Radisson Blu Hotel Halle-Merseburg

Absolutely beautiful hotel with great location across from the Schlossgarten. The room was spacious, and the parking was easy to access. Also had a wonderful breakfast.

Location is very nice, restaurant is also good. Simple and proper menu.

Visited Merseburg during a bank holiday, therefore, there were limited options to eat out. Reception staff was very kind and helpful, calling restaurants to check which one was open and recommended the better ones - that worked out just fine. I also liked the patience when trying to figure out what I want with my broken German lol.

Rooms are a little old-fashioned. I think this fits the town and I had no problem with it, but I can understand if someone feels the hotel old(ish). Nevertheless, I liked the atmosphere still because it was different than "city life".

It was clean and the reception staff very helpful and friendly. We didn’t realise there was no aircon and the reception staff organised a fan for us as it was extremely hot.Breakfast was good but expensive.

A hotel without an air con should not be rated 4 stars.

No air conditioning. The curtain in front of the window was ripped and because of that didn't close properly, so the early morning light (traveled in July) woke me.

A nice place in the wonderful historic part of Merseburg. Rooms are nice and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good.

Napkins missing!

It is ridiculous that we could find napkins at the breakfast. They served a set of knife, fork and spoon with the cheapest and thinnest paper napkin wrapped in brown paper. There was no other napkin to find. That was extremely disturbing to me.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

We did not like the room as there was no air-conditioning. When we opened the window our rooms were attacked by bugs and mosquitoes as there was were no screen on the windows.

All is OK with the hotel, located in the middle of the Merseburg, 10 meters from the entrance to the park and palace. We stopped on the way to Austria, I can recommend.

No air conditioning, but the hotel is located in silent district, so you can open windows.

Staff are wonderful and friendly. Very appreciative of the Chef and restuarant team allowing us to order so late. overall was great value for money, in a lovely historical town, even if somewhat of a ghost town :-)

Horrible experience.

This was the worst Radisson Blu hotel, I've ever stayed. I normally choose this chain when i travel for work, so i thought I cant go wrong. Unfortunately, the hotel room had no AC. In the middle of the summer, the temperature was extremely high. The fact that when we got to the room and all windows were closed didnt help. Besides that, it was stinky. Even bad sheets stank terribly. I would not recommend this one to anybody. The receptionist at the check in was a poor experience. At least they could hire somebody who speaks a decent English.

In the suite we had everything was absolutely fine, unfortunately the weather was extremelly warm, the suite was on the top floor and like the Perverbial oven. A better cooling system is definately needed. Otherwise excellent.
