    Pros +

    • Overall a good experience. The staff are really nice and friendly. Rooms are nothing special but look reasonable for that price.
    • Great location that was quiet at night. Loved having a balcony to sit on and watch the sunset
    • I appreciate the hotel’s location close to the historic city center. Also, the staff is very polite (thumbs-up for Massimiliano), who showed us what to visit (beaches as well as bars/restaurants) and kindly offered us a beach umbrella to use during our stay.

    Cons -

    • There are no shelfs in the bath cabin where you can put your shampoo or shower gel which. It's quite noisy during the night.
    • The bed was so hard, very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs from the mattress.
    • rooms are a bit dated, and could use a touch-up in their furnishing - We felt like the VFM wasn't that high for how much we've paid. The location could've been better too - Not bad, but almost 20 mins walking from the center of town

staff was very attentive, pleasant and nice, and gave us awesome recommendations for our stay duration. They even helped us to try and find street parking instead of paying for the garage they work with. A/C is not trivial in those parts and it helped!

❤️Our stay at Hotel Villa Piras was amazing! Huge thanks to Maximiliano at reception — he made our trip unforgettable with his incredible energy, great sense of humor, and super helpful attitude. He created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere for us.

The only small thing was a bit of noise at night, probably from some pipes. But after a glass (or two) of good Italian wine, we slept like babies!?

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were quite spacious. The breakfast was great, with lots of options.Location-wise it was a bit out from the city centre but was still close to many clubs and eateries - not to mention close to the water.

    It was clean.

We paid for the sea view. But got a roof view. This is top floor of the hotel. SPA didn’t work. No beach.

    Clean, friendly staff, good location.

Inconsistent shower water temperatures, freezing/hot. Breakfast could’ve been better.

I liked the staff Wonderful people

Location is very far from the centre Sea View yes but a couple of kilometres walk to find a beach suitable for swimming. Public bus service very poor and no hotel Shuttle which I had "booked" to collect me from the Airport Certain things are important for a lady travelling alone Also I requested a shower mat (safety) but didn't get one Had to purchase one to avoid a trip and fall hazard on tiled floor

    7IsiaPosted on: 9-22-2024

    Close to the center

The shower too small, we could hear everything trough the wall.

excellent hotel. the room was very big and super clean. we upgraded to balcony with sea view and it was totally worth it. the staff was very friendly from the security guard to the ladies at breakfast. they were always very helpful and smiley. the breakfast was plentiful with fresh buffet every morning. and let's not forget the rooftop terrace with an amazing view on the sea.

it's not really a bad thing but the room could do with a lamp. or maybe they could use less brighter bulbs for the bedside.the light was too bright for us so we had to turn on the light in the bathroom and leave the door ajar.

We did like the location immediately, and we were greeted with a smile. Everyone talks good english here so the communication is great.

The room was nothing like the pictures. Old and simple furniture. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mini fridge was making a lot of noise at night. There wasn't enough hot water in the shower for the second person showering, and the shower good doesn't close properly.

    Late check in

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR PICTURES - NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL - Added Pictures below!Balcony Room was terrible overall. Beds are in terrible shape. Damp smell. Stained bedsheets. Blanket provided in wardrobe was stained with what looked like dry sexual fluid! Extra pillows hard as rocks. Doors paper thin, you can hear everything going on outside - good luck getting some good sleep!Management were hostile and rude - refused to address our concerns at all. Night check-in staff lied to use and said wait til morning and all will be sorted - it wasn't! We are very reasonable people and would have been fine had the staff worked with us at all but nope. Terrible attitude to customer service.4 night stay booked for £500 and we were mortified by the state of room/staff, felt like we were staying at a ghetto retreat. We left immediately in the morning and booked another hotel elsewhere. They refused to refund for the remaining 3 nights lol.Terrible, terrible experience all around. This hotel is stuck in the '90s.Breakfast buffet in the basement was also terrible but that was the least of our problems. This hotel isn't even cheap by Alghero standards, so BE AWARE. If the hotel management read this - find God and do better.

A good, clean 3 star hotel, with very nice, dedicated staff. We get also an upgreaded sea view room. Good breakfast, clean room and bathroom. Recomand! Great value for money!

The terase could be more "arranged".

We enjoyed our stay very much in Hotel Villa Piras. The staff was friendly, still smiling that brought a good feeling and spoke English fluently. We don't speak Italian, but we'd tried a little and they really appreciated that. The hotel is quite old-fashioned, but not in a bad way. I think it completes the atmosphere of Alghero. The hotel's near the city centre, like 10-15 mins walking. The breakfast was delicious.

WiFi wasn't working correctly during our stay, but I think it's a temporary issue.
