Hotel location, staff and food are fine indeed

On website a SPA was advertised and also a 10 % discount on food for hotel guests. Both features were not granted.

Perfectly located, most tuktuks from the bus stations drop people in front and there are many motorbike rental shops around. Decoration is nice with some personality, feels good to have something other than a white and basic hotel. Small room but very cute and quiet. And breakfast included, great value!

We stayed at Inthira Thakhek and found the location to be really good — just a short walk to the water for sunset and close to plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself looks clean, comfortable, and cozy. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the air‑conditioning worked well. We also appreciated having a balcony to get some fresh air. Just be aware that the stairs are quite steep.

Unfortunately, despite requesting a quiet room at the time of booking, our room turned out to be very noisy, which affected the overall experience. The biggest disappointment, though, was the staff. Check‑in was supposed to be at 2pm, and when we arrived at 3pm, there was no one at reception. The next morning, no one greeted us or acknowledged us, which felt unusual compared to the warm hospitality we experienced everywhere else in Laos. We spent three weeks traveling through the country, and this was the only hotel where we felt the staff were not friendly.Overall, the hotel has a great location and comfortable rooms, but the service and noise level didn’t match the otherwise wonderful experiences we had throughout Laos.

Colonial feel, spacious bedroom - much bigger than in picture. Clean and super comfortable. Good breakfasts. Helpful staff to help us arrange SIM card, bus tickets etc …

We had a top floor room which was peaceful and quiet. The room itself was nothing super special but had everything we needed. You can tell this is an old building with some quirks but they have done the work to make it a very pleasant place. The location was perfect for us. The breakfast was just OK but was fine for what we needed.

Wonderful location with scooter rental shops, restaurants and supermarkets close by. Lovely team especially the young lady from France ??

Clean rooms and good location

Our room’s window was along a brick wall so there was no natural light. The staff didn’t have much knowledge on local transport. Breakfast was ok, different types of egg with a small hard baguette.

Great hotel, room was comfortable, great shower. The location is perfect, we had good breakfast included and also had dinner at the restaurant. It was above average, considering the places we stayed in Laos.

Basic room in decent area with high price. Most expensive motel we’ve had and definitely below average room. Very basic room with no hot water. Even with my genius discount this place was overpaid for what we got. Should be a $20 room at most

Awesome location, close to all bike rentals for the loop. Room was nice and breakfast was good, loved the orange juice.

Great location. It is a very old, historic building and if you booked a room with a little balcony, it feels like you are back in time. The room has the atmosphere of forgotten times. Also the coffee and restaurant on ground level are worth a visit.

While the building is old, the facilities are as well. I had to move to another room with a lack of atmosphere.

After a terrible stay in a hostel just 500meters away, I was happy to enjoy the comfort, a nice and clean bed with a great bathroom. Perfect end of 4 days on the loop. Very good standard for a hotel in Takhek
