Hotel Lohr am Main

Clean comfortable room, bed, shower. Excellent location. Everything we needed to be rested and ready to continue cycling the next day. Perfect Breakfast. Bikes were stored in a connected garage around the back. Loved the grocery store across the street. "Late Reception" at 17:00 was an envelope in a file box with a key card in it. Room facing the street was fairly quiet with the windows closed.

Strange experience - NO ONE at reception at 17:00 and NO ONE else seen at the hotel until breakfast the next day along with minimal lobby furnishings was a bit creepy made us feel like we were in "The Twilight Zone."

The location after I got to know where everything was. The breakfast was great and the attendant was very helpful. After inquiring about a taxi, the desk clerk had one waiting for me when I checked out.

Arrived late on a Sunday, door was locked even after I notified them of a missed train. One desk clerk didn't seem to know about the local bus service.

The receptionist was not only rude but displayed a noticeable attitude towards me and my cousin, making us feel unwelcome right from the start.Our room was another major issue. There was no functioning AC, which made the room dangerously hot and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, there were no staff members available in the evenings to address these serious issues, leaving us with no recourse.The combination of poor customer service, lack of basic amenities, and unavailability of staff is unacceptable. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider their stay here until these significant issues are addressed by management.

A comfortable modern hotel which is only a short walk from the historic town centre. We asked for a wheelchair friendly room and were given one. The hotel was sufficiently good that we decided to extend our stay for a further night. There is direct access from the hotel to the Main cycleway via a shared footway/cycleway on the newer of the two bridges over the river. This is not immediately obvious but we found it.

The lighting in the room was subdued. A reading lamp in the corner away from the bed would have solved this. We didn't ask for one but it may well be that the hotel can provide such lamps on request.

It's a nice hotel, receptionist is very friendly, room is nice also.

There were no scrambled eggs or omelette at breakfast at 8 AM. The woman that worked there said the cook is not available and she doesn't know when he comes. I had to eat bread instead of normal breakfast.

Clean, nice personnel, nice room

Breakfast can be improved, I asked for sunny side egged and seemed not to be possible, very strange, eggs are easy to do. To go cups would help as well for coffee

They keep what they promise: asking the guests to indicate if room service is wished. No wish - no service. Bed and towels were in the exact status as I left them in the morning, saving time and energy.

Reception could not be reached prior to arrival (no one picking up the phone) for a longer period of time.Given that there was nearly no guest in the location it is unlikely that stressful reception work kept them away from it.check-in was easy, as I arrived late (reception not staffed anymore) and my key (card) was in an envelope at the entrance of the hotel. Everyone could have grabbed it...

I have upgraded the room for more 16€ to be with a blacony, I got a room without a balcony and they said we can not do anything about it.
