The accommodation was so nice. We had a suite tat stepped down about 5 steps to the bedroom with a beautiful sea view. Location perfect.

Maybe a bar in the terrace for apperitvo at sunset.

Many steps across the whole 2nd floor?! €20/day to park was too much when it's €4/day in the town and (possibly?) nothing after 1st October.

The location is great. The building looks fantastic

Don't expect a hotel. It is just a lodging There is a reception desk but no bar or restaurant. Nor even any toilets bar in your room. The breakfast in summer is on the rooftop and a great view but it is very limited and poor. Unless you want cake..In winter the breakfast is in a dark small "reading room" The historic legal documents mean that nothing can be built in front of the hotel too spoil the view.. But you have no view from the hotel room.I went back 3 times to my room expecting it to be cleaned but kept finding the mad outside but not started. And they are very few rooms in the place, just one floor.When I cam back to pick up my luggage I found reception closed and began to panic that I would miss my train.Could not work the TV and wi-fi patchy in the room..

Trani is beautiful and the location of the hotel in an old Ducal Palazzo in a square over looking the harbour, is wonderful.

The hotel looked magnificent online and although it was expensive, we had treated ourselves to a junior sweet - Sirocco - not with a sea view but reported to be over looking a quiet street. It looked onto a blank wall. The windows were slits set at floor level and although the room was large it was dark and gloomy with very little natural daylight. The electric lighting was generally sparse and poor with dim bulbs. It was not a comfortable room to sit and relax in. It had a kettle but no tea or coffee provided. We were even more disappointed to find that there was no Wifi available in that room - despite free Wifi being advertised by the hotel. Most channels on the flat screen TV were out of range. Limited mobile connection too. The staff stated this was a known problem. The room was a fair distance away from reception, on the 2nd floor. There were many marble steps to navigate to reach the room and because of the gloominess of the interior of the hotel I opened the window blinds in the corridor leading to our room to let in more light and avoid a fall. I was rung by reception and told off: 'do not open the blinds'. Breakfast was not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. The range of food was limited and of poor quality. Worst, it was set up on the terrace at the top of the building. This is probably lovely on hot days. The days we were there (Sept) there was a chilly wind blowing. The staff agreed it was terribly cold - they were wearing fleeces and gloves. All the tables were in the shade and when we suggested we sit at a table in a sunny part of the terrace we were told firmly we were not allowed to do that. Each morning, breakfast was a very cold, unpleasant and dismal affair. Overall, this was such a disappointing stay and not the relaxing treat we had anticipated. I can only assume that all these shortcomings, and the prevailing culture of authoritarianism, point to a lack of leadership and adequate management. Needs an overhaul.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful building, lovely staff and very nice breakfast on the roof terrace. The location is right in the middle of Trani, surrounded by things to see and bars / restaurants. Thank you for making our stay so brilliant.

The sea view was really only visible from the bed because of the odd placement of the windows, a result of the remodeling of parts of the original building. When we arrived the room temperature was 27°C, and it required a fan to eventually cool it to a reasonable temperature.

Great Hotel located in an old Palazzo. Superb location with friendly staff and fantastic roof top breakfast. Trani is really a great place. A must see if you are in Puglia. Only 35Km from the Bari Airport yet peaceful and serene.

Breakfast was ok but had to keep asking for items eg a spoon, milk

Location was excellent. Room elegant and well appointed. Parking good but the instructions were confusing. Possibly a poor translation into English.

The location was as close to the port as possible. It is very central and easy to get to. Parking was close by. Our room was a junior suite and overlooked the harbour. It was so beautiful to watch the sun set. The room was spacious and had a table placed to get the best view. The whole building is wonderful and emphasised security as well as privacy. I loved the fact that it had been a museum for coaches, a couple of fine examples are still there. The breakfast was served on the rooftop which further made the most of the view and the superb weather. Worth every cent.

The internet only worked for us when we stood outside reception. Never in our room. We raised it with reception but although they tried they were unable to resolve the issue.

Everything was fantastic, especially very helpful and nice staff! The facilities include constant access to the terrace with a great view and free coffee and water. The location is very central and convenient. It was one of the best hotels I have stayed at! Especially thanks to the warmth and welcoming that staff ensured every moment of my stay.

The most memorable stay during our journey in Italy. Stunning views, very central position, very welcoming staff at the reception. Catherina was extremely friendly, kind and made our stay exceptonal. THANK YOU.We got an opportunity to rent bikes and explore the seaside and Trani.Significant festival of St. Nicola was marked exactly on the days we were in Trani with a festive procession, live music and fireworks, so it was added value for us.Unforgettable roof-top terrace atmosphere, coffee machine and soft drinks served for free.Thank you for delicious breakfast with local delicacies.The place has got a very special SPIRIT of the history.

Staff were exceptional- friendly, polite and always ready to please. The room came with a sea view as an upgrade- this was very much appreciated. Hotel location is also very good.

The only minor issue was a small water leak from the ceiling of the room entrance.

It was beautiful and elegant.

Parking was a little difficult as there was a lot of traffic. We found temporary parking and walked to the hotel where they very kindly parked the car for us.
