Very cozy little hotel, rooms are not large, but stylish. Wooden interior gives this sense of nature and coziness. There is everything you need, hairdryer, teapot, washing amenities. We stayed just one night, but the overall experience is very nice. There are some nice places nearby for a dinner.
There is only one socket in the second room (we had a family apartment with 2 separate rooms), it is difficult if You have gadgets. It can be a bit noisy, because it is close to the bar, but since there was a concert, we were enjoying so for us it was a feature. But if someone prefers a quiet place, you need to keep it in mind.
Very nice Swiss Chalet style mountain hotel...a little too far from our main route sadly. Very nice little breakfast.
We like the idea of a dinner at the hotel which unfortunately this did not have...our choice for dinner nearby was not very good and our first choice was closed on Mondays.
Lovely chalet in great location! The flat were very comfortable and we find the staff pleasant.
A very Pretty hotel with fantastic friendly staff who always give a warm welcome. There are some restaurants and a little shop within 100 metres of the hotel front door.We usually have the Junior suites as they give that little bit of extra room. Kettle in the room. TV etc.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who feel like family. This is the third time that we have stayed.. convenient for Megeve, Crest Voland, but we stay here to drive up to Les Saisies ski area whic is a really good area to ski.. but also with a little bit of skiing and lift service you can ski the full area from Praz sur Arly. We love this hotel and hope to stay again
Having to leave!
Look and feel
Lots of dead flies, bites in leg from bed, Wi-Fi poor, staff unwilling or unable to helpUs during a family emergency- but will write about this in more details in due course
Amazing hosts. Bedrooms are beautiful. The Spa is great, we enjoyed the sun in the terrace after the sauna and the pool.
This is a lovely hotel and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I will happily stay here again and recommend it to others.
We had a room on the top floor and for 4 people it was too small - what made it worse was we stayed during a heat wave and the room was too hot at night, making it hard to sleep for all of us. Clearly the hotel are not responsible for the weather but I would be aware of this. However, the hotel is clean and staff great. Please don’t let this feedback stop you from booking.
Sauna, pool, location and staff
Sockets are not working in a room
Very good breakfast with traditional foods.
Not much variety day to day, but it's probably hard to manage that at a boutique hotel.
Location
Attitude, staff doesn't know English, sauna is cold, pool is cold, they've tried to charge us for robes, breakfast is very poor with no hot food and very expensive you have to pay even for 4 year old kid, no bar or restaurant working at the property, if you want to drink your own in the lobby they will ask you to pay 10€ per bottle, absolutely disappointed. Rooms are very small.
Superb location.
The restaurant was closed on an evening but open for breakfasts. We were informed about this prior to booking so it didn’t affect our stay.
very friendly staff, good location
beds weren’t the most comfortable, charge extra for breakfast
We usually stay in hotels in Megeve but as all were fully booked we stayed at la Griyoterie in Praz for the first time. The value for money is almost above what you can experience in good hotels of Megeve. We had a great experience, the staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast is made of local products only with a great variety of products, and you have the possibility to go to the hotel restaurant in the evening which also serves really good food. We came for a bike ride and we could park our bikes in the private garage of the hotel. The hotel is well located in the heart of Praz sur Arly. We even were able to come with our dog and the area is dog friendly.
The breakfast was very good, everyone chose their own tastes.
pool and sauna
nothing bad
perfect position with great facilities
