Location, Private,Restful,
Staff and food good
Rooms have not been kept up since last year. No hot water, dirty floor.
- the size of the room- the cleaniness- the free water
- the toilet paper dispenser was uncomfortably right next to the toilet bowl- the limited menu that you can order from especially for those that prefer to stay in the room to rest
Breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly. Good location with pool view. My room was perfect with garden view .Room was clean and tidy and cleaner Naomi pop in every morning with clean towels and refill all the necessities. I stayed for 4 nights and it was awesome.
The upstairs room was very noisy during the night .They were dragging chairs which disturbs my sleep. That's the only downside of my stay but I will be staying again at Sheraton on my next trip to the island.
Sheraton was home for us and we did not want to leave. The location I believe was the best for all accommodation options in Samoa. The breakfast was amazing, the facilities fantastic, but the staff, the most welcoming! The food and beverage were amazing, but the bar staff and the hotel porters were the best!
The pool could use a deep clean specifically the area over the bridge near the plants/trees, and at times the main area of the pool, but still amazing! The bathtub in our room was dirty and needed a scrub, and the window in the tub needed to be a bit longer.
Service was doable.
Electric plugs in room don't work. Only 3 works out of 7. Bath tub is very slippery, water leaks out to the bathroom floor creating an unsafe environment and risk for falls. Dining room is fested with mosquitos and the facility didn't have any mosquito repellent for quest.
Great location if you want to visit the markets (fish and produce) cathedral, Robert Louis Stevenson museum etc - easy taxi ride. ..a good 2 -3 day stay. The bungalow was roomy and comfy the breakfast was good. Staff was superb, adequate parking. If you want a relaxing beach holiday, try the other Sheraton or other beach resorts.
The Aggie Grey guesthouse memorabilia and historical artifacts are no longer there. If you are staying at this hotel because of its historical significance then you will be disappointed
The exterior is beautiful has everything you could want in a hotel of its stature but there were many things that let our experience down. It all looked perfect until closer inspection. The security was very helpful and pleasant.
The room 2003 had a broken shower lever, the water gushed out when showering, the toilet had no lid, we had robes that did not fit and one had a stain on it, the main door would not close properly to lock, the fridge had a terrible stench of fish and did not chill our drinks, the phone charger kept popping out of powerpoint - so I could not ring reception, the restaurant experience was terrible, my pasta bacon carbonara was drenched in oil I could fill a tall glass with it, service was very slow and while dining a fight broke out with the staff. There were swarms of flies in the nearby bushes, swarms of sandflies as you walk along toward reception. Our room on the first night had mosquitoes everywhere, left the place with so many itchy bites. Not impressed.
View of the harbour was phenomenal!Staff were friendly and helpful.Parking was free and location very central.Lifts to upper floors.Gym and pool were great!
Everything was good!
Breakfast was good. The pool was also great. Staff very friendly and helpful particularly the restaurant staff.
Cleanliness of the room. Sink and bathtub were not clean on arrival.
nothing went well
I have been travelling and staying in Samoa for over 20 years. Aggies has gone downhill majorly. Terrible service: the majority of the staff were rude and unhelpful; I got charged for the "free" coffee that came with breakfast because I wanted cold milk not hot milk, the food was terrible and there was no authentic Samoan food which is what we came for, there was no fia fia night, no atmosphere, absolutely filthy dirty everywhere, really run down rooms. To top it off they had a teenagers ball / party in the conference room underneath our room so me and my children could not sleep until 11pm when we had not slept from our flight. The car rental place on site "Happy Wheels" scammed me and didn't give my $500 deposit back until I told reception I would lodge a police report.
The staff was so accommodating and kind. Literally one of the best hotel staff experiences I have ever had. At one point, I had trouble opening a pill bottle and the entire night staff worked together to help me open it. The front desk was also proactive in arranging transport and making sure we had a great experience in Samoa.
The renovated part of the hotel is fabulous. The older part of the hotel is a little bit like a maze. Also, the hot water in the shower was not very reliable. Sometimes the water was luke warm.
Location
House keeping. Rooms not cleaned until late in the day (8 pm on 2 occasions)Pool was also murky and looked like it needed a clean
Nice enough pool. Some really nice and helpful staff - some not so much
About 8 pool loungers maximum, and two umbrellas - no shade for other guests. There were never any pool towels out in the morning, pool towels may get there by lunch and there were never enough.Drinks were warm by time they go to you.
Very nice, staff were responsive and helpful, room is clean and tidy, good size room.
There were some problems with the facilities but these were quickly and efficiently handled by staff. Overall, the staff were extremely friendly and good at their jobs. I had one dip in the pool and it was wonderful.
Maybe a few more healthy options at breakfast?
