggs were like eating at home. The Breakfast was just GREAT!

The hotel seems fairly new and it was clean and modern, but with a warm touch thanks to the fabric (Burel) that is manufactured closed by in Manteigas. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the showers very, very comfortable.There's a (slow) EV charging station in front which is very convenient. Breakfast is buffet-style and varied enough - the quality of the food provided is excellent (the ubiquitous "Pastel de nata" are available, nice and warm, and are, as usual, delicious.There's a splendid view of the valley, visible through generous windows. There are nice hikes walking distance, but to eat, or shop for groceries, you need to take the car and go in town.

There's some "humming" noise at night that might be bothersome.

The hotel is located near the river, with a beautiful view of the valley and the large mountains behind it. The hotel itself is situated at an old factory building and there are some artifacts and memorabilia on display. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but very good.

We searched specifically for a hotel with indoor heated pool and I asked if the pool was open with a positive response. When we arrived, the pool was very cold. Disappointed about that.

We had a very nice view from our room and a very big and comfortable shower. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options.The sauna and pool facilities were clean and we enjoyed them very much. The staff was very friendly. We highly reccomend this hotel for people travelling in the Serra Estrella area.

The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated, and the mountain view is amazing. The staff was always very polite and the breakfast was delicious. The stay included a guided tour to the Ecolã factory, a couple of miles away, where we were welcomed by a very knowledgeable gentleman who took the time to explain to us the whole cycle of the wool, from shearing to fabric and tailoring. It is a great place to stay when you visit the area!

It is an old wool factory and many things in the hotel are made from wool, cushions, curtains, all the small gadgets, very tastefully done. Beds were nice and comfortable. Very kind and attentive staf. And they provide a tour in the new wool factory, even on Sunday, which js very interesting. Thank you Anthonio!

The location is great, from our room we were facing the other side of the mountain where Manteigas is located. The view is fenomenal also because of the giant window on the room. The room and bathroom are big enough and comfortable for two. The hotel itself is very cozy and clean. Also the staff are very welcoming.

Breakfast was great, Location was great, Staff was great, Swimming Pool and Sauna excelent!!! They have a charger for electric cars in their parking lot... so, everything was great! :D

Everything was good, people are very nice and helpful, all the good Portuguese hospitality in one! Breakfast is so good, be careful not to eat to much :D

While we were at the place, the spa services did not work. There is not enough storage space for clothes

What can I say about this hotel? I absolutely loved everything about it! The facilities are modern and comfortable, the location is convenient, being close to both the highway and the city, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Additionally, the staff is incredibly helpful and provides excellent recommendations for places in the city. The breakfast is top-notch, with individually prepared items. All of this, coupled with a fantastic cost-to-benefit ratio, makes this stay an excellent choice for any traveler.

Everything was perfect, just as we expected. Calm place, perfect breakfast, mountain view, the historical background of the building itself and hosts are fascinating.

We did not like the system. No one around, food is served by the pre-filled list, that at the time of arrival, we did not think seriously . After serving staff disappeared and when we niticed there was coffee but no milk there was no one to ask.

Upon arrival we were met by a receptionist. An hour later he disappeared. We needed some assistance but there was no one to ask. An hour or more later I found him makmaking up the room next to ours. So I could ask the question I wanted to.

No separation between the outside spaces of the room, you end up sitting outside right next to the guests of the next room

Loved the place! The staff was super kind and caring, the room had an absolutely amazing view and everything was furnished in style. The bathroom was super spacious and loved the fragrance of the shower gel/shampoo - very special.
