Hotel Catalunya

The breakfast was excellent with the best views across the marina. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The location was excellent only a few minutes walk from the old town. The room was very clean but very bland with no colour and no art work on the walls.

Clean, comfortable, and great view. Staff was nice.

Shower heads were modern but need to be replaced as they were not functioning well. The entire upstairs bar was closed for a private event and thus not available.

The room we stayed in needs some renovation, didn't really match the pictures.The coffee in the breakfast room was really bad.There was parking but in a different building.

-Central location.-We had a spacious room with a balcony with a nice view of the city center and the sea.

-The sofa bed was not made for our child even though the reservation was clear about this.-Our room was directly below the roof restaurant/bar and we could hear chairs being moved until late in the evening.

Desk staff: very kind and helpful, they arranged for us to get laundry done and gave us amazing local food recommendations. Buffet breakfast: exceeded expectations in its breadth and quality.Junior suite with balcony: super spacious, lovely design, with a very comfortable bed and that balcony that we never wanted to leave because of its amazing views of the town, marina and the ocean. The sunsets alone were totally worth the upgrade!

We had a junior suit. The view from the room is spectacular! You can see the old town and the harbour. Bed is kings size and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Location was perfect.

A/C not work well, didn’t cool down room. Fitness room doesn’t open until late am, with no exceptions.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Great views from top floor where you have breakfast. Room was spacious and clean. We had a great view of the old town. 5 minute walk to the old town which was stunning.

Windows could have had better sound proofing.

Air conditioning was terrible and monitored by the front desk. It messed up our entire stay.

The room was very large, especially for Italian hotel standards. The location was also great, quiet and central. Near the water and old town! Good breakfast. Also the staff were very kind.

We had 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and one for my sister. My sisters room on night one had an AC leak, so she woke up to dripping water and a puddle of water about 1-2 inches deep on our first night. Night two, the fire alarm went off. Night 3, my sisters door frame came off every time she would close the door and she could see into the wall… Day 4 my husband got stuck in the elevator momentarily.Also the AC wasn’t strong and cold. Overall, it was perfectly fine. A LOT of maintenance is needed. It feels like the property is getting old and needs a little TLC. It would be best to not put guests in rooms with known issues such as AC leaks etc… Overall though, it was adequate for our needs. Clean, nice staff and comfy bed.

The property location was great, the view from the 9th floor where breakfast and aperitif are served is fantastic, the employees are great especially at the 9th floor and front desk.

The bathroom didn’t seem to have ventilation.

The air conditioner didn’t get cold enough, the minimal was 22 degrees. It’s high fur the summer, should be like 18 degrees.

Close to the Marina. Beautiful panoramic views over the city. Professional an helpful staff.

If the parking was a bit closer to the hotel it would’ve been perfect.

Hotel with an excellent location, very close to the historic center. Room with enough for a comfortable stay. Breakfast on the rooftop offers a very pleasant city view.

Excellent location, fantastic sea view and friendly & helpful staff!We stayed here in May for 2 nights through two different reservations as consecutive nights were not available in either reservation sites then. And we like our stay at Hotel Catalunya very much. The staff (a young lady-thank you) tried to bridge the two so we didn't have to move rooms the next day. Although we ended up having to change rooms, we appreciated her effort and the move was smooth. Both rooms were fantastic with great sea views, especially the 1st night in Jr. suite with a balcony. The rooms were spacious with everything we needed. Although the furniture and deco are not luxury, they are clean, decent and simple for its category. When the room temperature was too cold, we found out that the front desk could easily adjust it to our liking. The hotel is next to a park, walking distance to the old town, marina and good restaurants. The staff's recommendation of nearby seafood restaurants was excellent! Thanks to you-we had one of the best (Catalan-style lobster & freshest muscles) seafood dinners.

The hotel parking was a bit far, three or four blocks away, but still manageable and a guarantee for a peace of mind. It was a bit challenging to park/stop for unloading at arrival, especially with one-way streets. Breakfast was mediocre, but the sea view from the restaurant was to die for.

Our room was pretty small.They had a conference going on and the feeling is that less attention was given to guests who were not part of it, like ourselves.
