Great view from window and location is terrific. Right on the sea. Really nice views.

No WiFi in rooms at all, dirty old and tiny bathroom, no blinds to cover sunlight, lights didn't all work in room. This place is very basic and needs refurb as everyone has stated. I guess for the price, it's OK but still cost us enough. They could do a bit more to make it nicer. You get what you pay I suppose.

Paula who met us was delightful, made it a very easy and accomodating experience - plus the accomodation was exceptionally clean

There was a fair bit of street noise that the accomodation was unable to block out, but the facilities themselves were great

the place is comfortable, in front of the beach, near the station, but boring, lifeless. Because of the unbearable noise from the trains passing around the clock, we had to leave the next day. The breakfast corresponds to the level of the hotel. The staff does not speak enough English, otherwise they are polite .

It was close to the water but I was supposed to have a beach view which I did not.

I did not have a beach view, I had a train/playground view. My room was clearly a handicap room and the bed was very uncomfortable. There was standing water on the bathroom floor when I arrived. The pictures I looked at while booking were completely different from what I got. I asked staff to switch rooms but they would not let me. I am 24 years old and I was forced to stay in a handicap room which I did not book. The room had one little plug in fan.

The friendly staff. The restaurant had a really good menu. The location is great. They come to clean the room every day.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The wifi does not work in the room. The shower door was broken. There was construction on the beach (in May) so it would have been nice if they put a disclaimer on booking.com.

Unfortunately the only positive aspect was the nice lady at the reception.

The property needs urgent refurbishment. No attention is spent to this hotel. Everything is very old and used.

Spartan rooms

We particularly appreciated the spectacular view over the ocean. Place was easy to find, but was quite a walk from train station. Many restaurants along the shore/promenade. This family run hotel has its own restaurant downstairs, good prices. Great location for aparetivo in afternoon. Lovely swimming areas with warmer weather, especially with little children. Visited beginning of June. Luggage storage was freely available.

Would have appreciated a kettle to make a cup of tea.

Great location on the beach front and easy walk from station. This is a value for money Pensione style accomodation. It doesn’t over promise and is the best beach front deal going. Rooms are adequate.

The place is situated by the sea, the rooms are fresh and clean, the staff are friendly and attentive. It's home from home. Highly recommended.

No free parking nearby, police is always around looking for cars to fine, so make sure you pay your parking if you park on the blue lines.

Hotel is on the beach. Good for relaxing holiday. Parking was not to hard to find and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a bit expensive for an old hotel, but comparable to other similar places nearby.

The location was great, my room was facing the sea, the bed and pillows were comfortable.

I couldn’t use the hairdryer because the plug wasn’t right for the socket.I couldn’t open or close the curtainI had to hold the showerhead in my hand because there was not a shower holder on tge wall

We booked a room with a sea view! Definitely a must! We loved the location and waking up by the sea. Perfect location if you want to sunbathe! Heads up: Pebble beach.We would love to come back! Ps. We stayed during weekdays, but it's probably very noisy during weekends and the holiday season because of the restaurants nearby.

The luggage storage is in the hallway. You leave your suitcase unattended, without a lock or a door. So outsiders eating at the restaurant or other guests or even random people entering the place (they never checked) could have gone inside. Chiavari is very safe, but it seems it's not a big investment to have an actual storage room if you offer that service.Plus, from what we heard from other guests, the hotel does not have a parking area, so you must pay to park in the streets if you find a spot available.

The location is very good. The hotel is poorly furnished. No air conditioning which we knew but the fact that you need to have windows open and it is noisy up to 2 o'clock in the morning. Even the noise from corridors as the room has no isolation.
