Located at the foot of the ski slopes in Pra-Loup ski resort, Marmotel is only a 20-minute drive from Barcelonnette. For an extra charge, guests can enjoy the sauna, jacuzzi, solarium and herbal tea room at the onsite spa. - Not possible to check in to the hotel at all before 4pm. Staff was not very accommodating, for a 4-star hotel. The extra beds were extremely squeaky and uncomfortable. The dinner buffet was 35€ per person for extremely limited, basic options, cold and not very satisfying.

Friendly and helpful staff, good decor and lobby lounge area, delicious and good variety of buffet items for half-board, ski room with individual lockers and stairs leading right to gondola
Housekeeping made bed, replenished towels and toilet paper and other items, but didn’t clean bathrooms or table surfaces

Breakfast was very busy and some items were not always available. Very poor WiFi
Just a quick note for the above question, which lift did we use the most - none of the lifts mentioned are from the base of the resort. The hotel is by the Costebelle Lift, so this was the lift we used the most. You can ski from the door of the hotel and back with ease, the joy of this hotel. We have been visiting for the last 10 years. The staff change each year so no memory of our visits, but the staff are always helpful and nice. It has grown in popularity especially with families with young children.
