    Pros +

    • This was a stop on our Camino. It was a very comfortable stay, with good bed and pillows. Dinner was tasty (€17), breakfast was pre-ordered the night before (both at extra cost), and was pretty basic, and was ready promptly in the morning for us to eat and get going.
    • Everything. The room is spacious and well decorated. Loved the big windows looking out over the land. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and the hosts are so kind. I could have stayed many days.
    • Beautiful treasure on the camino. Owners care deeply about aesthetics and the comfort of travelers. The food is freshly prepared, no mass pilgrim food.

    Cons -

    • We arrived at 3pm, so got a first course from the lunch menu (soup), which turned out to be really expensive at €11.
    • Not a thing.
    • No elevator and had heavy bag. Staff was kind enough to assist.

This was such a wonderful place and a very welcome stop on the camino. The room I had was so beautiful, comfortable and clean with a view out the back. Laundry facilities available, delicious dinner and even better breakfast before starting off again. There were lovely indoor and outdoor areas to relax in and just enjoy after a long walk. I would highly recommend staying here if you are on the camino.

    Absolutely nothing.

Very exceptional location. Super clean. Delicious food.Possibility to sit outside and in a shared room downstairs.Very friendly staff.

What a spectacular stay, quiet, staff is beyond accommodating, kind and helpful. We tried to stay a second night but for obvious reasons it was fully booked. Book it!

    8DalePosted on: 5-5-2025

It was clean and cozy. Bedding and towels were provided in the alburgue.

I felt like it was confusing on how dinner, drinks and breakfast were done. It’s a tab system but it wasn’t explained nor was the price of dinner explained. I thought it was included. A little expensive for the add ons. Breakfast was late which made for a late start. Also, only one bathroom for 7 beds.

We wish we could come back to this albergue after every single stage of the Camino Primitivo. It’s just one of those places that feels like a warm hug after a long day of walking. The whole vibe — the cozy spaces, the lovely people, the peaceful surroundings — it’s all just so good. There’s a bar with a delicious multi-course dinner and breakfast that honestly made us feel like we were at home. The shared room was spotless, and having a laundry area was a real bonus. Already dreaming about returning here someday for a few quiet days in nature.

Rebecca checked me in and she was very friendly. The other female staff was the chef and she was also very nice. I had my own room with the terrace. The room was very clean and i felt very comfortable. The indoor communal area was just outside my bedroom and is beautifully presented. An additional sliding door between the bedroom and the bedroom door provides good soundproofing against sounds from the communal area. I stayed here whilst doing the camino primitivo and it was a real safe haven. It is located right on the camino and is judt outside of salas. I had the menu de pelegrino meal here and it was delicious. Shower gel is provided and so is a hairdryer

The chillout music in the communal area can get a little repetitive. Water from the shower can make it's way next to the lavatory area.

We love the character of the hostel, really beautiful. Claudia is really hard working,, prepared to help you and answer to all your questions. Great dinner, really good home made food

The breakfast is ok but 8 € is too much for what you get.

Everything was sooo good! Great location, beautiful building, helpful people, sunny garden, wonderful food just right for a tired pilgrim and a playful dog.. don't pass by.. stay here.

Nothing.. it just makes you feel special.

    10MariePosted on: 3-28-2025

This is most probably the loveliest place on whole the camino primitivo. I've walked it twice already but never stopped here before. The albergue is so meticulously clean, very very comfortable, warm. You can feel that it was furnished with so much love put in every detail. This is a big luxury for a very affordable place. Have I said that the breakfast was exquisite, too? Thanks a lot for everything!

The place is pristine and well maintained.Beautiful gardens and rooms

The food was subpar. Only place close by to eat and the food was really bad and pricey.

    10AlisonPosted on: 10-14-2024

Private patio garden and owner’s dog. Beautiful decor. Very unusual property/hotel.

A bit noisy near our room late at night.

    10DreusickePosted on: 10-12-2024

facilities and grounds were amazing. Comfortable. Great views. Lots of areas to sit and relax. Owners were very attentive and took care of us. Food was wonderful. Enjoyed dinner with the other guests. Room had a lovely view.

Property and facility was gorgeous. We had a private room with a terrace … so lovely! Dinner was homemade delicious!!

    10TeresaPosted on: 10-9-2024

Beautiful place with mountain views. Authentically reconstructed old Spanish buildings with modern conveniences. Real treat to stay on Camino Primitivo. Fantastic food and very friendly host.

    10Tim H.Posted on: 9-25-2024

This is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed, period. We were walking the Camino Primitivo and this was along the route. The hosts graciously showed us our room, made us coffee-- even did our laundry! The bread & cheese snacks we were served in the afternoon were especially delicious, and the dinner and breakfast were remarkable. Served more-or-less communally, you get to talk with your fellow travelers over dinner, which made the experience so much richer. Even if you're not walking, you should spoil yourself a little and stay here just for the relaxation.

Beautiful garden and building. Delicious food. Comfortable beds and good showers. Excellent.
