Hotel Concha

I thought it was very clean , and the breakfast was excellent with lots of variety

Maybe having more amenities like an iron. There is only two irons for all the guests so if people are using it and your need to iron your clothes you can’t. With packing , it’s normal that your clothes get wrinkled.

What a nice surprise, great location, great breakfast and very affordable.

Maybe the TV was small, but I honestly never turned it on.

Very helpful. It was pouring with rain, and they were kind enough to store our luggage after check-out time.

The young lady at the front desk was extremely rude and abrupt upon arrival. She told us no check in till 3:30pm. I shared the emails I'd received and booking.com confirmation for 3pm which eventually warmed her up but surprised she is client facing in a hotel.

I found it expensive for the type of room we had. Rooms are not well isolated, so I could hear someone on the next door room snoring the whole night

Great location and very clean. Staff were nice and helpful . Good selection for breakfast. The hotel is just behind the bay of Sao martinho do Porto and everything is easy accessible. We went end of October so it was quiet and not a lot of tourists around.

Our second day had a limited breakfast but they put this right immediately when we mentioned it.

Quick access to the city and the beach alike, proximity to restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was quite good too.

Minor: The parking situation around the hotel when we were there was a little dire during the day, it is easier to find space to park in the evening.

Accommodation was pokey, extremely small bathroom . Room was not cleaned until 5pm every day. This was NOT a hotel but very small apartments. Expensive for the accommodation offered.

The location is great, central to bars and restaurants, near to the old town and only 50 metres from the front.We had a front facing room with a small balcony with a westerly aspect which gets the afternoon sun. The rooms are pleasant but basic.The breakfast is very nice. However, the warm options remained the same for 7 consecutive days-scrambled egg and bacon. A tomato would have been a nice addition,but none ever appeared.There was always a nice assortment of cakes and pastries and the coffee and juice were good.On the whole, it's a nice little hotel but could be much better with a few tweaks.

We had a twin room, the bed nearest the balcony doesn't have a power point to charge your mobile etc. The wardrobe is spacious enough and contains a safety deposit box that is operated by setting your own code.However, this didn't work. I reported this to the reception staff, who said they would get it fixed.After a couple of attempts, the safe still remained unusable and we ended up having to lock our valuables in our suitcases. The staff didn't seemed concerned at all.A mini fridge and a kettle would have been a nice addition.The staff were pleasant but never looked happy and cheerful, I found this unusual as I think the Portuguese as a whole are wonderful helpful people.

All staff were very lovely and polite except for one staff named Tania who was extremely rude, inconsiderate and racist.

One of the staff members named Tania being extremely rude and racist who spoiled my holiday on my last day of stay just out of spite. Also some of the Portuguese guests kept staring at us while having breakfast just because we had indian origins..as if we were aliens or something!

Excellent location, within walking distance of the beach, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and provided a full range of options.

We stayed in a room that had self-catering facilities. Whilst we could cook a meal on two rings, unfortunately there was insufficient knives and utensils to be able to prepare food. After we complained some extra items did arrive, but we had to request twice for a sharp preparing knife.

The hotel Concha was great. We had an amazing view of the water from our balcony. The hotel is beautifully designed, breakfast was great, & the staff were very kind and helpful.

We had corner room on the top floor with a slight view of the ocean, Very clean, bright, updated room. We stayed one night and had a wonderful fresh fish dinner along the boardwalk. We found parking easily on the street.

Shampoo and conditioner would have been nice but not a deal breaker
