We stayed at the hotel on our honeymoon. The location was beautiful, a wonderland in the snow. We appreciated the conscientious service by the whole staff, and really enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. A magical honeymoon spot!

Unique and exclusive location, no other hotels on the lake. Only a few steps to the cable car, that brings you to the top of the Zugspitze

Can't think of anything, it was a perfect stay.

The location of the hotel is magical, the stuff are friendly, comfortable rooms all the views are exceptional and the food is great they have all varieties on the menu

Amazing views, very comfortable space, superb breakfast/dinner, and location, location, location on a beautiful lake with views of the mountains and across the street from Zugspitze cable car!

No place to park while checking in as there was construction in front of the entrance! There was paid parking next to the hotel and eventually we were able to move the car to the hotel lot.

Incredible location on the lake - must get a lake view!!

Book direct as the description on Booking for com was not accurate - 1) Booked “lake view” - got a partial lake view 2) Booked room with king size bed - they don’t have king size beds

Excellent breakfast and dinner-it feels like a luxurious restaurant. Free Kayak to use and access to a private beach. Location is next to the Zugspitzebahn. The hotel has its own parking lot so you don't need to worry about no parking. I enjoyed a free boat trip.

No air condition. Due to climate change, it will be hotter every year in summer. My room was overlooking the lake but it was basically looking at the lake through a roof with some moss/grass growing to cover it. This should be disclosed or shown in photos.

•Rooms were spacious and cute with a great view of either Zugspitze or Eibsee based on booking preference. •Rooms were quiet. •Food was great with a great variety of selection for food options. •Sauna, pool, beach access, canoes, Stand-Up paddle boards, and pedal-boats-all on site for guest use. •Kind and respectful reception, cooks, cleaning crew. •Free parking and WiFi for hotel guests. •Activities for family and friends through hotel.

I typically like to give individuals benefit-of-the doubt, for kindness and hospitality wise, but there was a clear pattern of rudeness and disrespect for the way that Waiters/Waitresses at the restaurant treated non-native-German speaking and English or American guests. Reception, cleaning, and cooking staff were all great and exceptionally kind but below was the experience on waiters/waitress staffOur room and board allowed us to attend 9 meal services during the duration of our stay. We attended only 5 due to how we were treated by waiters/waitresses. For our first “lunch” or “snack upon check in, we were told we could walk through the line and at the eating restaurant quarters and grab the food. Upon trying to grab water, one of the female wait staff told us very firmly “NO! YOU SIT DOWN AND MY COLLEAGUE WILL GRAB YOUR DRINK-SIT!” The balder gentleman waiter took nearly 10-15 minutes to bring us our drinks. Our drinks were non-alcoholic. I asked why there was a charge for non-alcoholic beverages in which he replied “you do not get charged for beverages during breakfast, but you do get charged for non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages outside of breakfast.” Okay-understood. Please let others know this for transparency. The waiters demeanor was like we were a burden to even speak to him since we were not German, he rolled his eyes and sighed when I asked for transparency. We came to celebrate our honeymoon at your beautiful establishment, and felt like we were looked down upon due to being foreign and a young married couple. Later in the evening our waitress for dinner was very kind, answered questions, and was very warm. She helped us understand menu questions and was very sweet. She was our only decent experience waiter/waitress wise for other 3 visits. Next two mornings waitresses were rude.

The location was perfect, so beautiful pictures don't do it justice. It was great having access to the spa and SUP, canoes. The room was great, the staff was friendly. You are steps away from amazing trails. 3/4 board was great (includes many activities, breakfast, afternoon lunch from 2-4pm and supper. I thought the hotel was fairly priced.

There is no AC. We were there during a heat wave, the room was still enjoyable albeit a bit warm at night.

The hotel was perfect as was the staff. We have stayed at this hotel previously and have always enjoyed it. Please note that we HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE INTERFACE BETWEEN THE EIBSEE AND BOOKING.COM. THIS COST ME ADDITIONAL MONEY. IT MUST BE RESOVED AND REIMBURSED IMMEDIATELY. SEE BELOW

I have an e-mail from Booking.com dated 15 October 2024 reflecting that I had reserved two double rooms with lake view for four persons with half board - breakfast and dinner from 11-16 May, 2025. We we traveling with friends and I made the reservation in my name, William Torpey for both rooms. I paid 5240 Euros for these two rooms. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that we had only paid for one person (William Torpey) in each double room and that I would have to pay for the breakfasts and dinners for the other two. This was clearly a mistake and it was very embarrassing in front of our guests. I spent a week trying to solve this mystery, but didn't have access to all my files back in the USA so I wound up paying extra for two additional people. The document that the Eibsee Hotel had from Booking.com indicated only one guest per room. This is unacceptable and it essentially ruined our vacation trying to figure out what went wrong. I AM HOME NOW AND HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION I NEED TO ADDRESS THIS DEBACLE, BUT I NEED A DEDICATED BOOKING.COM REPRESENTATIVE, TELEPONE LINE AND E-MAIL TO PROVIDE ALL MY SUPPORTING EVIDENCE. Hotel is just perfect strong attention to detail. It's not cheap but gr8 service, gr8 food, gr8 staff and gr8 location. My 2nd visit and hopefully returning again very soon

I enjoyed my stay so thoroughly that I decided to add another night! The location is amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The 3/4 pension really includes 3 full meals as the afternoon “snacks” were enough for lunch. I can’t wait to return!

Nothing. The climate was not ideal so couldn’t enjoy the water activities but I recommend others to check the climate before booking as it can have a significant impact.

Breakfast, food, size of rooms, guest areas, free parking, bathroom (but no bath sadly) the view and location

Room service stopped at 9:30pm. What is the point of room service when it doesn't go beyond restaurant hours. Room is too expensive, no bath, no milk for tea or coffee. Would have loved access to the pool 24/7.

This was our third stay here and it again exceeded our expectations! The food, pool and spa facilities are amazing and the views are breathtaking. The kids outdoor play area and indoor kids club were perfect even in less than ideal weather. Even though it rained the entire time we were there we still had an awesome hike around the lake, got to sneak in a ride up to Zugspitze when it was clear, had cozy meals and an incredibly relaxing stay. The staff is also superb and what makes this place that much more enjoyable.

The Location and food are exceptional

Although the hotel was very clean we were disappointed that our shower tile walls had mold starting along the grout; wouldn’t have expected this for the price

It was a very nice hotel, wonderful food and friendly staff.

Charging of your electrical car. You have to register yourself first. It's not working with a normal charging card and afterwards you have to pay for a parking place for the when you are not using the accesspoint for loading. The places were many times occupied with cars who were not loading and they do not have to pay for the parking place.

The view from our room was marvelous. The room was big, clean, equipped with everything.Good breakfast and dessert. Appreciated the snacks served between breakfast and dinner. Plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from, good cocktails.I appreciated the private sundeck with sunbeds and that the SUPs and canoes were for free, as well as life vests and paddles. The self service bar was a nice touch too. Even though we discovered it on our own, since no one actually told us about it.Even if I did not use the service, I think it's cool they provide bikes for rental. I appreciated we received the Grainau Card, even if we didn't really use it. But a cute gesture. Parking with a lot of spaces, only for hotel guests.

I did not like the dinner sides. They looked very well, but were tasteless.I did not like that we were not given basic hotel info at checkin like the location of the restaurant and directions to the sundeck. There are no signs pointing to a certain direction either. They very kindly gave us all the information when we later asked, but I think it's normal to be told at checkin time. Extreme waiting time to enter the parking because of the car queue at the Zugspitze parking. (over an hour)

We had the most amazing weekend. The staff were wonderful and the location is amazing. We came away so relaxed and refreshed after swimming in the lake. We can't wait to come back.
