Hotel Nikko Himeji

Close to train station, convenient to reach station through overpass, elegant and spacious.

The hotel is right in front of the station with many nearby shops. The coffee kit in the room was great!

The room lightning was abit dim (but maybe all of us were seniors), so we opened all possible sources of light.

The location was great—just a short walk to the station. The room was getting cleaned daily. Also, there was a gathering area to meet my relatives, and even the restaurant offered drinks for us to have a gathering time.

The second elevator was not in service at the moment of our stay. It made it hard to get to our room during peak times. The hotel should consider adding a gym since the pool is no longer an option.

the hotel is just right outside the train station which makes it easier for us. a lot of eateries nearby - even a lawson at the corner. rooms are slightly dated, but it’s well maintained.

rooms are slightly dated.

Very nice breakfast, staff very friendly, the location is excellent.

The room is too small and dirty. Bed is not comfortable. Air conditioning cannot adjust. Carpet and chairs are dirty. Bathroom is smelly.

Close to the Himeji station.Hotel staff members were polite and helpful. The breakfast was great.

I could see the hotel from the platform when I got off the Shinkansen

I thought the food prices were a little high in the lobby, but we didn’t eat there anyway, so it doesn’t matter

Great location. We enjoyed the Exec Twin room with large window, big bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. The housekeeping staff was very kind and hardworking. Helpful front staff. Highly recommended.

The scent was a bit strong when you enter the lobby.

The location was excellent- right next to the station and about 20mins walk to the castle. The bed was also very comfortable and the room had great blackout curtains.

The location is perfect, right in front of Himeji station. Parking on site available. Room was clean and the staff was very kind to us when checking in/out.

It feels very premium for the cost. Very luxurious lobby, and many shops in the first floor. The hotel room itself is very nice as well, with plenty of amenities. However, the restroom could use some better lighting and the wash faucet is very close to the edge and is hard to use. Otherwise, wonderful room. Love the view of the station, honestly.

I do wish they would verify more information before giving out room keys. My sister arrived first, and I arrived at midnight. I ‘checked in’ separately, but all I had to do was to show them her name, without further verifying booking details or my identity. Seemed odd, unless they are using super advanced biometrics.

Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location

No complaints

Just opposite the South exit of the Railway station

Outdated furniture, worn out, no usb socket

Smoking allowed room insisted to be given by reception; room was stinking under tobacco odor. Breakfast was ok; but equipments/devices in hotel were quite outdated and before the elevator there was always a queue or huge waiting times.

The room is big with very good amenities. Its location is great, it is just next to the JR Station and very convenient to reach to a lot of restaurants and shops.

The hotel is a little bit old but is still in good condition.

Location is wonderful

Noise from upper level construction.Room needs updates

Convenience to station, hotel was clean and tidy.

Room was ok. Decor

Location is great just next to the train station which is very convenient

It’s an old building with faulty air conditioning that only blowing hot air even though the setting is on cold air. When raised this to the front desk, one of the floor staffs turned up at my door with a portable fan as if he knew in advanced of the problem ! It’s also no point to change room as it’s the problem of their centralised system and every room will have the same problem. The room eventually cools down abit with a portable fan that we can still get some sleep. Cannot imagine if this is summer and there’s no advance warning. I know it’s not the staffs fault as it’s beyond them and I put this as poor management not a typical Nikko standard unfortunately. Unless they sort this out I will not recommend anyone stay here unless you just want a simple sleep over the night for your early departure to the train station. Maybe in the peak of winter this might not be a big problem but still in a small confined room with poor air circulation and ventilation it’s not easy.

Location, close to everything. Literally behind the station. The staff is very friendly, I came in early and they delivered luggage to my room when I came back. The room size is larger than average in Japan.

The location was superb

The twin sharing room is small and decor is dated
