close to the water breakfast was good as was dinner
building work and scaffolding outside and room above the bar with the band so unable to sleep until 2 am
Lovely spot next to the beach, enjoyed a sea swim, pop up sauna in the gypsy caravan. Good buffet breakfast! Clean room, but would stay again.
Firm mattress with unsprung base, long walk to the room!
The breakfast was very good
The hotel was being refurbished at the time of our stay, this refurbishment was concentrating on the event room and bar/ restaurant areas I believe to attract local custom. The bedroom had unfortunately not been touched and was very run down. The large sliding wardrobe door came off its rails nearly hitting one of us if it had been operated by a child it could have been serious. The pedal bin in the bathroom was broken and had to be opened by hand the door to the bathroom was difficult to open. The worst thing was that there was no hot water in the mornings and a cold shower is not an inviting prospect. We were told by the staff that there had been a new boiler fitted but that the hotel was full and it obviously couldn't deal with the demand. This proved not to be so as the numbers staying dwindled we still had no hot water in the mornings.
The cleaning staff did a good job at the cleaning of the room.
The pub connected to the hotel on three nights music playing till 130 am in the morning. Then screaming and fighting when kicked out of the pub. The staff in the hotel were okay but didn't want to interact and didn't inform us of having to book for dinner and when standing at the bar were told to move even though there was no where to move to. Basically not very welcoming. The room was very dated.
The location is great and the breakfast was fantastic., and the staff helpful and friendly. I enjoyed seeing that the hotel had been remodeled/refurbished since my last stay there. The new carpeting and reception area was lovely.
The room I was in was noisy. One nite wedding party just beneath me, and another nite someone working and moving tables at 2 and 3am. It was disappointing after paying 135 pounds a nite for a dog friendly room.
Breakfast was very good
Way too many stairs. Very hard to navigate
