Hotel Mirador de La Franca

Very peaceful natural setting. Best meals I have had in Spain. Four course dinner meal included a bottle of wine and bottle of water served on white table cloths and tasted as if made by your personal chef. A great instruction book in several languages.

Holy crap, the view from our room! This is not an understatement, the best beach view we have ever seen from a hotel room.

“Breathtaking view, bloodthirsty audience!”All the mosquitos that invaded my room from leaving the windows open because of enjoying the view and wanting to sleep to the sound of the waves! Seriously can we get some mesh screens?

Beautiful location with direct access to the beach. Towels are provided for the beach which is convenient. Room is clean with an outdoor balcony if your room is not facing the ocean. It’s far from groceries and restaurants but then that’s the trade-off for location.

We had problems with the air conditioner for 2 days.

A beautiful full service hotel right on the beach! A few minute walk off the Camino route but not a big deal. Great staff, fine bar and restaurant.

Location, location, location!!!Could not be better situated on a beautiful beach with stepped access from the hotel and marvellous views from the sea facing rooms.We could have spent our entire three night stay just looking out on the view.Food was good enough and staff were friendly and attentive.We’ll be back!

Restaurant opening hours were restrictive for us and the isolated location meant there were no other options without a drive.

Central heating was not very warm and air conditioning wasn't working. The reception gave me a small heater which helped and offered for me to change rooms which I declined because I was very tired after a long and very cold day on the Camino del Norte.

Just a wonderful stay at Hotel Mirador de la Franca. Gorgeous location, friendly staff, comfortable lounge and room and good food. I felt so well taken care of and like my stay was a real treat! Amazing value for money.

Location is great beautiful spot my second time at this hotel and for some of my party it was their third visit.

Evening meal which I had on my pervious visit was terrible. Service was very poor and these two staff members seemed totally disinterested. Food was not hot and wrong orders were delivered to the table we didn't ask to change at that stage as it wasn't worth the effort and we were unsure we get the correct order on second attempt. On paying we informed the reception and she did make a discount but didn't seem to concerned about our feedback either.

It is an older hotel so it has a lot of levels but that has its own charm.

The restaurant staff seemed to be extremely stressed, which led to service that was not quite up to the standard of the other facilities provided by the hotel.

Room too hot and no way to cool it

The location is lovely, which is how we found the hotel 20 years ago.

Obviously over the years it has got a lot busier, because of the location which makes it an attractive place to be.

Localization.

Check-in was not really a nice experience as the receptionist did not seem to be friendly. I did not feel welcomed at all. The stuff almost does not speak English. When checking-out at 7 am person on reception didn't understand the word "check-out". During the whole week I spent there every day (!) there were problems with coffee machines (both). Breakfast was average and the same each day. The hotel misses quality.

Spectacular location and beautiful view. Lovely big beach. Comfy room and bed. Good choices for breakfast. Lovely bar staff.
