No warm water, steps were treacherous no TV have to rent a towel, which would have been useless when there was no warm water to bathe with.

Great location, great price.

It's time to change the mattress and clean the window with a gazillon spiders on it :D

Lakeland House is well located in Cong, within walking distance to the town centre (i.e. 15 minute walk). We stayed in the top room for 7 people with a private bathroom, although there was only 4 of us (2 parents and 2 children). We loved the space and the children loved having their own bunkbed each! Great stay for the weekend. The whole house was incredibly clean and functional. We'd come back again.

Convenient and kitchen have everything

The noise from downstairs kitchen door. When people enter the kitchen from courtyard, that door make dumble sound that my room 6 bedroom at second floor can hear and feel vibrations

Nothing as such.

1. The room allotted to us was cramped, the bathroom even more so. Certainly, not expected at that price point.2. The owners chided us for arriving late, in spite of us clearly mentioning our expected time of arrival during booking. Their behaviour at the very outset made us immediately feel that we had made a mistake by booking this place, a fact that we would be sure of by the morning.3. After we had already checked into our room, sometime later when we asked about the heating, the owner walked into our room unannounced to apparently look into it. Certainly not expected at any hotel anywhere in the world.4. Overall, the behaviour of the owner-couple was extremely rude.

Very good value for money. The room was adequately sized for our needs. The bed was comfortable.Bathroom had a shower.The walls are a bit thin but the site enforces a strict noise policy late at night. Consequently, we were not disturbed.There was adequate parking most days within the site and potential to park outside it too. The location was outside Cong but just about walkable.

Quirky. Compact. Noisy plumbing. If you won't arrive early, you need to contact proprietor by phone.

Steep stairs, parking was a nightmarish experience, dead spider on the window, you could hear every single noise from outside the room

Despite arriving well after check-in was over, the owners had arranged a way of my getting into the property, which was very welcome after a much delayed and very wet journey to Cong. The en-suite double bedroom was exactly what I needed for a long undisturbed night's sleep. Plenty of on-site parking was also very handy.

A cute place, very quiet and comfy ! It was really clean too.

Very friendly people, both staff and guests; it had a bit of a communal vibe to it, not too tacky, just warm. Cong is still floating on the fact rhat a movie ("A Quiet Man", with John Wayne) was shot here some 75 years ago.

The surrounding area was quite nice, the kitchen big, the bathrooms cleaned every morning, and the staff helpful.

The room was way too small as were the beds. I'm 1.85 and my feet were partially out of the bed, that was also quite uncomfortable. There was only a small window (with no view) that allowed just enough air for the smell of 4 people to get out (I would not recommend it in winter nor in full summer).In our floor that was only one bathroom that became dirty and smelly from the early afternoon until the next morning cleaning.

A clean facility. Close to places for restaurants and Cong Abbey, and the close-by convenient store named Spar sells very good hot food for breakfast.

It is noisy. Several rooms' doors squeak. Some people came back at mid night or get up early. Even they are careful and keep talking quietly, the doors and the floors just make loud noises.

The location was easy to get to.

The parking was tight, laundry was overpriced-it cost €7.50 for wash and another €7.50 to dry. The morning and evening staff was great and polite but the night staff was extremely overbearing; he walked by our quiet camp site several times every few minutes then even followed my husband into the bathroom (late at night around midnight) then proceeded to go right into the same stall my husband left as though he was looking for something; creepy and overbearing.

The room was tidy and the staff was helpful.

So many people in such a small space! The walls are thin, so you hear literally everything, so if there is a loud family of 4 on your floor, as was my case, you won't sleep much. The shower was not working... The room was very small and you also had to pay for a towel, which was not possible to do by card. Overall, not so pleasant experience and would not recommend.

The facilities were incredible. There were a million pots & pans in that kitchen, burka boiler with hot water, microwave, even an air fryer & everything spotless
