    Pros +

    • Good value.
    • Very compact and well equipped studio in an alpine block of apartments
    • Excellent place in the middle of nature, a 10-minute drive from a ski resort. In a very quiet environment. In our large apartment with 3 rooms we hosted the family for dinner. An ideal place for a vacation. We came with cars but the hotel's transfer is very accessible and recommended. We would love to come back

    Cons -

    • We could not use one of the bedrooms because the bed broke down when we sat on it. The staff made poor repairs that did not helped us to use it. Also the furniture in the entire apartament was old and had some damages from the previous rentals.
    • The 4km road to the property is so full of huge potholes
    • The water in the pool is not really warm.

Very nice spacious apartment, great views of pine trees and the mountains. We were lucky to get lots of snow which made the place look even more beautiful! The staff were super helpful. All was great.

No negatives really. Location is a bit out of the main village so need to use shuttle but that was very regular and the drivers were super nice and helpful.

The property is in a very secluded area away from noise, etc. You can really relax and get good sleep or go for a walk in the forest. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The property has some nice amenities – pool, jacuzzi, saunaDogs are welcome, which was really important to us.

You're pretty far away from Borovetz and the road to get you there is not that nice, meaning it takes good 15-min drive to get anywhere. There's a small bistro that only works during the active season and with a limited menu.

    9DumitrescuPosted on: 2-24-2025

    Superb

The balcony doors are not adjusted properly and it gets cold (it's true that we caught temperatures of minus 18 degrees!). This means more energy consumption!

Clean and with a lot of amenities. Kitchen was well equipped. Pool and sauna very clean also. The staff was extremely polite and helpful.

The road to the hotel was covered in snow and it was extremely dangerous to reach the hotel. Also the entrance to the hotel was covered in snow which had turned into ice which made everything extremely dangerous. When we reached the hotel the receptionist didn't speak any English.

The property is only 10 minutes away from the bottom of the slopes in a beautiful forest location. It really feels like you can get away from it all but be at the centre very quickly. The transport that was bookable at the resort was a game changer and meant that we could all enjoy a drink at dinner and not have the stress of driving in the snow. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. There was a small shop there that had enough so we didn’t need to go to the supermarket straight away. It was also lovely to be able to have a sauna and a Jacuzzi at the end of the day skiing

    The position was very nice

Clean was not made during our stay there, no toilet paper

The place with the stunning view on top of the hill surrounded with the pine forest away from any civilisation noise. Full complement of self catering facilities. Snow games equipment freely available.

Our fireplace was not working well, maybe for good, as it turned out it was not meant for warming but for cosiness. Also surprisingly we found out at checkout that the firewood was not complimentary. The sauna advertised with every apartment does not exist. Some of the houses allegedly have them, but we wouldn't know.

The remoteness of this accommodation proved to be one of the very best things, despite having preconceptions about it being an issue. The staff were very helpful, with a positive and friendly attitude. All the staff, including the drivers and the spa workers were having a professional and respectful conduct. The rooms were equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay with our kids. We had more than enough blankets, pillows, clean towels, toiletries, kitchen utensils and appliances. The silence was undisturbed and so beneficial for our tired and exhausted urban psyche. The 15 minute car trip through the forest to the slopes was completely fine with us and the best part was that after a tiring skiing session, one of the drivers would have taken us to the accommodations door. The sauna was awesome as was the little spa. We had a dinner at their restaurant, the food was good and the fireplace more than romantic. We brought groceries from the nearby town and cooked most of our meals at the apartment. This is a very practical aspect we are searching for while travelling with our children for more than a day or two. They also had storage for the ski equipment and free parking spots in front of the property.

    We really enjoyed everything

Villas were warm, spacious, well equipped, perfect for families, amazing views, friendly staff, very kind to us and the kids

Slightly out of the way, the road in the dark is daunting or when it's snowy or icy. The distance is an advantage too and they do operate a regular and very speedy shuttlw

    9TayoPosted on: 2-8-2024

Fantastic chalet that housed us for our first trip to Bulgaria, the staff were super helpful (even gifted us a special bottle of Rakia) & ensured that we were well taken care of. Being able to order the shuttle bus to take us to the ski area and back was super easy and smooth. It had everything we needed to cook our own breakfast and it was a real bonus that the food and drinks at the chalet restaurant was nice, too. Massive bonus for having an indoor jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna - really makes those long ski days worthwhile having somewhere nice to relax. Rooms are more than modern enough

The squeaky beds! The rooms were a good side, so were the beds, but the mattress was so noisy, every turn was heard and felt - but if that's the only thing we have to complain about, it was clearly a lovely stay.

the location is in the middle of the wood (fresh air), a bit far from the gondola lift, but you have a shuttle , so it's not a big problem with the transportation. The personal of the hotel was kind and always ready to help.

The breakfast was kind of poor but this what you get for 6 euros (it was the only option sadly). The personal which is cooking/serving the breakfast seems to be different than the one of the hotel and it was not that nice.We have also gather something for tips in order to thank them for the serving us. In the last day, i asked them if we can come in the evening in the room where the breakfast/dinner was served and have some little party, they told me that they are actually inviting us to party and -> "drinks on them" , after we'll come back from the slopes. After we came back i went to ask them when should we come to the party and nobody knew anything anymore about that party and nobody was speaking english anymore :). All of the beds in my friends rooms creaked (i was sleeping in the living room).

Great value for money. The views from the windows were beautiful.

The location is quite far from everything. If you want to have a dinner it has to be booked in advance since they close the restaurant when there are no guests.

    9StefanPosted on: 2-7-2022

The service of the staff is amazing and the wellness facilities were quite literally a warm welcome after a long day of skiing!

The restaurant has limited dining possibilities. Can recommend the schnitzel and shaslick though (and the drinks!), but would have loved to see better alternatives with more vegetables after a few days.

    7JamesPosted on: 3-4-2021

The views are spectacular. You need a 4x4 to get there, or drive VERY carefully and slowly (we had a Nissan 4x4). The apartment is lovely.. smaller than it looks on the photos, but great for a few days. After 10 days we were feeling it. The restaurant food is exceptional local cooking. Staff are friendly. There's a lift for getting luggage up and down, which is not always the case in Bulgaria! 10 minis drive from Borovets, and very isolated (which we like)... no local shops, so stock up before you go

No washing machine or any facility to clean clothes at all. We were lucky we packed enough to get through... just. The main bed is a queen, and quite uncomfortable after a few nights so my back was bad by half way through the trip. We took our own pillows which helped. The shop in reception is more like a food 'lost and found' than a grocery shop... you need to stock up each day from shops in Borovets. Not such a big problem for the location benefit. Probably made worse by Covid as not many guests so stocking anything fresh would be difficult. The balcony is ludicrously dangerous, especially with ice and snow. Rickety rail-guard at below waist height and a precipitous drop of about 15 metres. Scary as hell and definitely not for kids.

It is placed in the middle of nature.

It was cold when we arrived. There were many flies inside the chalet and the space wasn’t cleaned properly. Also, the wifi didn’t work most of the time.

    9BorisPosted on: 2-7-2021

The nature and environment are superb.

The road is not so good and it takes time to reach Borovets or Samokov.

    7RalchevPosted on: 2-4-2021

The location is much further away from the noisy and busy part of Borovets. If the weather is kind you can enjoy a nice walk and great views of the surroundings.

Don't expect any service after 17 o 'clock as there is nobody at the reception. We arrived late and our room was quite cold due to the poor quality of the windows. We asked to be moved or if somebody could come and fix the problem and we were told that we should wait until the morning.
