The Pironi Hotel is a delightful 12 room hotel in Cannobio, Italy. It is very conveniently located, just a 3 minute walk from the ferry landing. The hotel building is an old monastery, but It has been very tastefully redesigned. Our room was furnished with antiques that fit the style of the original structure, yet the bathroom was modernized with an excellent shower and lots of amenities such as robes, a hair dryer and toiletries. The room also had a lovely balcony with a wonderful view of Lake Maggiore. It was a delightful spot to share a glass of wine and see the sunset colors on the water. A delicious breakfast is included in the price of the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning cappuccinos along with fruit, pastries and meats and cheeses. The staff at the hotel was also very helpful. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they suggested a lovely restaurant with fantastic food in a lovely garden setting. It was the perfect spot for intimate celebration. Cannobio is a charming town worth visiting on Lake Maggiore. The winding cobblestone streets and beautiful promenade make it a joy to explore. There are also several hiking trails to enjoy in the hills above Cannobio, along with beaches on a river and the lake where you can take a swim. We truly enjoyed our visit to Cannobio and our stay at the Pironi was the perfect place to stay.

The fan in our bathroom was extremely loud. I unplugged it when I wasn’t using the shower.

Amazingly beautiful place. Great location - best restaurants in Cannobbio are 1-3 min walking distance. Beautifully restored old villa with beautiful paintings and very comfortable rooms.

The 15th century hotel's location was excellent - right in the centre of Cannobio just a stones throw from the lake shore and all of the restaurants. The room was ideal with a balcony looking out over the lake and the breakfast was superb. The staff were very friendly and very sympathetic when we had to suddenly curtail our stay as a result of our flight being cancelled.

Beautiful old building in a prime position.Really spacious and comfortable room with private balcony plus large shared lounge area with complimentary tea and coffee.Free secure parking a short walk away.Not suitable however for anyone with limited mobility as located on a steep cobbled hill and lots of steps within the property. Really friendly welcoming staff at reception and in the breakfast room.

Nothing to dislike

Reception was the best. Staff is so friendly and accommodating! The location was right in Cannobio a few steps away from the lake and historic center. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. Secure parking was a plus for us. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to chose from. Even hot scrambled eggs. The building inside has so much history. Accommodations where wonderful and it was quiet.

It is really difficult where to start - everything exceeded all expectations. Starting with the staff, every single one, super friendly, very attentive and always ready to help. The building is an absolute beauty, everything is in excellent conditions, the interior architecture is just beautiful, everything is more than well maintained. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, it was delicious, high quality.Overall, this hotel is a top recommendation and we will surely be back one day. Thanks to all the staff!

Absolutely fantastic all round. Immaculately clean, fabulously friendly can’t recommend it enough. Brilliant location and secure parking. What more could you want.

Bellissima casa storica del Quattrocento ( 15th century or 15. Jahrhundert )very well restored with a lot of sense for its age and history, in the very centre of Cannobio.Good parkings over and under ground ( reservation recommended ).Practically all rooms different and very individual, many with balconies and lake view.Very friendly and helpful staff, good beds, rooms all very clean, good breakfast buffet.Easy contact in several languages.Room rates not cheap but rooms worth their price.

Stairs to bathroom but ok

The place has a period feel to it whilst having all modern amenities. The hotel is full of character and is in a great location. The staff were exceptionally friendly but also effective. Car parking was straightforward with secure covered parking bays a short walk from the hotel. I had a great time at Hotel Pironi - thank you so much, guys.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Property has been tastefully restored to retain its original charm yet provide all modern conveniences. Lovely breakfast a wide range of options included in room rate. Centrally located to lakeside dining options and town centre. Can’t fault this lovely hotel.

Only downside (minor) was there is no onsite vehicle access, however free parking nearby is provided.

Most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in, beautiful room, attentive staff and incredible location.

The hotel is beautiful, in an old building, and just up the street from the waterfront, so quiet. The view of the lake from our bedroom was a real joy and the hotel staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. We loved every minute.
