- This is my 2nd time at this hotel. The last time was 5 years ago. It’s in a beautiful location, surrounded by historical sights. The Basilica of St John is right across the street from it.Breakfast is traditional and wonderful.A big thank you to the fantastic staff at this establishment: Mr Can and Ms Songul. From the moment you walk in, their big smiles are waiting for you like family,
- nice owner and his lovely family
Cons -
- Fridge didn't work. Staff is least bothered to guide us on how to travel to attractions or to take a taxi. He was not at the reception whenever we looked for him.
- terrable front desk- Do not think about any help or even say”hi” during that “no-mannered” young man works
- Nothing, really. I only needed to stay one day, but would have happily stayed more.

The hotel is ideally located, near to the Basilica of St John and the castle, close to the main shopping area and a few minutes’ walk to the railway station - and not much further from the Otogar. The hotel accommodated my request for s slightly early check-in, and reception was friendly. There is no elevator but I was helped with bags getting upstairs. The room is a good size, quite plainly furnished but had the essentials. Shower and hot water were both fine. No complaints at all.
Nothing, really. I only needed to stay one day, but would have happily stayed more.
Nice older hotel. Good size room with comfortable bed Owner was very attentive and spoke English. Within 5-8 minute walk from bus and train stations. Very close to St.Johns basilica and castle.
Everything was good.
Staff were very kind, courteous and helpful, and the location was excellent. The hotel is centrally located for the church and fortress, museum, bus station, and train station also. Comfortable stay with a nice breakfast..
offers a fantastic experience the comfortable rooms welcoming staff and a great atmosphere make this hotel stand out the breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel is very convenient I recommend
Everything was good.
The location was very handy. The room was clean and adequate.
The bed was very hard and it came with a funny top cover sheet cloth that was quite rough. I used my own blanket.
Excellent location, really close to the centre of town and the basilica. The scent from the wisteria and orange blossom trees was amazing in the small lane.Check in was very smooth and being able to park outside was very helpful.Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The room was a good size and the shower was large and modern.
The hotel is situated in walking distance to the city center in the historic area of the town. It is very close to the remains of the church of Saint John, the castle and other points of interest. A good breakfast is served on the roof terrace with a gorgeous view.
Stunning location(St John's Basilica and castle) and central to bus Station and restaurants.
Very unwelcoming reception from young man on front desk (not so much about not speaking English but no info given, no greeting given or any smile).Rooms were very bland and out dated, also without linen upon arrival There was no welcome drink or mini bar as indicated. Also, very unusual not have any tea/coffee making facilities in the room.Breakfast was poor and very limited. It was noisy within the hotel at night.
Very cozy hotel. The room is comfortable and new. There was everything needed in the room: towels, toiletries, AC, TV. Beds are comfortable. The staff is very nice and friendly.

We had great time in Selçuk, and our stay in Selena Hotel was very pleasant. Fahri abi was very helpful, and happy to answer all of our questions about historical sites. :)
The location is great! it is near from the bus station, taxi station, restaurants and stores. From the bus station you take transportation for the attractions! The castle is near. The breakfast is good and the staff friendly and helpful! A plus was the internet, it was good!
Wonderful Budget Hotel, and close to all what is needed for a Lovely stay in Selcuk!!! It has a Walking Distance to the following:1- Very Lovely Cafe (Kalinos Cafe).2- Saint John Basilica and Tomb as well as the Huge Castle!!!3- All types of restaurants!!!4- Bus Station5- Train Station (esp Izban)Etc...A Must-Book Hotel .. ???
No Elevator, I had 1 big Bag but it is ok!!!
This family-run small hotel is in a great location for the centre of Selcuk, and very close to the Basilica of St John. The owners were very helpful in chasing up a taxi that we asked to arrive at 11.00am, and which finally arrived around 11.30am.
Unfortunately, the person on reception spoke hardly any English, though we had no real problems. But the whole hotel was a huge disappointment. The rooms, I think, were furnished in the 1970s and lack any kind of charm. I awoke in the middle of our first night and said out loud 'Oh, I hate this room!' My husband, who was also awake at the time, agreed.Cleaning lacked attention to detail: scuff marks on the walls, hair in the sink drain, and tired or broken items: the shower doors had been removed, for instance, and a light bulb was missing in the corridor at our end of the corridor, making access in the dark tricky. The price struck me as expensive, but we moved from our original choice at short notice, when we discovered we would have been on the second floor, with no lift (my husband, at 72, finds stairs difficult these days). The Selena had the (only) advantage of ground floor rooms. But our 'deluxe' room certainly was not. We won't be going back to the Selena. Sorry.
Centrally located as mentioned. Easy access to many areas.
We expected complimentary bottled drinking water along with tea/coffee as its provided in hotels of the equivalent range. Everytime you need to enter the hotel, a person from inside needs to open it for you. Although it didn't take much time for us, it could be bothersome.
Hmmmm... nothing
There isn't much good to say about this basically run down place. From the moment we arrived everything was bad. There was no water in the room and the manager rudely told us to go buy some ! Probably the only hotel I have ever seen that didn't offer water. Then we moved the bed over a bit and it was a pile of dust and dirt which took us about 20 mins to clean since there is no real cleaning service here it's just 1 old guy running it at night. The light didn't work so we only had the bathroom light which made a sound from the vent which is needed since it has no window. Also the bed sheets felt so old they itched from being so old and tough. The breakfast was stale bread, no coffee, nothing fresh, no fruit, just packaged jam, very old cheeses and some supposedly home baked cookies with no flavor. The location was ok but the whole city is small so its all close. The room also always smelled like smoke since they smoke right outside and it enters the hallway and through the windows. I wouldn't recommend in any way, especially considering how great most places usually are in Turkey but this one lacks heart and maintenance.
Excellent location and staff members attention , they were very kindly and warm people, they helped us a lot with information, tips and suggestions over Selcuk and Ephesus. The hotel is near bus terminal and St. Jhon catedral.
Our room had a very strong and bad smell in the bathroom.
Location
Well this place is not that it was bad, it is that we thought it would be something else. To begin with, the owner of the hotel does not speak much English although he always greeted us with a smile. The cleanliness in the bathroom left a lot to be desired and the little toilet paper made us a bit desperate. There is no telephone in the room so if you have any questions you have to go down to the reception. Breakfast was always boiled egg and we had to buy coffee because we never saw there. They helped us find a laboratory to test us for COVID but we felt that we paid mora money than than was supposed as well as the taxi they got us to see the attractions of the city.
