Vel Marì - Rooms on the Beach

The property is in a prime location and the views are amazing. The staff were super helpful and friendly and even gave us recommendations for places to eat. The room was clean and perfect for 2-3 people. We were right on the beach and rented chairs and an umbrella for a very good rate. They serve complimentary breakfast which was delicious and they have an all day menu which looks great. The cafe in the lobby was also great.

The rooms are a little outdated but we didn’t have any issues given the location and all the other amenities. The parking lot is down a dirt/sand road and lighting is scarce but again, not a huge negative or issue.

This place is actually on the beach. It was great. The breakfast was good and plenty. The hotel restaurant cooked great fresh fish and roasted vegetables, more than I could eat.

The rooms are a bit dated and could use some repair and paint.

The location is just perfect.

The bed was solid rock and the hot water was luke warm.

The location was perfect for a quick one night stay for us. The staff was friendly, breakfast was great.

Breakfast was good and the food generally good too. Location wise it was very easy drive into Alghero. Great by the beach location and would imagine that the shallow shelving beach / sea bed great for kids learning to swim as nice and safe.

WiFi was very poor, broken loo seat and walls quite thin as we heard every word from a couple next door who were loudly banging doors and arguing.

Great place, right on the beach. The staff was very very helpful, in advance on Whatsapp, and on site as well. Breakfast was nice. Very close to the airport, and the city. We just needed a night's stay after a late flight, and we wish we could have stayed a bit more.

The room is a bit simple, but still nice. You need to pay for the sunbeds/parasols on the beach. But no problems really.

Alghero was a last minute decision, and I was delightfully surprised by and impressed with the accommodation! Clean, cool, on the bus line to the historic center and a 5 minute walk across the bridge to Fertilia for the local grocery and restaurants with a nice little waterfront. Quiet! The Roman bridge was also a highlight. Breakfast was a good spread and the restaurant/bar on site was convenient.

The walls are thin and there was no way around the symphony of “enthusiastic escapades” of the couple in the next room. Every unit has a lovely outdoor area, but the same couple smoked non-stop (cigarettes and cigars) any time it was pleasant enough to sit outside, so being asthmatic, I felt a bit relegated to my room whereas I would have enjoyed the space more. A comfortable smoking area at the end of the patio could be a nice solution as there is plenty of space. Parking is difficult on weekends - there are limited spaces for the property and the lot abuts the other side of the public beach, so if you leave, you may be parking in a sandy lot way down until the crowd clears.

Felt like a private beach. Very few people around..Beds were comfy. Room was practically on the beach. Sea view from the room and terrace. Food was pretty good.

Rooms are very basic. Poorly maintained.

We liked that it is super accessible and away from Alghero (15’ by bus) while close to Fertilia (7’ by walk) making it ideal to relax while also catch some action easily. The staff is very kind and the stay was very good value for money!

The only thing I suppose it the size of the shower cabin, but generally we are very satisfied for the price we paid.

It was an amazing experience. My flight was delayed but there was a self check in option as well, and during my whole stay the stuff was really helpful. Amazing breakfast, everything its really close. Thank you for everything! :)

The property is directly on the beach which was great. We stayed here as it’s very close to the airport which is less than a 10 minute drive. Has a bar and cafe area which is nice. Staff were friendly.

Rooms are clean but basic, our shower cubical was tiny! It’s also quite noisy our room was next to the kitchen and was woken with clanging of pans early in the morning.

The location was brilliant, literally on the beach, mere steps to the ocean. The bedroom was basic but clean and comfortable, included a mini fridge, tv and air-con. The shower had great water pressure and was nice and hot. Breakfast had a good variety to choose from, the coffee was delicious and there was a bus stop right beside the property to get you to and from Alghero town and the airport for €1 each way. Special mention to the staff who were super helpful and friendly, would highly recommend.

Not a huge amount of placed to eat/drink nearby, but a bus into Alghero takes only 20 minutes.

Location is great, apartment was clean. Staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious.

Goog location near the city centre, great terrace by the beach.

Poor water drainage in the sink and bidet and a wobbly board on the toilet bowl.

Excellent location on a beautiful white sandy beach. Good air conditioning. Excellent breakfast with good range of choices. Friendly and helpful staff.

Small bedroom with thin walls.Bathroom had a tiny shower.Also, bathroom could do with a shelf.

Nice breakfast with a big selection. Location is okay as you're right beside the beach but also beside an old port with old ships.Staff were friendly too & rooms are cleaned daily

Beach could be crowded at times as it's open to both hotel guests & the public. Parking can be tough depending on the time as again it's open to the public.Nearby camping park which has entertainment going on well into the night. Didn't bother us, but could imagine it could be annoying for some people.

Accomondation directly on the beach. Very convinient. Very nice and helpfull staff.

A bit old equipment. Mainly bathroom and old noicy bed.
