Himeji Ekimae Universal Hotel Minamiguchi

Insane that the dinner was included in this already VERY cheap location. Dinner was simple but enjoyable. The included onsen was just icing on the cake!

Room was kind of dirty, and ac was bad.

Good value for money. We liked the complementary dinner. It's very nice that the public bathhouse can be accessed with tattoos. One minute walk from the station and 24 hours reception. Our room was bigger than expected

The big bath was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable. The food was acceptable, though not anything special.

It is a bit aged, and while I wouldn't say it was dirty, it is not shiny and new. The elevators are pretty slow.

Great value since room rate included both a simple breakfast and dinner. The location was very convenient, located right next to the train station. Plenty of restaurants and shops closeby.

You really can’t beat the location—right next to the train station and perfectly positioned in the heart of Himeji. Step outside and you’re moments away from shopping, great food, Himeji Castle, and even the zoo. For the price, the hotel offers solid value: clean, comfortable rooms with all the essentials, and a breakfast that leans into local flavors—an enjoyable way to start the day. The staff were warm, attentive, and consistently professional throughout our stay. On-site paid parking is available as well, making it an easy and convenient base for exploring everything the city has to offer.

There’s really nothing substantial to complain about. This hotel delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, budget-friendly stay at an affordable price. It isn’t aiming to be a luxury property, and that’s important to keep in mind. If you’re seeking high-end amenities or a more premium experience, there are certainly upscale options nearby. But for travelers who value convenience, cleanliness, and good overall value, this hotel does the job well without any real drawbacks.

The dinner was of course not amazing but I was super happy with the salad bar. Breakfast with many options, not so many if you prefer western style breakfast. Great location, friendly staff.

A bit outdated.

Very close to the Himeji Station, also lots to convenience stores nearby, breakfast and dinner included is awesome. Room was clean and good space for everything. There was always staff available for assistance if needed.

Bathroom a little bit small but just fine!

Very good location. The fact that the price includes evening meal and breakfast. It has a public bath and infrared sauna.

The hotel is starting to show its age. The rooms are clean, but don’t look under the beds. Some of the female staff lack patience when dealing with foreign guests. The evening meal is bland at best - beef curry with rice or pork cutlets with rice (the pork was cold).

Very reasonable price! Free breakfast and dinner are provided, and there is also a public sauna available. The location is great, only 2min of walk from the train station and the bus station.

You can’t find the place that you want to save money. They serve a breakfast and dinner and they charge a little!!!!

They have a nice public bath and sauna but temperature is not really hot.

No signage in English that you are actually at the hotel, entrance unrecognizable. Hallways are in open air, cold wet and drafty. Beakfast closes at 9 am which is quite early, at 8.40 we were the last people to get served.
