The Merchant House Manama

I appreciated the attentive service from the staff and the quiet, cozy environment of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was well-equipped with everything I needed, the beautiful paintings , the location and the specious rooms .

Friendly staff, helpful, clean rooms, attentive to requests, great breakfast, we have been given room upgrade as well which was a plus point.

I wished if we could have a better room view and bathtub for my kid, other than that everything was excellent.

I liked how the staff were very friendly and helpful. They prepared my check in well in advance so when i arrived i literally waited 30 seconds to get the key and go to my rooom.

Everything was great! This hotel is in the heart of Manama, next to the Souq. So it's very lively around.The restaurant on the rooftop is very nice too!

Only the view from the room was not good, as we stayed on the first floor. It faced the wall of the other buildingThe hotel was full, so they gave us the last available room, which was on the first floor.

Nice little boutique hotel in the heart of Manama, right at the entry to the "souk" area. Very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, super clean.

Unfortunately we got probably the worst room in the hotel, first floor overlooking the mosque so there was no view and it was a little noisy in the morning. Nothing that some earplugs didn't fix but I imagine other people might be more bothered.

Great, modern property in the heart of Manama. The property is located very close to the Bab Al-Bahrain and the main souk (3 in walk). Check in process was very smooth and I was offered a late checkout upon request. The hotel lobby, corridors, elevators were stylish, modern and very clean. The rooms were very comfortable - with modern and aesthetic amenities, lighting, bathroom and electrical. Having a kitchen with new appliances and separate dining/living space was helpful. The bathroom was huge and stocked with elevated amenities. Very comfortable bedding and temperature control. Highly recommended!

The Merchant House has possibly the best location in Manama: You can walk to the Souq, to the waterfront and take a cabs both to the east to visit the Bahrein fort (6km), to the south to visit the A'ali Mounds and to the west to the Pearling Trail. On top of that, you are a few steps away from Haji Cafe-restaurant were you get the best authentic (and cheap) breakfast in Manama. Don't miss the Quran Museum, full of jewels, also walking distance. Also visit the Khamis Mosque and the new Souq Al Baraha.

The smoking smells as I was in a smoking floor because I requested a larger room and this was the only available the stuff did their best to provide us with air purifiers but the cig smells strong
