Himeji Castle Grandvrio Hotel

Onsen is great. Sauna, steam room, several pools. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free shuttle to and from train station. Spacious lobby with chairs and tables if you want to sit. Laundry and small kiosk on site.

It’s in the wrong side of the train station for any restaurants or stores. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Price and location

It was incredibly noisy!I got woken up at 5 AM and could not go back to sleep. So much noise!!!

We only stayed one night but it as very comfortable. The hotel had an onsen which my wife took full advantage of as it was free to use . The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. WiFi was good and the facilities were good too. On a personal note I was extremely grateful to the staff who kindly forwarded my glasses (I’d left them behind) to our next hotel and at no extra charge. Excellent customer service. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Himeji.

Everyone should try the onsen and the shampoo station. They are the best. The location is very convenient. Very close to Himeji castle. And the staff, they are very helpful and friendly.

Smell of smoke, no ac, air purifier full of dirt, fixtures falling off

The onsen was really good. My family and I enjoyed the onsen very much. The onsen was clean. Other than that, the overall cleanliness is very good.

The room is too small. For 2 people to stay there (my wife and I was in one room while my 2 daughters were in another room), it's very cramped and there's barely any space to put your luggage.

Shuttle bus service from the station was very convenient.Onsen bath was great. Amenities were great too.

Coffee at breakfast was bad.

Super small room, dirty lamp and when I raised my head to ventilation I got scared of amount of dust it has, blankets were strange, looked like not replaced only sheet ynder blanket, and quite a lot of noise from outside of ac's if you would like to sleep in fresh air. Not recommended.

Booking.com had said that the hotel provided free paring. This was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. However, the hotel charges 1200 yen for parking-- so I felt unhappy.

you can feel the hotel is old; despite being in non smoking room you could easily smell cigarette smoke coming through vents in bathroom thorugh whole day

The room was old, dirty and veryyy small.

The breakfast menu was the same everyday. I am Muslim and had limitations with some meal. There was only pork sausage, why not chicken sausage? It is important to consider the multi choice.

The TV only in Japanese language, it was tuff to stay in the sleeping room.

Clean and good location

There was no power near the bed, the air con was very noisy and either too hot or too cold. You can hear some road noise.

Himeji Castle Grandvrio Hotel is mostly frequented by older Japanese couples who visit the large and complete onsen. It was fun to join this Japanese tradition for an evening. The rooms are a bit outdated, with a bed in which we did not fit well. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the station and somes 20 minutes from the castle.

The size of the bed.

Good facilities. Hotel might be old but it is well maintained. Public bath is exceptional. Breakfast is good. About 10 minutes walk to Himeji Station. Lot's of local travellers staying in the hotel hence why most signs/instructions are in Japanese but staff is ready to assist. Will definitely stay again in the future.

•The room and bathroom were a bit old-fashioned, the room smelt very smokey despite it being a non-smoking room, especially when the bathroom fan was on. • You could only rent bikes for 2 hours.

The onsen as it was fairly spacious although no outdoor. Neat and clean rooms.

Clean, affordable and great service. The man who was on the counter at the time was really accommodating, providing lots of information.
