Hotel La Margherita & SPA

Excellent location, beautiful property with wonderful and helpful staff

Good amenities. The rooftop bar had a wonderful view of the city and was so nice at sunset. The staff was very responsive to resolve issues and give suggestions.

The room was not clean. There were hairs everywhere. The showerhead broke the first time we used it. Thankfully the maintenance staff corrected it as soon as possible. There was a charge for the pool which is kind of ridiculous.

The Staff specially Francesco went above and beyond to helps us , he got called a taxi, check the bus schedule, suggested alternstives and really took care of us. With more pp like him doing this job I will def come back .

I like the location and the beautiful roof view.And also antique furniture. I really enjoyed it.

Parking is a real challenge in Alghero

The hotel needs renovation. It is kind of shabby. The bathroom had no drain on the floor and flooded after every shower. The SPA area is small and is paid separately.

The rooftop swimming pool is very nice, with a beautiful view. We used it a couple of times and were often alone.

The room was very 1980s, simple, with questionable light fixtures, but kept very clean every day.

Great location, nice hotel, amazing rooftop bar! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is fine, we even had a small balcony. We didn't try the spa, so no info on that. Just stayed for a night, was perfect for that.

The soundproofing isn't great, especially the door of the room. We could hear everything from the corridor, every door being opened closed. And we could hear our neighbors talking through the wall (but they were pretty loud to be honest). It was okay for one night, but that would annoy me during a longer stay.

Convenient location, nice room with balcony, enjoyed the breakfast room and lounge in the evening overlooking the city sunset. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful during our stay.

Would have liked coffeemaker/ hot water kettle in the room as we are early risers before breakfast.

The location was great, the staff were excellent. The location of the breakfast room, it has a beautiful view. We had a small car and for a fee were able to use the small hotel garage. Bonus mention, room recently renovated and had a BEAUTIFUL shower and bathroom. The room itself was very nice and it had a large balcony! I would recommend this Hotel!

Two concerns, This was an upgrade for us, as far as our Hotel bookings. We purchased Seaview with a balcony. What we didn't know was our room was next to the bar and on one night it was quite loud. Thankfully the staff notified them and it was turned down immediately. The other concern was there was not a coffee maker in the room. a surprise as other places we stayed there was one available, Yes ,we were close to breakfast room and that may have been the reason for not providing it. It was a miss in our opinion!

I travelled with my sister and we spent three days in Alghero. The hotel is perfect ! It is ideally located. Near the most important points of interest of the city and close to public transport. The room the bathroom are clean and the service is very good. Always polite and ready to help ! Don’t doubt it and go to La Margherite !

Nothing. Everything was perfect

The hotel staff were friendly, polite and spoke good English, thank you! The hotel is within close walking distance to the old town. The rooms, though small and basic were clean. The breakfast space, on the top floor, is a cheerful sunny spot for breakfast and evening drinks, with a good view. The selfserve breakfast options were good and ample

No kettle in the room, for making hot drinks. The walls are not sound proofed, so we could hear the neighbours e.g. flushing the toilet and the children playing. Also, our two rooms being on the 4th floor, directly under the breakfast and bar area, had the full force of noise from scraping chairs, music and chatter. A room change couldn't be accommodated for us.We didn't like the single use plastic cups in the bathroom, and that all towels were changed daily whether used or not. The safe in the room didn't work. The bed was too firm and room dated and boring. The balcony was small with majority of a city view than sea view, but it did have sun in the afternoon

I want everyone to notice that the spa isn't free. There is nothing other than a room, you can use it in the hotel for free You're just booking your room.

The central location, the fifth floor bar/breakfast room newly renovated and with great view, good quality breakfast, new lifts, staff helpful and professional, we changed room without any problem because the one assigned had no wi-fi, and I had a massage of good quality.

The rooms are in bad need of renovation, cracked tiles, rusty mirrors, old furniture, hard mattresses. In room 430 the toilet didn’t flush. Bad wi-fi connection. No sound proof, we could hear the people next door talking loudly until 2 am, even if the reception asked them twice to tone it down. The garage is tiny and we couldn’t book in advance even if other guests did.

Location

Never stayed at a hotel that you had to pay for pool. Wasn’t offered any information at reception that we could add this but the door to the pool close early and when on holidays I’m not coming back early from sightseeing to swim because it closes early.
