Hotel Silberhorn - Residences & Spa Wengen

The staff was outstanding. From the checkin to the elegant restaurant this is one of the best hotels anywhere.

Everything was a 5 star experience.

The location was great - right across from the little train station which was very helpful for an early morning departure. We had a balcony overlooking the town with a stunning view of the Alps. We had a free breakfast both mornings but since we left the last day before the buffet opened they sent us off with a bag of sandwiches and fruit for the train ride. They also gave us a coupon to use in the restaurant at street level and a discount on the Mannlichen cable car.

Only complaint was the tub/shower which was a little difficult getting in and out of. Handrail would have been helpful as well as a shower curtain rather than a partial piece of glass.

The view from our balcony was magnificent. We would've loved to just chill on the balcony and soak it all in if we had more time. We do wish we had more time in Wengen in general. And the hotel has a very convenient location to explore it - right next to the train station and the main street. Breakfast is great.

We rented one of the apartments (Breithornview) so cannot speak to the regular rooms, but the apartment was amazing. It was very spacious - we fit 3 adults and 3 kids. Everything was well laid out and easy to use. The grocery store is next door, so made full use of the kitchen. The hotel spa has spectacular views from the hot tub. Easy access to train station.

Comfortable, clean.

LOUD all night long with people walking the streets. Need to fix kitchen sink as it sprays all never place. Fridge is half frozen on back wall. Not many towels, charge extra for any products beside hand soap squirt bottle. No bars of soap, no shampoo, no shower gel.

Our family of 5 loved the closeness to the train station. Also, the apartment was very spacious and modern. My girls loved sitting at the windows and people watching in the square. The woman at the front desk even gave us a glass of prosecco and my 3 kids orange upon check in. The restaurant was good too!

It was hot for the first night, so we asked for fans. They said they could only provide 2 fans despite being in a 3 bedroom apartment. Thank goodness, one of my kids sleeps through anything. It would have been ok if we opened the windows, but the people at the bar directly under the apartment kept us up all night. When the windows were open, you can hear EVERYTHING just because of its location.

I liked the layout of the place and the space we had.

With the lack of air conditioning and the windows needing to be opened it was very loud out in the town which I wasn't expecting. Also had to sleep with the shades wide open to get air in. It was extra warm, but I would reconsider staying here in the summer because of the noise when you are trying to sleep (especially when the sun sets around 10pm). With the windows closed it might have been fine but we didn't have that option it was so hot.

No A/C, only Fan. Room a little small for 4 people. Should have paper take away cups for morning coffee.

The apartment was modern, clean, and well equipped. We loved the balcony and comfortable rooms.

Being located directly in front of the train station was difficult for me because of the constant noise of people congregating. Mountain views were great, but the train station marred the beauty. I would have preferred a quieter hotel away from the Main Street. I was surprised that there was not a single full length mirror given the tons of empty wall space.

Furniture in room clunky and too big for room

Great location right next to the train station. My room looked right over the Eiger and the valley. Great breakfast spread and friendly staff.

I wish breakfast would start at 630 or 7.it opens at 730.

Location, clean, modern, spacious. Plenty of leftovers from other guests which is great so you do not have to buy all the hassle.

Cushion was not comfy/supportive. One kitchen and cleaning towel for a whole week is a bit too less.

Perfect location, very close to the train station and the ski infrastructure. Typically swiss hotel with everything you need (including very nice spa and great breakfast)

Pillows were terrible

Second time staying at Silberhorn. Great location, extremely comfortable but do get a superior room for size. This year we had superior but village view but still good. Breakfast is excellent and we ate twice in bistro which we enjoyed.

the location, very near the train station and the ski race, the breakfast buffet (and time until 10:30 am), the view from the room, the room itself, the memories, that we could leave the luggage at the reception after the check-out

the noise outside until midnight or even longer - and that the spa was closed (and no lemon and capers with the salmon; no 3-minutes-eggs available)

Great location, just opposite the train station and great to go skiing. Nice breakfast with very friendly staff in the restaurant.
