Charming hotel with a vintage vibe. For off season it has a nice heated indoor pool.Breakfast is excellent. The ultimate relaxation session was having morning coffee on the porch.
Location, space, views, meals were amazing
Refurbishment in progress in certain areas, worn out corridor carpets, no working telephones in the rooms,Sluggish drainage of toilets
Everything my place when I visit Gozo for sure
To might get consideration to update a bit the TVs in the rooms...today smart TVS with a bit YouTube is the least cheqp you can make and in my case small children.. YouTube its a must for me.
We had a nice stay. Pool is nice. Beds comfy. Rooms good size.
Air con, phone and wifi didn't work for first night we were there. There was no information/instructions in the binder of information... It was completely empty.
Great breakfast. Beautiful view, although to get this room you had to take two different elevators. great restaurants down on the water, but it was quite a walk down then back up the steep hill.
To get to my room, I had to take two different elevators, changing on the fifth floor. when I got there, with no help with my luggage, my room key didn't work. I had to go all the way back to the desk (with all my luggage) to get a different key. Again, I had to go through the same ordeal, and again my key didn't work. I went all the way back down again and this time they sent a man with me to try the key and yes, indeed, it still didn't work. Finally, I was given a pass key. The following week we checked back in and my old room was given to a friend. when he went to the room the key DID NOT WORK!!!!. You would have thought that they would have fixed it!!!!The drinks were expensive and they were very cheap on the amount of alcohol you were served.Except for the view (if you got that kind of room) and restaurants, it's too far back to the city, so I wouldn't think long and hard before I stayed there.
Pool is big. Staff are very nice. Even the bar staff. Was clean. Room was big.
Very scary and dangerous garage. Access to Pool area not pushchair friendly (stairs and no other option)We were given a cot for my 10month old baby. They places the wooden part on top of the mattress instead of underneath. Which resulted in my daughter banging her head on it before we realised. When we told reception, they apologized but that's it. No word was said again or at least an apologetic gesture. She could have hurt much more and it would have not ended with only a small complaint. I think it should have been taken more seriously.
Location is great, breakfast was very good, and staff was great.
Had to take 2 elevators and walk long corridors to get to our room. Bathroom was a bit worn. Bring your own soap!!! They don’t leave much (liquid) and the small bar did not lather up.
I doubt that I would recommend it to anyone.
My key didn’t work… twice and it was a long walk back to the desk.Especially after back surgery pain.Tv wasn’t working right.
Very good facilities. The service is very good.Easy access to the fery and the island. The breakfest is quite good. And Gozo is fabulous.
Elevators are not very practical. The new rooms are smaller than the old ones, but the equiment is better.
The view was “grand”.
Aside from the lovely view, this hotel was disappointing. The property feels dated and poorly maintained: dirty hallway carpets, trays of uneaten food left out for over a day, and a bathroom with moldy shower curtains and discolored tiles. Room furniture was worn, with a broken balcony chair and unraveling upholstery. The infinity pool turned murky by midday, and the jacuzzi produced white greenish foam when the jets were on. Breakfast was basic and underwhelming, with items like canned pineapple and grainy scrambled eggs.Overall, this hotel does not offer good value for the price and I would not recommend it.
Very clean hotel. Bed & pillows very comfortable. Room very quite 402
Bathroom needs an upgrade as tap was moving & bath is noisy when you go in. A walk in shower would be appropriate both for space and for elderly and non very mobile visitors
The staff are lovely and the infinity pool is a dream. I stayed with my girls and a fantastic time. A very short walk to Gozo Ferry. The location was perfect! I hope to make it back next year. I do suggest staying on the 5th floor:)
Staff, location and facilities
This property is undergoing a huge renovation. It depends on which room you’re in and which floor. I was in a very old wing . Pretty nasty hallways . Pool is stunning but they’re lacking in staff in this entire hotel. You have to ring for staff to come up and deliver drinks and food. It works but it’s not ideal.
Mold , lack of staff , top of hill. No help from front desk , they couldn’t offer much input.
Location, food, staff and hotel in general is great.
The room was above the restaurant and all kind od smells enters the room when we open balcony door.
Love the pool and the food was really good! Rooms were nice.
Pool closing at 7
Very comfortable and quiet rooms with stunning views.
A little tired some updating in bathrooms would be helpful but somehow this adds to the charm The underground car park is tight to enter !!!
