Pros +
- the restaurant was really good ( food and great view) and the service friendly- the location was useful being right in the Camino- the room was clean- the lady who I briefly saw in the morning was charming
- Lovely views. Good size rooms with comfortable beds. Woman on reception really helpful and friendly. Restaurant San Sebastian prices but food was good.
- Very clean and comfortable room. Amazing views from the dining room to the coast and hills.
Cons -
- the rooms were quite basic and charmless and the hotel looked over a road which was noisy- the lady who welcomed me was a bit frosty but did change my room to one which was a bit farther from the road
- Very remote and difficult to find a taxi from Deba. The village itself is very quiet.
- dinner menu is expensive and they slip extras on like bread and pre starter without telling you !! naughty - my dinner bill ended up with €7 of extras !

Location and great restaurant.
Not possible to open window without creating security risk
We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent and a good value.
Not much that could be done about it, but the hotel is right on a hairpin turn in the road so traffic goes around the building.
We were drenched from walking all day and host insisted on getting all our details and all we needed was a shower !!
Host !
The basic facility was in a good location in Itziar, about 3 km above Deba on the Camino. However, no heat in the room nor hot water. After a day of strenuous hiking a shower is needed. The menu for dinner is really good, but key items weren't available. Their soup was exceptional and other options were good. All in all, a great meal and great service.
Lack of heat in the rooms and hot water for the sinks and showers.
After a long day on the Camino, Marian welcomed us so warmly and made sure we had everything we needed, including a dinner reservation at your lovely restaurant.
Friendly staff, and a small breakfast was unexpectedly provided.
Some road noise if windows left open from heat and restaurant was closed, although the one 100m away was fine.
great window views and amazing food at the restaurant
too close to the highway. car noisy
Very friendly staff. Lovely view from the hotel which is set high up. Lovely dinner.
There is no breakfast buffet but you can get a drink and croissant/toast from the bar. Some noise from the road and unfortunately from other guests in the hotel.
great location. lovely view. easy going staff
no air con as I understood there would be, a broken window, tired decor
Walking the Camino de Santiago, the path passes right by the hotel and the famous church. The view is great!
If you are not here for the Camino or the church, do note that the hotel is in the tiny mountain village Itziar, and very far from Deba and the beach.
Had a restaurant attached
The Booking.com confirmation said it was in Deba but it was not. it was actually up in the mountains above Deba.
great position good truckers restaurant down the hill v v good value
Difficult access had to phone owner to get in. Restaurant and bar were closed not informed before arrival,
stunning location with amazing views, friendly staff & great food, provided secure parking for bicycles. would also be good for motorcyclists. friendly locals
picky but air con would be great but we did arrive in a rare heatwave
Our room overlooked the mountains and ocean so that was a real treat. Food was amazing. Staff were excellent and really friendly.
Good location. Friendly staff and good restaurant. Sitting out area.
Spectacular views
A bit isolated and dated inside
