Excellent breakfast, room was very comfortable, gorgeous view. We had dinner in the hotel one night and it was excellent. Short walk to the hotel but there is a hill. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is downhill from the train station so you have the uphill to return. Most anywhere you stay in Wengen will have a hill involved. I really appreciated the hotel staff and the owner. They were very attentive and friendly. I had a lovely room with a balcony. All in all, I really enjoyed staying here especially having the best restaurant in Wengen right there. My breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Even if you aren't staying here, please consider eating at the restaurant. The chef has a garden beside the hotel where he utilizes what he grows into his dishes.

If you are tall, be aware that some rooms may have a slanted ceiling at the bed and if you aren't careful you can bump your head. I'm short so it was never an issue for me. Also, my bathroom shower was tight. These are things to consider if you are tall and a little bigger. I would not let that stop me from staying here if you make clear that you are tall when reserving your room. I bet there are other rooms to accommodate you.

Lovely property, comfortable bed, exceptionally clean. An on-site restaurant is a plus with great food . The staff is both helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again when I return.

We loved that there were 2 bedrooms and a small refrigerator.

We had a room with a view of the mountains, plus we had a huge balcony w/table & chairs, it ran the length of the room, which included a sitting area, a toilet room, & a large bathroom w/free standing tub with view of the mountains. Staff were awesome. They made sure I had a fan for the warm nights, the coffee maker was unique & the restaurant on the property was delicious. Dinner was good but expensive but the included breakfast was delicious! All the things you could need like blow dryer, shower gel, etc.

When I asked for a sheet to sleep under….comforters are hot, they wouldn’t give me one, instead gave me a blanket/throw but it was hot too. They should offer the sheet for those of us who are hot, there is no air conditioning so a sheet is a must.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The staff is great and really helpful, breakfast super tasty and there are plenty of options to choose from. The view from the room is just unbelievable. Room was clean and warm, there was tea and coffee.

The only thing that we liked about the hotel was the dining room and breakfast was good with plenty of choice.The main drag in the town had a great atmosphere and there were some nice shopsWe loved Wengen so much that we are considering returning to do some hiking in the summer and wouldn't think twice about going back to ski

The mountain restaurants were plentiful but hard to find one that served really good food. We found the waiting staff in some of them to be rather abrasive and rushed. The choice of good restaurants in the town was pretty limited and the quality of what we had was good but not great.

We liked that the reception staff were very welcoming but had to pay £60 for upgrade, as I had only booked for one ?Loved the fact that they had a fab restaurant for dinner & breakfast. We will definitely be back.

The staff, views, and restaurant cannot be topped. We had the absolute best time! We rented the family cabin, and it's right next to an adorable play area. Melissa was so kind to our 2 and 4 year olds. We had the best time! I already want to go back!

The property is down a short hill which can be tough after long hiking days, but that's hard to avoid in the mountains! It didn't deter us at all.

Staff were outstanding. Missed breakfast a couple of days and made us lunch instead which was great. Breakfast the day we went was ok.

Biggest negative was bed was so short and coverings were weird. Coverings didn’t seem clean but assume they were but just felt used.

The staff is amazing and so welcoming. The view is spectacular. The restaurant was phenomenal. The town of Wengen is quiet and beautiful.

Hotel staff at reception and in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was outstanding: extremely friendly, helpful, and gracious. The extent of the restaurant menu and the quality of the meals were exceptional. We'll definitely return!

We had an incredible experience at this hotel! The balcony room with a view is well worth the little extra and the included breakfast was incredible! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Wengen is simply the best village in the area in my opinion and I'm so glad we stayed there. It was a little unusually warm in Switzerland while we there but we were able to crack the balcony door while keeping it closed and locked and they provided a fan for air flow so it was quite comfortable at night. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was great too! Thank you Hotel Baren!

The restaurant is incredible and staff are incredible!!

The family suite was very cramped. There were no balconies and it felt very tight. Different furniture could help with the layout. They could also add shelves for the items on the desks so they aren’t too crowded. The bathroom wall was purple and looked like it had oil stains. The toilet lid said VIP lounge and it just didn’t fit with the property. Some small updates to the family room could go a long way in making it feel more spacious. Hair conditioner would have also been nice.

Beautiful area and easy walk to town. Great restaurant and food and owner and staff were great. We had nice bungalow to stay in.
