Comfortable outside table for enjoying some of drinks at night and special atmosphere of country wooden camping house surrounded in rural scenery.Very kind workers.

Location is quite far from centrum.

The place was very clean and nicely done. The staff was welcoming and very helpful.

The property is perfect for cycle tourers and other travelers as it has modern, tasteful rooms with excellent bathrooms. The on site bike garage with a range of tools to do bike repairs and the free laundry use are great facilities.

Nothing, as it is superbly thought through for cyclists.

It is a little outside the town, so no shops / restaurants around. But Lohr is at a walking distance.

This was our second stay here. Although this is called the Bike Lodge, and we did use it as a base for our bike trip along the River Main, it's actually an excellent modern hotel with a young enthusiastic staff, beautiful rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. Very reasonably-priced evening meals are also available, and there's a variety of local beers for the enthusiast. We were able to leave our car for a few days without extra charge while we did a five-day bike trip, taking trains to Kulmbach and cycling gently (about 60km per day) back to the hotel in Steinbach, Lohr Am Main . We'll certainly return here to explore more of the area

Peaceful, nice to have a night out of town, great concept, really great breakfast, friendly staff and relaxed vibe, great value dinner from a good but small menu

Convenient location close to the Main Cycle Route, at the edge of the village. Nice view of the open landscape from the room, possibility to have a pleasant hike in the hills around in the afternoon or in the morning. Very good and plentiful buffet breakfast (including, for example, hummus - very rare in other places).

Bicycle parking in the form of "wheelbenders" - a shame for a place called "bike lodge". Our room was labelled as "Premium" and it was the most expensive we stayed in on this trip, but in fact it was quite simple. I'm a big fan of minimalism, but a bedside table or a kettle in the room wouldn't hurt.

Great location, stunning interiors, cool vibe, family rooms, dog friendly, a kettle (and mini kitchen) in the room and gluten free breakfast options! What’s not to like?!

My third stay here and it is still perfect for cyclists and hikers and for groups and families. Arriving wet and muddy, the welcome is warm. Refreshed by a warm shower and coffee and cake in the restaurant. Dinner, usually a buffet, was an Easter special and very good value. Breakfast buffet was excellent. There are laundry facilities and a bike workshop if needed and plenty of space to relax and recover from the day's exertions.

Very friendly welcome, well-kept rooms, spacious layout

Rooms somewhat austere

First impression was the welcoming staff. The room was clean, the bathroom was quite spacious. The restaurant area is cosy and the breakfast was satisfing.

Aircondition would have been nice to have in that hot summer night.

The breakfast was not lavish but good. The evening meal for €20 was a buffet with varied and tasty food. The bathroom was luxurious with a powerful shower.

My suggestion for an improvement would be to fit an insect screen on the window. On a warm, humid night we had the choice between too hot with the window closed or mosquitos with it open. The price was too high for the size of room.

Great facilities for cyclists. Access to washing machine and dryer. Generous breakfast including bread baked in house. The manager, Benny, made sure we had all we needed to make our stay perfect.

Great concept bike friendly lodge that is perfect stop after long day of cycle touring. Friendly staff, new rooms and clean interior design. Upgraded to room with pleasant rural view and fresh breezes. Good breakfast and good beer and wine selection.

Chef was out so dinner a quite limited our night (but appreciated). Rooms are a bit cozy and the public space inside and outside could still use a bit more personality to feel a bit more welcoming.

Not cheap, but worth it

Very good food: dinner was venison and wild boar stew, good value

Near bike path with bike garage, comfortable rooms each accessed by outside veranda, modern bathroom. Friendly welcome. Barbecue and salad buffet was the meal offered the night we were there at €25 pp was delicious included meat and fish. All sat at benches outside as was a nice evening but there are tables and chairs inside.

A minor thing but fruit salad ran out half way through breakfast service.

Lovely chilled place. Very friendly staff. Food was good value and tasty. Room was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. It was simply lovely to have a place built around the needs of cyclists.

The bike stands are "wheel bender" racks screwed to the wall. Of course, no sensible cyclist used them. This is a big negative for a bike-friendly place and I hope they are replaced with proper floor stands instead.
