    Pros +

    • Breakfast was good, coffee was not.
    • I enjoyed the scenery and location You're allowed to see the wooded areas there were grapes that were edible on vines around the windows of the room and around the facility. It had a sauna room it had a wonderful restaurant. Although I did write something in what I did not like even in my situation of having to have medication refrigerated the hotel was very accommodating and helpful to me and refrigerating my medication.
    • It apparently has the potential of being a five star grand hotel however, it is also apparently this hotel is lacking of maintenance. Non prepared extra bed, Non-working hair drier, linking shower cabin, those small details just lower the customer experience a lot. Make a change, get into the positive feedback loop.

    Cons -

    • This hotel has a "clean on request" policy, however I would expect that you get the room clean from the start. Unfortunately, that was not the case for the room we've booked. The room was not clean, there were dead bugs everywhere, dirt, dust, spider webs... The toilet was not clean and most of all, the bed was used (sheets were not straight, dirt and hair under the sheets). Considering I was staying with young children, we found the state of the room unacceptable. The reception responded that they will reach out to partially refund (the price of the breakfast), probably to just get rid of my complains. After not having heard from the hotel for a few weeks, I have reached out again, with no success. The hotel itself (the "new" part of it, at least) is like a maze. We had to go to the basement, than through a corridor and find our way to the top floor, where our room was. It took 10-15 min from the entrance to reach the room. On top of that, the location of the hotel is inconvenient for an overnight or short stay, since it's far away from any highway, and on the top of a hill. We had to drive for 40min through villages in order to reach the property.
    • The only thing that I didn't like was that I did not have a refrigerator in my room. I am on medications that are required to be refrigerated.
    • While booking I had selected a room with valley view and even paid a higher price, but I received a room which had hardly any view as it was a ground floor room with a view to the parking lot and the hotel entrance. The small room doesn’t have curtains and we had to put down the shutter quite early to respect our privacy.

The location is very nice, would recommend it for group outings. It’s a good place for families with kids, with some good options to walk in nature. The breakfast spread is decent

The location, landscapes and views are nice

I travelled from England on my way to Greece; I needed a short break, and I booked a random hotel online, which happened to be these guys. The receptionist checked in german customers as early as 12 pm. but asked us to wait until 2 pm. The room had very little shower gel and no kettle to make a tea, no shampoo. In the restaurant, we were asked to swap tables. They moved us to the worst corner of their restaurant. Their staff does not speak English. They charged me more than advirtised on the site. They also charged extra fees unexpectedly after our leave. Will Never use their hotel in this location. If travelling from a different country. Please avoid!

The room was nice with a high ceiling. The bed was comfortable.

Some design choices in the room seemed weird to me. The curtains don't cover the windows completely, so you can't close the curtains? Why are they there then? Also in the early morning you can hear everyone leave their room. The doors make a loud sound when they close, it woke me up several times.

Great location with awesome view of valley and town. Clean and neat. Nice outside areas to meet.

Beautiful old historical property in the forest with lots of hiking trails nearby and nice clean rooms! Cedric at reception was so kind and helpful!!

    It was great!!!

    10ShuzhengPosted on: 8-19-2024

Definitely has the potential to become a 5 star hotel. The main building is like a palace. Laying down by the side of the pond or play with the kid in the forest is outstanding. Picnic is also possible, even bbq place is well prepared.

    Time to upgrade the shower

The location is great. The hotel is beautiful and stylish with friendly staff. The food was very nice.

    Everything was great.

Great breakfast (especially the fresh bread). Price was really good. The location overlooking the city and surrounding area is very beautiful.

There was only half a curtain and my room was ground floor. People passing by could easily look into my room. For the nighttime i was able to put down shutters. Otherwise the room was quite small, but for the price its okay.

It was a quiet location. Outdoor areas were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

We were in the annex. Room was adequate but not 4☆ .

The hotel is in a great location, The inside looks fresh decorated

There was an extra charge for parking in the forest, the sauna was closed in the evening after 20:00,the room temperature was below comfortable, only one pillow and small blanket.Brekfast too expensive 21€

    7YuryPosted on: 12-20-2023

Quiet place, large and well looking hotel, large parking nearby. Good sauna facility with large relax zone.

    Poor internet connection

The facilities, rooms and breakfast are excellent. The staff nicely accommodated our late check in without issue.

    8RémyPosted on: 8-21-2023

Airco, shutters, the space, didn't hear neighbours, clean

Not so cosy, a little overpriced, sheets felt not of top quality

    7ZsuzsannaPosted on: 8-18-2023

We’ve stayed at the property last year en route and love the fact that it’s in the forest. We have our dog with us and it’s great to be able to take him for a proper walk off lead. The beds are large and comfortable and breakfast is very good

The room we had this year wasn’t as nice as before, the bathroom looked a bit tired and the shower gel hadn’t been filled so it was almost empty. Since the change in ownership, we felt that it just wasn’t as special as previously.

    7AfonsoPosted on: 7-20-2023

The hotel was refurbished recently Up in the hills, in the middle of a beautiful forest Nice breakfast

Even being almost empty, I was put in a room near the reception, at the entrance of the hall. It was very noisy!
