The bathrooms were awful. The outlet in the bathroom had been blown out so there was black smoke around it. The TV was literally 14 inches big and what is with the sink in the middle of the room and the homemade closet will never stay there again very di

EV chargers. It appeared that non customers were utilizing this "free" service. I could be wrong but what I saw was a mother and children waiting in their car while it charged. Another solo driver was in his car charging. (continued)

Top Tips
- Book hotel rooms 1-2 months ahead for the Golden Spike National Historical Park reenactment (June) and similar local events, as rates can rise 25-35% due to limited inventory in Tremonton. Lead times here are shorter than in urban Utah. Use flexible cancellation options if available to secure a good deal.
- Count on 12-14% extra for sales tax and occupancy fees on Tremonton hotel rates, higher than Utah's 8-10% state average due to Box Elder County taxes. Use rate comparison tools that include taxes to avoid unexpected costs.
- For added security, choose hotels along Main Street or near I-15, where property crime rates are about 20% lower than on the outskirts. Solo travelers and families can review recent guest reviews for up-to-date safety feedback.
- Request verified hotel Wi-Fi speeds of 25-50 Mbps before booking, as rural Tremonton connections run about 30% less reliably than urban Utah averages. Ask staff for a room test upon check-in if you need consistent internet for work or streaming.
- Pack for highs of 90-100°F (32-38°C) in summer and lows of 10-20°F (-12 to -7°C) in winter, and book hotels with verified climate control systems rated for these extremes. Confirm air conditioning or heating functionality during check-in for comfort.
- For regional events like Brigham City Peach Days (August) or Bear Lake Raspberry Days, book Tremonton motels 3-5 days in advance; rates along I-15 can surge 25-40%. Consider searching beyond the main corridor if availability is low.
- Confirm advertised 'free Wi-Fi' speeds at motels; most deliver 5-15 Mbps. For stronger signals, request a room near the business center or main lobby.
- For step-free access at older motels (built pre-2000), request room details directly, as 'accessible' labels may not guarantee roll-in showers. Confirm needed features by phone ahead of arrival.
- At I-15 gas stations, decline dynamic currency conversion (DCC) if paying with foreign cards, since markups are typically 4-7%. Always select USD at payment terminals to avoid extra charges.
- Prepare for July hiking outside Tremonton City Park by carrying 1-2 liters of water per person daily; July highs average 95°F (35°C) and drinking water refill points are not common on local trails.
