Grand Park Hotel Odate

A very nice one day stay and the rooms are big. Public bath is nice too

I might have overloaded the dryer but the dryer is weak

Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast were very goodRooms were very clean

The Onsen room and bath is small and couldn’t relax due to too many guests especially over the weekend

It’s a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very spacious. Amenities are great and the breakfast was delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. And to top it off, it has a very relaxing onsen.

One of the airconditioning in the room didnt really appear to work properly and it got quite warm/stuffy

Comfortable enough for a night stay. As we are travelling leisurely, we do not mind the quiet environment though there are not much things to do around the hotel.

Room light has a moon function and doesn't make it completely dark. The air conditioning was pretty loud.

Didn't do breakfast. Location for a bit far from the train station for walking, but just $12 for a taxi ride.

Clothes dryer could be a bit bigger than the washing machine, so clothes could tumble dry quicker. A full load took me 2 and a half hours to dry.Provide non-green tea bags for those that don't drink green tea. Provide coffee sachets in the room too.

The room was spacious and the staff was friendly.

The air com was sometimes cold or sometimes hot. The we had to give the hotel key back to the front desk, which was not something that we had expected.

The location worked for us as we were on our way to Towada lake. They have private parking which was important for us as well as refrigerator in the room. Also, restaurants were within walking distance . The price was good value for what it is.

The hotel is a bit outdated. Room was relatively small and there was a bad smell in the room. Staff was nice and friendly

Very cozy. Staff were professional and kind. They are in a rural area but they are renovating and have taken great effort to implement modern technology and comforts. Rooms were small for 2 people but plenty for 1. Everything you need is provided for. There is a conbini across the road and a Pokémon Go gym within range? breakfast wasn’t huge but enough diversity and everything was fresh and delicious.

The public bath was small.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and the hotel was in a good location - there's a Lawson across the road, and there are drink vending machines in the hotel itself. There are also some good sights nearby - the Akita Inu museum and Odate castle ruins are a short walk away.

The staff is professional and English-speaking, and the breakfast selection is good. The room was okay for the standard Japanese size. Staff had arranged 2 side-by-side rooms to accommodate my family of 4 travelling together. Lawson convenience store is located just across the street, and many eateries are nearby. Parking is complimentary and located just beside the hotel.

Unfortunately, it probably coincided with some school trips; hence, the hotel seemed very noisy and rowdy. I preferred a quiet environment. As there are only 2 washing machines and dryers, there is a long queue for guests to use. Even though you can cast your mobile device on the screen, applications like Netflix can't be played.

- hotel staff were so friendly- called us a taxi when needed and held our bags during check out so we could explore more. - the room was so spacious and the bed was so big. - our stay was very comfortable and it allowed us to relax during our stay at Akita- Access to great restaurants nearby- great tv service - able to cast to TV- they had a public bath at the hotel- Lawson right across the street if needed.

Not much we didn't like. We were happy with our stay. We will stay there again when we visit next time ☺️

The staff were so friendly and helpful it was such a nice welcome. The free drinks were really good, much more than usual! Easy and quick lifts, great onsen, quick check in and out and the room layout was good too. Plenty of space for two, extremely comfortable beds, dark curtains and nice amenities.

Slightly out of the location but an easy bus to the main station, or train if the timetable allows.
