Great location! Very close to the beach, the bus and the old town…

Location was good, and the room was clean. The cleaning staff did a good job.

I didn’t like that the hotel was overpriced. Breakfast was very poor — limited selection, and even what was available often ran out. We had to chase the staff to bring more food and wait for it. Overall, a very bad experience.

Lovely welcome at reception. Room on the third floor had a balcony and a view of the beach opposite. Comfortable room, good breakfast and excellent Wi Fi. It's a bit of a walk to the old town and the hotel is on a busy road but it was quiet enough at night.

Would have liked tea/coffee and a kettle in the room

The location was great. A quick walk and we were inside the old city walls with all the restaurants, small shops and gelato places. And the staff was 100%

The washroom was way too small. I hardly could take a shower, and I'm 155cm tall. The room was OK and beds good, but not extra space to open luggage.

Very nice location, had a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view and evening. There is a fridge in the room. Super friendly staff. The hotel is right by the beach.

The elevator was very small.

we had a lovely stay in Hotel Il Gabbiano, the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. the hotel is across the road from a lovely beach and we could walk into the old town. we hope to be back in the future.

Medium as was limited to some cold cuts and cheese. Boiled eggs Yogurth. Crossaints and cakes & toast.I would have loved some scrambled eggs and sausages / bacon.Drinks was enough

The position Is excellent, especially if you decide to not rent a car, 10 minutes walk from the city centre ( which is very pretty) and directly on the beach front. The hospitality is amazing. They gave us spontaneously an upgrade of the room including the balcony which wasn't included in the original reservation. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast abundant. Highly recommend.

The hotel gives you a ‘90 vibe. Classical Italian 3star Hotel. It reminded me of the period when I was young and went with my parents at the seaside. I could hear my hotel neighbors sneezing :)

- Location was very nice, walking distance to the old town, and there is a beach in front of the hotel just on the opposite side of the road- They let use check in a bit earlier which was very kind and make use happy- Staff at the reception were very kind and flexible-7/24 reception is a plus

- The breakfast was between 8:00-10:00, would be better a bit earlier, and the selection was every day the same and nothing special (there were no vegetables at all)The lady who coordinated the breakfast was a bit strict, you had a feeling that all of your steps followed all the time (and she didn't speak English but always try to say something)- The family rooms (non of them) have no sea view option and we had no balcony, so all our daily wet things need to be dried within the room which makes the room a bit smelly- You are asked by the hotel policy to leave the key in reception every time when you leave the hotel, which is a bit uncomfortable when you have to ask every 5 minutes (e.g left something in the room, or the need beck to toilet)- For the price you had a bit of over charged feeling

Great Hotel just opposite the beach. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely. Hosts we're so nice.

- room service was great, everything was perfectly clean and cleaned on daily basis- receptionists were very helpful, nice and always smiling. They even let us check in 4 hours earlier than was the official time for check-in. - balcony was appreciated, so swimsuits could be hanged there. However, not every room has a balcony so there is an additional charge for a room with the balcony.- beds were comfortable- location is great - a few minutes' walk from the city centre, right next to the Lido di Alghero Beach, 30 minutes' walk from Maria Pia Beach, near to the bus stops

- breakfast was fine but everyday almost the same options with no vegetable - according to what we read, Italians don't eat vegetable for breakfast...- the main road is right next to the hotel, so you can hear the traffic noise when you open the window- shower is quite small, not much space there when you close the shower doors

-Not far from the city centre (walking distance - after a chill beach day :) )-Sandy beaches close to the hotel-The staff at the reception was very helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. If we had any questions or needed any help, they were always open to help / advise

The hotel is in a very good location, the oldtown is a 10-minute walk, the beach is really few steps away.The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is really good. The staff is simply fantastic! They are all very nice and help with everything.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable & within easy walking distance of all activities on the strand. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here

Our outside view wasn't exactly nice to look out but that's not the hotels fault either

Small room and lot of noise.I expected more for the price we paid.

Location

A bit in need of refurbishment. There was very little recreational space, no bar and the one vending machine would only take coins . I don’t carry coins!

The hotel is very well located. 10 minutes walk to the old town, 2-3 minutes to the beach. There are several bus stops (e.g. beach bus) within 1-2 minutes walk. As it is next to a main road, it is a bit noisy with the windows open. The view from the terrace is spectacular, with a beautiful sunset. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable.

I did not have a particularly negative experience, the price was a bit high for the service provided.

The location was good.It was very clean and staff excellent.

Very basic.Rooms small and especially bathroom and shower.No facilities to shower on the evening we were leaving. This is the first time any of us have experienced this lack of facility. We had to change in a toilet and wash from a hand basin in the toilet.

Location, possibility of parking (15 eur/day)

Breakfast (better go for non-breakfast option)
