- Great location, friendly and helpful owner, lovely breakfast, clean rooms every day, nice shower
Cons -
- Very basic room only a kettle and 2 mugs, no plates, cutlery, considering its only bed and breakfast would have been nice to have other things in the room
- EnglishFor the first time, after almost 11 years of vacations in Greece, we had a very unpleasant experience with the Greeks who manage the Miramare hotel. The Greeks in Thassos always welcomed us with great friendliness, so what we experienced at the Miramare hotel seems unreal. Specifically, we chose to spend the weekend celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at this hotel. On the first morning at 7:59, my wife and I went for breakfast. Indeed, breakfast is from 8 o'clock, but we thought that being 1 minute early wouldn't be a problem. It seems we were wrong! An older lady, probably the hotel's manager, shouted at my wife from a distance in German that breakfast starts at 8. In vain, we tried to understand why it mattered so much that it was 7:59 and not 8...Then something happened that we had never experienced anywhere we had been, and I can say we have visited quite a few countries. My wife couldn't eat her croissant, which she had taken for her coffee, and decided to take it with her to the beach. The same lady, who probably had been watching us on the security camera, stopped us in the hotel lobby to scold us in front of other people passing by, saying that taking food from breakfast was not allowed. In vain, we tried to explain that it was a leftover croissant from coffee and that it was unhygienic to put it back on the tray for someone else to eat. The lady was satisfied that we spoke to her in German, although Thassos is an island where Romanians have poured millions of euros for years, and it would have been nice for her to at least know how to say "Hello" or "Thank you" in Romanian. She showed no hospitality, politeness, or understanding of the situation. The next morning, we encountered several people at breakfast who were speaking German, and even though it was 8:00, they were already enjoying their breakfast. The lady didn't say anything to them. Well, dear lady and Mr.
- Not many things tbh as my stay was incredible. I would maybe add an AC to the gym but thats minor and I understand not a lot of people use it.

This is one of those old school well preserved hotels. Loved the history of it. The design. How quiet it was and the location. I went alone to get a mental health reset and needed a calm and charming place and this place offered that. It was very quiet yet very close to everything. GREAT ESPRESSO FOR BREAKFAST!
Not many things tbh as my stay was incredible. I would maybe add an AC to the gym but thats minor and I understand not a lot of people use it.
Very helpful staff! Healthy breakfast The room is a bit outdated but extremely well kept and clean. Great location - quiet and also close to restaurants and the beach
There isnt anything to complain about
Location was great, if you have a car. Argyris (the man who runs the entire place from sunrise to sunset) is friendly and extremely accommodating, he goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Room was clean. Breakfast was rich and excellent.
Hotel aesthetic is a little dated/worn. Lady at reception is a bit strict. Overall a good choice - Argyris and the breakfast buffet are the reasons why this hotel gets a good review and I would recommend it.
Location, cleaning, quiet
All good
The swimming pool, the breakfast and the friendly people.
Excellent location - very close to the main street / beaches, but also quite secluded. The hotel is located in the midst of an amazing, shady, wooden paradise. Lots of greenery and very well maintained. There are not that many rooms in total, so the place is not too busy. There is a nice pool on the premises, again situated in the shadows of the wood surrounding the hotel, with a bar near the middle (you can easily order from the pool). A great respite from the beaches when it is too hot outside during the day!The owners speak German, and there were quite a few German tourists. Great value for money overall!
The rooms / facilities are a bit outdated and need a refurbishment. While the hygiene was great (everything was very clean), there was nevertheless a mildewy scent everywhere (which is to be expected from dated facilities, given the moisture). There are also some weird rules regarding the breakfast area (e.g. regarding what kind of bags are allowed to be brought in there /i.e. none/, etc.; Germans love rules, I guess). There are just a few parking spots on the premises, but this is not that big of an issue since there is a big and free public parking closeby.
Nice, comfortable, quiet location close to the beach strip. Good breakfast, clean rooms, staff was helpful. No complaints.
Very beautiful location, in a green oasis, very well-kept garden, the hotel is very well maintained by the owners, the owners helped us with everything we needed. Good breakfast, for a week I think there is variety, exactly what you need to start a day at the beach with energy. We recommend this place.
very nice place , in the middle of forest
some disturbing in air condition system
great location, quiet, balcony to the trees, very clean, good breakfast. close to Skala Potamia beach and the terraces area. I would choose this location any time.
all was ok
Very good location, close to the harbour to see the fishermen in the morning and to the street with the restaurants.Natural shadow because there are trees around the hotel. Nice pool.Tasteful breakfast with a nice view in a small garden with fountain.
Everything! I love the place and location, staff are awesome, you feel safe and great there. The pool is so nice, the food is good and the bartender awesome. Everything was awesome! I recommend it for everyone!
The owners are very attentive to details and help you with any problem. The room is cleaned daily. The breakfast is very tasty and plentiful. We were pleasantly surprised by the very good internet. You have a very good signal both in the room and at breakfast, but also at the pool. The hotel has enough private parking spaces in its premises. There is also a barrier at the entrance to restrict the access of people who are not staying in the hotel. We also liked the rustic vibe that the hotel gives. However, they have very modern technology, from the TV, coffee maker, air conditioning system, and even the door cards and the DND/CLEAN buttons. The hotel is located a 2-minute walk from the Golden Beach and the taverns of Skala Potamias.
The pool was extremely cold at all times. A screen or at least a curtain should be put in the bathroom so that when you take a shower you don't have water everywhere.
Great location, very special atmosphare, amazing garden, tasty breakfast, kind host.
The hotel is located in an area with abundant vegetation. Don't suffer from the heat no matter how hot it is outside. The rooms are neat, and the cleanliness is permanently maintained throughout the complex. The hotel has an intimate ambiance, very attractive for those who come to relax on vacation, leaving behind the hectic life at home. Do not expect to find the scope and opulence of other hotels, but you fully enjoy the pleasant, intimate atmosphere of this resort. The room is equipped with efficient air conditioning, good refrigerator and new generation TV. Wi-Fi is very good. The beach is very wide, the sand is fine, the water accommodation is smooth, the waves are just memories from other places, and the internet is excellent.
Great place in Skala Potamia, 2 minutes walking until Golden Beach, friendly and helpfull staff, very good breakfast, very clean ( every day cleaning in the room) very confortable bed. Amazing garden, very clean pool.
The shower is rather small, and the furniture is a bit old.
