Hotel Alpenruh

The hotel was easily accessible to the cable car and what we wanted to do in the area. We loved being able to sit on the balcony and have the beautiful view of the mountains right in front of us. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful in giving us information about things to do.

Excellent location right next to Schilthornbanh cable car. Very nice balconies with a great view. Restaurant and breakfast space was very warm and welcoming as well. They also have a cat named Pampers who greets guests.

Rooms are slightly small but you spend all your time enjoying the beautiful mountains anyway!

The views from the room are good but that’s honestly true about any room in any hotel in murren

For the cost they had no facilities at all. The bathroom was basic with just a tiny standing shower. The whole experience felt very very basic.

Excellent location, beautiful view of majestic mountains.Accommodation, very comfortable the only thing I wasn’t very happy about the shower stall was small, I managed it but this is a minor issue. Breakfast was very good and the staff very courteous special Jacky.We also had our dinner at the hotel, very good selection with large portionsFor me it was a little too much but delicious.I will stay again if I plan for another trip to Murren.

The staff was so friendly - absolutely stunning views from breakfast, attached restaurant, and our balcony, right near the gondola, and very nice room. Good breakfast.

Location was convenient next to the Gondola.The infrastructure was Basic but suitable.The staff was friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the view from our room was blocked by some construction site panels.The size of the room was rather small.The breakfast was very basic and due the lack of staff not always the food was available or the tables ready.

Nice staff, great atmosphere & Mountain View

Location and views are amazing.The front desk receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was tasty for dinner and breakfast was great. The staff is very good.

Our room was above the restaurant which meant noise until late, and early and the smell of smoke coming into our room. The room was very basic - the bathroom was also basic.

It has a super location in the town with a breath taking view.

It did not have a coffee machine or tea kettle in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay here. the hotel food was good and the view from the rooms was amazing. I forgot a personal item and the hotel was kind enough to mail it to me in Canada! Exceptional service and would 100% stay there again.

We liked everything

Breakfast was very good. We liked the location right next to Schilthorn gondola but it was still undergoing construction so it made it sometimes noisey.

They could have provided umbrellas for guests to use during our stay.

Breakfast buffet was great. Location is amazing. Despite online concerns about construction noise at Schilthornbahn, this was a non-issue. My room actually had a window facing the station but there was no significant construction noise. The windows close tightly and keep out noise.

No complaints.
