    Pros +

    • Location, atmosphere, personel. The breakfast was a bonus.
    • Breakfast was excellent and property was gorgeous.
    • Great view, excellent breakfast, nice room with balcony and working fireplace!

    Cons -

    • Our room was ok. The bedroom was very tight and hardly had room to get in and out of the room. The bathroom had an odor of sewage. Our room had very little privacy.
    • Nothing, it was perfect-
    • Everything was bad: the staff is unfriendly, the room is very small and the garbage was full. When we asked to clean it, they said they don’t clean the garbage until the bin is full, no flow of water in the bathroom so we couldn’t shower. Really shitty hotel

Wow! This is one of those special places to stay. Historic, beautiful, cozy, thoughtful, professional, with a truly incredible breakfast, and an amazing location inside the old town. Amazing value for money (at least in low season).

The town is nice. Good breakfast

At the far end of town, where it was peaceful and quiet. Yes, you have further to walk with your bags, but getting away from the crowds is well worth the extra effort. And to be clear- the town is tiny so everything is still close by. Enjoyed breakfast, also. Monemvasia really deserves an overnight rather than a day visit to properly appreciate it without the daytripper chaos.

Tiny room, but we had a balcony that made up for it.

Everything was near perfect. The apartment sits inside an old vaulted building, with a quaint terrace. It’s tasteful, spacious, and comfortable. The location is iconic, the breakfast is the best we’ve had in Greece so far; and the staff is a rather discrete but efficient.

The WiFi signal is very weak inside the building but to be frank it’s not a punishment to have to sit on the terrace when it’s needed. Also it would have been ideal if the toilet was not inside the bathroom but in a separate room to cater for 4 people getting ready at once. But then again, that’s a very first world problem.

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful

    Loves it all

The location and the breakfast were wonderful!

All the steep steps were difficult as we are a bit older! But it was fun staying there.

This is a very unique property located inside a castle / fortress village. The room interior is simple, but elegant, with small fireplace, marble floors , high ceiling, and windows on 3 sides that can be opened to allow fresh air or closed with wooden shutters. The staff were kind, and the breakfast was exceptional ! One can hike to top of cliff to visit ruins, see the sea from above , and visit a church that is still used.

Challenging, but doable, for anyone with some mobility issues.

Everything was absolutely amazing. It is definitely an experience we would encourage everyone to pursue if you are physically capable as the grounds are not the most convenient to navigate or get to at all times if you want the full experience.

Would have loved if there was an information guide about taxis, buses, when breakfast was and all the cool restaurants and shops located within the grounds of the castles walls. With the language barrier and technology not always working it did make it hard to navigate on occasion

We stayed one night in this hotel. The experience of staying within the old castle walls was unique and memorable. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the village, away from the busier areas. The room was cozy and matched the medieval atmosphere of the village. Breakfast was simple but included the essentials — yogurt, eggs, and freshly squeezed orange juice. There was also a wide selection of sweet pastries, which may not be to everyone’s taste; a few more fresh fruit options would have been a nice addition.About a 10-minute walk from the hotel, there’s a beautiful bathing spot by the sea.

To reach the hotel, you’ll need to park your car outside the main gates and walk about 200 meters through the cobbled streets — something to keep in mind if you have heavy luggage. That said, for a small fee, there are porters available who can help carry your bags.

Amazing location and rooms. The view from our balcony was amazing. The whole estate is very beautiful and with a very intense historic vibe.

This is not the hotel’s fault but be aware that parking is an issue especially during summer months. You need to park outside of the castle and depending how far you parked walk 1km to the hotel.

Great location just beyond the noise of tourism with a beautiful view of the sea. Very clean and well-crafted rooms.

It could have had a bit more comfortable seating in the rooms.

Great breakfast, amazing old historic room with arched ceiling, windows right to the street, very cute place to stay

The most beautiful hotel in the amazing location ever. Our room overlook the sea and it just breathtaking and with amazing sunrises. Breakfast was so delicious and very fresh.

Gorgeous property, lovely location away from the center of everything touristic in town. We had an amazing view from our balcony of sunrise and dusk overlooking town, and had the perfect head start to getting up to the ruins in the morning. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The shower was delightful. It was a great stay!

Beautiful space, well appointed, great location, great views

We had to unload and Park far away. Once we got back to the gate there was no one there to help us with our luggage. We made it but we are old and we got tired.

    The location, staff and breakfast

The room was very small almost impossible to stand up in the shower. Fit for short people

    9YugeenPosted on: 5-21-2025

The view, location, the staffs were very kind. Smooth check-in.

It was humid inside in the evening most probably because of the weather. And no enough plug board by the bed
