Pros +
- The host was super kind, preparing every day an amazing breakfast especially for us as we were before the season as the only guests. Breakfast made with home made products, orange jam was unbeatable. The location is perfect for discovering the Pelion region. Also, the big terrace gave us an opportunity to start each day with a short session of yoga overlooking the garden.
- First thing what I want to say is kindness of Mr. Kostas. He is very hard worker and he will do everything for you to make your staying pleasant. Thanks Kostas ?You can't expect something luxury in 2 ⭐ hotel. That means that according to ⭐ rating, everything was fine.
- We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Kala Nera, such a beautiful peaceful location in the countryside yet only a short stroll to the beach where there are many restaurants and cafes to choose from. Our room on the first floor was spacious with a lovely sized balcony which overlooked the pretty gardens. We particularly enjoyed watching the European bee eaters flying around in the early evening. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the cheese pies and homemade jams were a treat. We managed to see many of the nearby places by local bus and hiked to the nearby mountain village.Ainareti is a great base for exploring Pelion and the owners are so lovely and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a very relaxing stay.
Cons -
- The mattress was a little firm for our liking but the bedding was crisp and clean and freshly made daily.
- The atmosphere of the breakfast room: inside, dark, with Greek television and old furniture. We advise them to serve it outside.
- 1. The wifi was not stable and some times was weak. It should be improved. We had a Greek sim card with unlimited internet so it wasn't a big problem for us. So how big it will be a problem for you depends on whether you have a card or not.2. The closet was not located in a convenient way. Infront of its doors there was an armchair. We needed to move the armchair in order to use the closet and it was very inefficient and not very comfortable. 3. The shower was a bit small, but for me and my partner it was more than okay. If you are a bit bigger or wider than the average, it might be a bit of an issue for you.

Good hotel. Kostas is very friendly and is prepared to help you with everything. A really good host.We liked the view of the balcony (of room 12), however we realise there are balconies with less privacy. The room was spotlesly cleaned every dayThe bathroom was basic but ok and enough water pressure. The breakfast was good with fresh products. The hotel is somewhat old fashioned, but decent and very clean.Location is good. 15 minutes walk to kala nera beach and centre (with a nice boulevard and good restaurants in a Greek ambiance)

The whole experience was fantastic. Costas, the owner, was very kind and helpful. He made us feel at home. He cooked, answered, advised, and was always there to welcome us when we came back from our daily travels. He seems to really enjoy having guests and assiting them. The cleanliness was top-notch. Every day the room was cleaned and was spotless. The breakfast was very good, we had a great bouffe. 90% of the veggies and fruits are grown by Costas, the cake is made by his wife, and they also make very good jams (I specifically recommend the kiwi). The bouffe was mostly the same every time, but the hot course changed every morning. The hot course is cooked when you come to breakfast, and all of them were delicious. One time Costas cooked an omelet with ham, another time he cooked scrambled eggs with bacon, etc.The room was spacious and welcoming. We had a big balcony with a pretty view of the yard and of the beautiful mountains of Pelion. The double bed was comfortable and big. There was private parking by the hotel, yet it is not marked. Costas will tell you where he wants you to park and it is in a very convenient location. The location was fantastic for us, yet it depends on your aims of traveling Pelion. We could drive to the beaches of Kala Nera, Koropi, and Kato Gatzea in around 3 minutes. Getting to Kala Nera beach would take some time by foot we didn't think there is a reason not driving there, as it took 2 minutes and finding parking was easy. Also there are better beaches in other villages, in less then 5 minute driving distance. Also this location is convenient for traveling to east, south, and north Pelion. In general, the hotel is pretty, has a beautiful yard with crops, and has a pastoral view. It felt authentic, the attitude was super welcoming, and the whole property was pretty and green. I really recommend this hotel if you don't care about driving few minutes for good close beaches.

perfect location in Kala Nera, very simple rooms but clean and spacious. the breakfast was very good with fresh products from the garden, great balcony in each room
The hotel in Kala Nera is in excellent place, close to all places in Pillion. The owner was very attentive and gave us whatever we asked for and more.i.e. - he saw that we used blankets to put under the pillows, so next day he gave us 2 pillows each. The room was very clean.Breakfast was full, with eggs, fresh vegetables, Greek yogurt, fresh fruits, cereal, cakes etc.
There were mosquitoes outside, so we could not use the balcony or the yard, but they did not enter the room. The air condition stop working when you open the balcony door, so you can not have a breath of fresh air and cool the room at the same time.
Very nice and clean hotel. Nice garden. They changed clean towels and sheets. The owner is very kind man.
Kind hosts, small and friendly hotel, lovely balcony and view, very good breakfast.
Very nice owner. Good breakfast.
There is a distance to the beach
Everything was great and exceptional! Great breakfast, the owner and stuff were super friendly and nice and helpful! Room very clean every day. There was a complimentary liquor in the room which was delicious.
One thing I didn’t like was the shower, it was a bit too small.
The hotel was very nice and clean, with big rooms, a nice lobby with traditional decoration and a beautiful garden. Mr Kostas was very kind and helpful! Totally worth it.
