Pros +
- Nothing, terrible place
- Location, swimming pool, friendly staff, nice bedroom, breakfast was quite alright.Restaurant recommended (and also owned) by the hotel owner in downtown Brisighella was delicious (reservation is highly recommended)
- Our room was large, modern and clean. Pool area is nice and has deck chairs to relax in. Breakfast was nice. Location was good and we could park there as well. The staff member we met was helpful and very friendly. She recommended a restaurant in the town which was well worth going to as the food was very good and great menu - we would definitely recommend eating there. I would recommend this property as a good place to stay.
Cons -
- Extremely negative experience. We arrived at Modus Aqua with two children after booking and paying for a Family Deluxe Room. Upon arrival, we were given a different room that did not match the description and lacked the necessary sleeping arrangements. When we asked for assistance, the staff responded aggressively: a woman stormed into the room, shouted at us, threw our belongings, and forced us out onto the street late at night. We were left stranded with our children without accommodation. This behavior is unacceptable and disgraceful. Strongly do not recommend!Still didn't get refund!
- I would recommend installing mosquito screens on windows (e.g., in the bathroom)
- Location A little tricky if you don’t have a car. Long walk to/from Brisighella

Spacious room, lovely pool area. Great breakfast and coffee available throughout the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful (organising transport for a large group to get to a wedding)

Location A little tricky if you don’t have a car. Long walk to/from Brisighella
This small hotel was a delightful place to stay. The staff were very welcoming, the breakfast was great and we had the perfect relaxing stay that we were looking for. We also ate out at the restaurant connected to the hotel, Trattoria La Casetta which was very good too.
5min to Brisighella center. Caring and helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood. Good breakfast.
Yanita was fantastic. Originally, from Cuba, she spoke Italian and Spanish and a little English. So friendly and warm hearted. The espresso machine was on 24/7. Many yummy choices for breakfast. Lovely pool open 24 hours. Conad grocery store 5 min walk. On a very quiet side street. We loved it so much we stayed 2 extra nights.
Restaurants in Brisighella opened for dinner at 7 or 8 pm. And there are absolutely no parking spots available. Packed full.Remember that it is a medieval village with a castle on top.You can walk from the train station where there is parking. It is uphill to the restaurants.
Nice setting. Location. Pool.
We paid online fir our room. Told can’t check in until 2pm. Arrived at 2pm. No one there. Reception. All rooms. Kitchen. Bar all unlocked and open. No other guests around. Phoned the hotel. Just rang and rang. No reply. Sat outside for 3 1/2 hours. No one came. Laptop switched on in desk at reception. Everything open and normal. But no staff. It was like aliens had abducted everyone. Very very strange. We wondered where we would stay for the night. But could pick any room. All open. We used the pool to cool off. It was a very hot day. Lovely setting and hotel. Eventually after a good four hours. The lady reception person arrived. Hooray. We explained to her how long we had been waiting. And we had never experienced anything like this. And how a business can work and run like this. And anyone could have taken anything, help themselves to anything. Here reply was. No. Not a problem. This is normal here. We have security camera watching. Very very strange carry on. Beautiful hotel, rooms and pool area. If you have 4 hours to spare waiting to check in to get your room. Then we can recommend this hotel. If you wish to turn up. Check in. Get your room in 10 mins has normal. Then go elsewhere. Bonkers.
Very nice accomodation with good breakfast in a charming village. Free private parking and an outdoor pool is available.
The place has been designed with care. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very tastefully done. The management went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable - a real treat!
Given the hotel's layout, one can partly hear the action going on around the pool. There were some party-guests that made a lot of noise - nothing to complain about from the property's side, just useful to know potentially.
Fabulous pool and spa facilities, lovely balcony and room, short walk into town, supermarket 3 mins away
Train wasn’t working to Brisighella so had to pay for a lift to Faenza but hotel staff were very helpful to arrange this.
Lovely property, although I never found time to use the pool. They also run a restaurant in town, which is excellent! I ate there both nights!
The walk to/from the center of town is on the main roadway. The walk is pleasant, although since I was traveling alone, I tried to make sure I made my walk back from dinner before sunset.
This hotel is fine and fresh. Only the service and communication is not ok for non Italian guests.
Due to the heavy rainfall I was unable to reach the hotel ( stopped by police because flooding warning ) and there could not reach the hotel and therefor could not pick up my luggage or sleep in my room. And I tried a dozen times to get my luggage sent to my home adress ( just 1 small bag ) but sofar 0 response ....
Cleanliness, pool and staff
Next to road but didn't put us off as 2nd visit
Very nice, comfortable room. Lovely, friendly staff, willing to help despite the language barrier. Located kinda in the outskirts of Brisighella, which means like 15 minutes walk to the centre. Hotel has links with a great restaurant in the centre, I highly recommend eating there.

Location just outside the town and just a short walk. staff very friendly and helpful .The room was just a nice size, bed was comfortable ( and two pillows )Aircon worked well.Room was clean and everything but a kettle which was retified on request.Definitely stay here again.
Only two issues1. Pool not open ( I knew before we came but thought they might open it as the weather was hot )2. Breakfast was great but unfortunately not for vegans , very little choice.
The bed was to frimElectric car charging stationfriendly staffThe village was a pleasant surprise
the bed was to hard for usBasic but OK to stay for 1 night wile traveling
The manager/owner was amazing.... anything we asked, she was very accommodating. The hotel itself is very well located and within walking distance to most things you could need or want to see in the area.
Loved the pool which was warm and delightful after a long days drive . The rooms are perfect for a nights stay. Staff were excellent and recommended a fantastic local restaurant. Great breakfast
