Location is best, staff is top notch, dinner is awesome and included breakfast is amazing!

Decent breakfast spread, spacious room, clean facilities.

Lighting controls in room were a bit unintuitive and bathroom heat was unable to be turned off leading to a hot room.

We still haven't checked out, but we're disappointed with our stay. We did like the natural beauty and two kind employees (one at the afternoon reception and one in the restaurant). The chocolate as a gesture for Christmas was nice.

They knew for weeks that there was no WLAN in the building. Still, not a word, just a surprise. Breakfast is simple, made from cheap products. Nowhere to be as a family other than the super pricey restaurant with unprofessional staff. Nothing for kids. No fridge in the room. The beds are uncomfortable, the towels tiny, and they didn't replace them for 3 days (I tried to ask and they looked surprised and brought 1 clean towel). No one even took the trash from the room. Strong noise from the rooms upstairs. This is more of a 2-star style hotel and we paid A LOT.

The staff was exceptional and the hiking trails behind the hotel were great

We were in room 504. There was no shade on the window which looks out into the cuckoo clock and shop. The lights are on until midnight so we could not sleep and had no privacy at all. Non stop, people looking in

The employees, Pedro and Kai especially, were EXCEPTIONAL. They made sure every last thing was handled and kept us laughing. It’s ON the hiking trail too, which is why we came.

New facilities, spacious room, clean, silent. Nice location if you want to hike in canyon. Local restaurant is a bit pricy , but offers good food. Good breakfast with wide selection of fish, meat and cheese. On site parking free of charge.

Poor Wifi connection.Good location if you want to hike in canyon or black forest, but overwise place is in a middle of nowhere and you do not have other restaurant options as only hotel restaurant.

Breakfest was very good. Wide sortiment. Room was clean and wide, with balcony. Location - like a small island in between the mountins. I really liked it. Hiking trails next to the hotel, it was excellent.

I did not know that we need to make reservation in the restaurant and it seem that other guests who arrived after us also did not know that but the personal was so kind and let us in :)

The place is beautiful in the heart of the Black Forest. A fantastic place between Freiburg and Lake Titlis. Everything is tasteful, a wonderful breakfast. A renovated and very beautiful room.

Everything was amazing - a small little town vibe with the shops and restaurant! The scenery is fantastic.

Beautiful location! Right next to one of the hiking trails leading to a waterfall. Friendly and professional staff. There is a lot of history in this place that’s very interesting. Surrounded by mountains and trees, a perfect place to hike and unwind. Breakfast was included and very nice, a lot of options.

Just a small tip for improvement — connect smart tv to wifi so Netflix can be used & Maybe a larger shower head. Also our door in the shower was stuck but we told reception and someone came to fix it straight away, great service!

Cleaning could have been more thorough & only done on demand. Restaurant is quite pricey and not great.

A modern and clean hotel with great food, both in breakfast and in their restaurant at dinner. The hotel location is great, and if you travel and want to go to Ravenna gorge the hike begins at the hotel and this is very comfortable.

The place is relatively touristy and a lot of people arrive there during the day. Shouldn’t bother you to much but definitely effects the experience and atmosphere.

Perfect if you’re hiking, and the hotel location is ideal for it.Great restaurant team, friendly, welcoming, and truly attentive. Well done! The restaurant opens for dinner at 6 PM – make sure to book in advance.++Dog friendly, which is always a plus!

No hot water in bathroom for 2 days and it was not even resolved when we checked out . Hot items in breakfast were also not even warm on day1 .

The location is breathtaking. The staff are some of the most hospitable I’ve meet in 30+ years of traveling. They went out of their way to ensure I was not only comfortable but truly happy. Many thanks to Stephan and Sheena for their kindness.

The location was very nice.

The breakfast staff were very rude. Also, it was our anniversary and we had requested for some flowers to decorate the room. They forgot about it which was very disappointing. And the breakfast was average.
