Moselhotel Waldeck

Our room was large, bike storage was adequate, and the whole resort is charming and picturesque.

No credit cards accepted! This unexpected situation caused us to go to the only other place for dinner, which was a poorly run cafe on the highway. Very disappointing. If we’d been alerted in advance about the credit card, we could have gotten cash, but on bikes, we can’t easily “drive” to other towns to find an ATM.

It may look a bit all fashioned, but we were very positively surprised. Room was very clean and spatious. Breakfast was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our little kid.

This property is right out of a travel magazine. If looking for an original slice of Germany, stay here. The property is next to a babbling brook. Not very far from the banks of the Mosel River. Stay was sooo very friendly. The night Manager spoke some English, but did everything to make us feel wanted. Wonderful evening meal. Schnitzel or fish are only options at night. Wonderful bar. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Everything was done with pride.

Cash only on all purchases. The room was paid via card on Booking.com.

Beautiful setting, atmosphere that was easy and welcoming. Lots of outdoor seating and dining areas in addition to private patio. Delightful staff. Walking distance to the Mosel and river cruise and restaurants in charming Burgen.

Bathroom a little small and no off the menu dining option available when large group was there (buffet offered).

The hotel had the easiest check-in, very friendly staff, varied breakfast, easy check-out. The room was. spacious and clean. Around - very green area with hills and Moselle river.

Wi-fi reception was bad in the room with frequent intermittent disconnections. In the lobby, cantine, and close to the main entrance the reception was good though, so perhaps it's a question of a proper router placement/distribution and configuration. They also accept cash only which wasn't a problem for us but be prepared.

I would like to give a high score for the staff. I arrived the hotel quite late around 2PM. And two ladies were waiting for us there. That was really nice because in that region generally the staff of such kind of otels are leaving the place after 6-7PM. The breakfast was really good. It was a typical traditional German gasthof and I really liked it. The area is was silent and surraounded by forests. It is really near to Cochem and other nice places.

Very good price/quality ratio. Very nice "biergarten". Restaurant at the hotel is good as the village doesn't offer a lot of other possibilities. The menu was very simple, but what we got was well prepared.

Make sure to ask for a silent room, it seems that there are plenty of them. Ours was partly facing the street in front of the hotel and there was some local traffic.

Incredibly clean. I have stayed in 5 star hotels which weren’t as clean as this hotel. The staff were very friendly. At breakfast they only had a selection of pork. The staff then specially cut some chicken for us to enjoy at breakfast. We also had stunning views of a castle! At night it was lit and even more beautiful

No airconditioning, safe or fridge. It is very outdated furniture. However, it was still very very clean and therefore we still enjoyed it a lot

This is a decent small hotel set in a green valley a few minutes walk from the river. We received a warm welcome and the room was clean, a decent size and had a balcony overlooking the garden with a view of the hills. Despite the hotel being full, it was a peaceful night. We had dinner there as well as breakfast and the food and service were good. There was plenty of parking space and no charge for it.

Maybe the food could have been a little better but there was nothing not to like.

We liked the loacation, the size of the room, the friendly staff and the meals there. The breakfast and the dinner were satisfying. The garden area is also well planned for stayin ouside for long hours. I was deeply impressed.

I was a tiny bit surprised that catd payment was not possible at the check out, but again I might missed the info. The helpful and kind staff found a solution to this as well.

We were family of three (couple and a child) and they booked two rooms for us, even though one room could sleep four. They only except cash.

Nice location

No soap or body wash in the bathroom. No extra linen or pillows for the sofa bed and finally only cash payment was accepted. I had to drive to another town just to withdraw cash. This is not acceptable.
