Pros +
- Lovely place and lovely staff.
- Lovely spot, cute hotel with lots of personality. Good breakfast!
- Beautifully maintained old building. Room was very comfortable. People and services all first class.
Cons -
- The room was small and the area by the desk was U Shaped and tight. The chair scraped the floor and I am sure the people underneath me heard it.
- Parking was tight, low/odd ceiling hard for my tall husband
- Paying 22euros each for an average breakfast after paying 180 euros a night for the room As it was a winter stay there was a lack of a residents communal area to sit in comfort

Lovely building and location. Our room faced the water and we left the big window at the end of our bed open to listen to waves. Building is artistic and the theme was cute.
Location was amazing with it being within 50 feet from the beach. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. There is a small pool on the property but we didn’t take advantage of it with the beach being right there.
great location beside beach and old town with intimate setting.
The entire experience was wonderful. A great hotel ideally located on the beach with outstanding accommodations and professional staff. Own/Executive Chef Marco was the unbelievably accommodating and served us the best meal in all of Portugal

Very confortable place to spend a couple of days enjoying the ocean.Very friendly crew and an excelent service. The food is great
The staff were all beyond lovely. They treat the place like their own. Excellent service! Very quaint and feels like there is alot of history there. Beautifully situated on the beach. Would come back again for sure.
Really friendly hotel! So cute & in a great location. Ate in the green room one night & would highly recommend!
Beautiful old building, impeccably maintaned and with modern amenities. Loved the writers’ theme. Rooms very cozy. Breakfast is very good as well but expensive. The view is quite something to behold.
Francisco really made this stay special for us! He was the sweetest concierge we encountered on our two week trip to Portugal. He hand wrote us wonderful recommendations of things to do in the area, was so kind and we really appreciated him. The hotel is beautiful the food was fantastic - definitely plan to eat there while staying. Great visit!
The fog, haha! And parking wasn't easy.
Exceptional location. Very helpful staff. Quirky and interesting.
The room was small. Parking was difficult and an extra cost.
Charm boutique hotel just in front of the beach line. Antique chalet, with all that comes with it, with a superior service from the staff.
Location is beachfront, with plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants. We also liked the hotel’s cozy bar, and our dinner at the Green Room restaurant.
Excellent location on the beach.Beautiful property
Very clean, but small rooms for 2 people and luggage
Very friendly, accommodating and helpful staff and very nice, modern, clean and comfy room.
Tricky getting to the pool (walk outside around the perimeter of the property or through the dining room). But they were great at helping feel very at home throughout the whole property anyway!
Very nice historical building . Good helpful team on-site. Separate hotel Parking is a big plus
Too small bed . Really tiny room with challenge to open the suitcases. The location is good although the town of San Martihno is highly overrated .
This is a small hotel right on the sea front with nice balcony bar with views over the bay. We arrived on a Sunday and parking was impossible as the town was packed with locals having a day at the beach. I double parked in a small side street and after getting our luggage one of the staff walked to a gate and opened it for me to park the car. There was a 10 euro charge but it was worth it. We were given a warm welcome by the staff and the owner, Marco. We went to the bar where Marco was relaxing with some friends and we were immediately included in the conversation. We visited the restaurant for dinner and really liked the menu. Food was beautifully prepared and very tasty. The service was great as was the bottle of wine the waiter helped us select. Breakfast was all fresh with great breads, meats, cheeses and pastries.
We arrived and I thought that we did not have to room that we booked, a deluxe double with side sea view. The room was small and the partial sea view would have involved standing on a ladder. I mentioned this and Marco came and upgraded us a to larger room but no sea view there was a very small add on charge but he included breakfast. Not such a big deal as we were able to change rooms without any hassle.
