Pros +

  • Vila în the center, very well located to reach amenities and beach in max 3min walks.
  • Arbatax Park Resort is ideal for families seeking a fun and relaxing vacation. The large, comfortable rooms and variety of family-oriented activities create an environment where both kids and adults can fully enjoy their time. The beautiful surroundings and well-maintained gardens offer plenty of space to explore. The staff's warm hospitality ensures a memorable stay for the whole family. A fantastic choice for a Sardinian holiday!
  • The size of the apartment for 5 people is good.

Cons -

  • In the middle of nowhere, the food is SO SO SO bad and its hard being in italy and find such a bad food for dinner and lunch. The beach is so full that you cant enjoy and the some for the swimming pool. The apartments are old and you have to walk a longggggg time from the swimming pool/beach to your apartment. The staff didnt help me us with anything. Forgot the great pictures in booking.com
  • The family room for 2 kids and 2 adults not good ,very small and the bed next to the air conditioner and very noisy sound! We asked the receptionist and they don’t do anything about it… :-/
  • Everything. It is our worst stay ever. Not suitable for families or elderlies. There are rats everywhere and the customer service is awful. Never going to return. Worst stay of our lives.

It is quirky but badly organised

Everything. It is our worst stay ever. Not suitable for families or elderlies. There are rats everywhere and the customer service is awful. Never going to return. Worst stay of our lives.

Lovely resort with nice pools and very picturesque beaches (these look photoshopped in the brochures/online, but really are not - it really is that beautiful here!. Very friendly staff. Good reception to door transport via buggy - but it's a vast resort, so needed. We went as 2 adults, but it was clear that they really look after kids here, with enthusiastic and many kids club staff.

It's a very long way away from either of the airports (2 hrs, 15 mins from Olbia), and although the complex is vast, there is very little else around, so you're fairly stuck unless you have hired a car (which is cheaper than paying for even a one way airport to hotel transfer). the porst area has a few restaurants and is around a 20 minute walk away, but if you're staying on resort and only booked bead and breakfast, the only options for dinner are the pizza restaurant or payingto eat at one of the resort buffets (which do not do a la carte, so you have to poay the full buffet price) - this varies form 25 to 45 euros per person, so soon ads up - it is far cheaper to go for DBB.Very few English there - we only met 2 others in a week - virtually all Italian, which is not a problem itself (they are lovely people), but all entertainment etc. is only in Italian, so inaccessible if you don't speak the language.Pricing is expensive, but not unexpected for Italy - in particular imported soft drinks at 5 euros per can eats into the budget (although the poolside shop sells these, straight from the fridge, at 3.20).We had hoped to see some history but, apart from the riche rocce, the resort is just too far away from this - a good 3 hrs each way to get to Alghero and back.Using the hotel transfers (form airport) is cheaper, but if flying to olbia, there are only 2 pickups per day each way, so we faced waiting 9 hours in the airport waiting for a pickup and felt we had no choice but to pay for a private transfer (240 euros one way - ouch!) - although we did use the hotel service to go back to the airport (60 euros per person one-way).

The location

The food, the service, the staff and the smell of sewage in the rooms

Beautiful and well maintained the park is ideal for couples with kids or if you want just to relax and enjoy the marvelous sea and natureThe cottage rooms were beautiful and new.

The fact that if you don't want to have the full package, there are not many restaurant options. In that case if you want to try the buffet it is too expensive (€40 per person) if you only take breakfast package

The nature.

The facilities are lacking for the price you pay. Most of the staff are rude with the usual exceptions. They are not catering to international people since most of them do not speak anything but italian. I got a room where the airconditioner was not working amongst other things (bed frame broke and toilet was not working). They said the maintenance guy was gone when my sister in law went to ask only when my brother talked to them suddenly someone was sent. I paid for a room with terrace but moved next door without a terrace. They offered a move but did not feel like moving after 3 stressful days for the last 3 days. Breakfast is terrible and very boring. Please also note that the hotel is located in the park which is very much uphill. So if you are not fully fit this hotel is not for you. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. Not sure how they got 4 stars maybe for the beaches that are stunning but still the hotel is not worth the money.

The hotel really has a big area, but our cottage was near sea, reception, restaurant, bus stop, so it was perfect. I was working during our vacation, so for me, it was important to have good wifi. And I had it in our cottage and near. Foods were good, and it was different choosing seafood ? Zoo, swimming pool, garden, beach were perfect

Everything is good

The place was stunning and very well maintained

We travelled as a family of 5 and had to split up. I think our time of visiting was unfortunate as the park just seemed to be opening, staff were pretty poor and not trained, and hardly anything was open

This is a great value hotel in a beautiful location. Quite surprised by some of the negative reviews. The food was delicious with a focus on quality over quantity as well as Sardinia specialities. I’m vegetarian and even when the main courses were fish or meat I was spoilt for choice with the antipasti, salads and desserts. The pool is fabulous overlooking the sea. Peaceful rooms decorated in traditional Sardinia style. Very helpful staff who organised my beach ride and taxis (fabulous local activity, riding on the beach at sunrise).

Big Breakfast buffet, the location is good , also no cars allowed. And ofcourse the Boiboi transportation through the resort was good

Bad internet connection, in the room we had no connection at all. The staff at the shop was very unfriendly , i dont know if it’s because we were there towards the end of the season Otherwise everything else was good and i will be back again

Beautiful relaxing break in such gorgeous surroundings. We normally like to venture out and about but the heatwave has stopped that so happy to enjoy the beautiful pools and gardens. The food and drinks are very good. All the staff are so helpful and work so hard to ensure everyone has a wonderful holiday, well done Arbatax Park Resort!

We stayed at the hotel with my 14-year-old son and his schoolmate, and we had a wonderful time. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the various activities organized by the hotel. Highly recommended!

The location was excellent. It has a lot of natural beauty with two private beaches and a large park with beatiful panoramas as well as farm animals. Breakfast was complete and enjoyable. They have an internal transport system which is very useful and efficient. The room was clean and pretty and the bathroom was nice too.

The place is so large it was a bit confusing at first. Although the carpark was inside the complex it was far from the room although they have an effective internal transport system to save you from walking some hills.

It’s a beautiful hotel!

It’s so far away from the city and we take more than a 1 hour to do the check in ? We need bus to go to our room !!!!

Beach

The room we got was different as advertised on booking, I wrote a complaint and did not recieve an answer, also please unblock my funds on the credit card since I paid all at the property

1JoergPosted on: 8-6-2023

The location and the beach is nice

The whole complex is run down, the staff are only young students with little o no idea how to treat a guest, the rooms are old and not clean, there is no shuttle so depending on where your apartment is located quite a lot of walking involved. The drinks are expensive (6 euro a simple beer), the food is not even regular but bad in terms of variety and quality. In addition for whatever request you might have there is 0 flexibility. Our room key did not even work when we arrived and this was not really fixed at all. No WIFI in the rooms and only in some special areas you can access (reception, restaurant)

2AleksandarPosted on: 8-5-2023

Very poor

The parking situation is very bad. You need to have an above average endurance to be able to climb up that hill every day to get to your car.THERE IS NO WIFI IN YOUR ROOM except in one place called community which we never found.
