Golden Gate Suites

There isn't much to say about this hotel. About the only thing was the closeness to where needed to go.

The wifi was awful, no continental breakfast didn't receive the room requested on reservation. Truly not worth the money spent to stay.

It was available with no notice.

No shower curtain, no toiletries, tattered towels. Music in the alleyway was constant. They kept most of my deposit stating a towel was “stained”. I looked at it later. It was dirt from my slippers. Not stain. They put water bottles in the room and charge on checkout.

I book the matrimonial deluxe suite and it was a small little stuffy room that i really could never stay in. I upgraded to a suite and it was much more spacious and they came in and gave it a good cleaning for me. I stayed an extra three nights at total of five because the location was central in dumaguete. No opening windows to the outside and i had a hard time getting fresh air.Not a bad place but maybe 5 days was too much.

Really friendly and accommodating staff. Secure and safe.

No good workspace in the room to use laptop, aside from sitting up in the bed. There was a chair, but not really effective desk space.

I paid for two extra nights after my first 3 nights stay and on leaving they wanted extra 500 pesos although I had already paid for the room as they said it was a higher standard room. I stayed in two different rooms they use words like deluxe etc they are all basic of low quality

Location and staff great. Very accommodating. Internet was good.

Sheet was very thin, bed was a bit on the firm side. No bidet or bucket. Shower was moldy and the room had a moldy smell.

Central located, clean, and professional staff

We appreciated the free water and kettle for making hot drinks. The reception staff were very professional. Appreciate the ability to check our bags at check out while we still did city sight seeing.

There was some confusion of what was being purchased. When I booked the room I thought we were getting the family room with 2 beds, but got the room with 2 beds. Much cheaper but very small for 2 adults. The AC was quite noisy. No windows to the outside.

Room was clean , peaceful & quite . It also accessible to trikes and near malls and restaurant and 7/11 is just on the same building . Overall we liked our stay ??

1️⃣ Top on the list is the Location. It’s very accessible to almost all important offices and stores. Convenience store just outside the hotel, police station, arcade and fast food near by, walking distance spa and salon, supermarket, pharmacy, boulevard, and many more.2️⃣ Second on the list is the Shower. The Hot and Cold shower is consistent according to our set preference, Since day 1 up to day 5, their shower temperature has been the most relaxing bath time we had.3️⃣ Third on the list is the WIFI. All throughout the almost a week stay at the hotel, the wifi has been working effectively. We can simultaneously access various work sites and emails, while playing youtube on the background and scrolling social sites on multiple gadgets without having to worry about the internet speed.4️⃣ Others: ✅Orderliness of the Room, ✅Free Hot, Warm, and Cold Water Refill at the Dispenser provided outside each floor, ✅Quiet Hotel Room, ✅Easy Access to Front desk via landline.

There is almost none, though we had a bit of an exercise since there is no elevator. We had to use stairs every time we go up and down the third floor room. It would be better if there will be an elevator in the near future.

The "view" was a brick wall.Very dark. Felt like being in a cave.Surrounding area is grubby.

The bathroom had no mirror hard to shave with no mirror and the 2nd time the shower was very small

Great for a one night stay. Room is small but clean and was just fine for what we needed.

Toilet was broken but I fixed it.

It was central. My room was quiet. Air conditioning good. Some cups for my tea. Hot and cold water available every day. Good TV with sport and films in english

My room wasn't cleaned once in 5 nights. Had to ask for toilet paper as I ran out. Nowhere to put toothbrush or soap by the sink

golden gate has been my choice when staying in dumaguete. The location is at the center of everything, few blocks away from the boulevard, they have 7-11 right below the hotel, across of it are nearby pharmacy, market (where you can buy budbud - their delicacy) and places to eat.

Good value and central. Short walk from the promenade. Was quiet at night. Had a window although not all rooms do.

Bit musty but not uncomfortably so. Could do with a kettle and cups.

location excellent, easy check in , pleasant staff.

Friendly staff, convenient to most everything in Dumaguete, 24hr shop at the entrance, the c/c and shower worked well. Water dispenser in the hall that provides both cold and very hot water!
