Freddies Santai Sumurtiga

We loved our stay at Freddie's! We came here on our honeymoon, and it was amazing. We got in earlier than check-in time and planned on hanging out at the restaurant until check-in time. While eating (the delicious food and coffee), Freddie came up to us and congratulated us and told us he would get us into our villa early and even invited us into his private residence to wait comfortably (which is gorgeous). The villa itself was beautiful and right on the beach. There is a mini mart on the premises that has everything you might need. While staying at the villa, you can order food and get it delivered, and it's still hot! We received a delicious breakfast every day. The staff are absolutely awesome. My husband made good friends with them, and we were invited to a BBQ and other activities with them, where they showed us the local culture and food. The beach is perfect for snorkeling! There is so much beautiful sea life right outside the villa. We rented a motorbike and drove around the island to explore outside of the villa as well. Freddie helped us set up a taxi to get back to the port and was up bright and early with us to wish us goodbye. Highly recommend staying here! :)

Snorkeling right in front of the hotel is great. Do bring your sea shoes as there are stones at the beginning. Meal options at the restaurant that even our picky kids could eat.Helpful staff to organize transfers, activities, etc. Good water pressure and hot water in the bathroom (we stayed in an airco room across the road).The room is basic, but it is well organized.

Amazing calm place with a private beach essentially, great food delivered right to your door and great options to explore the island - the staff makes everything possible :)

The new look of Feeedies. It's become more bigger, organizer & beautiful. This is 2nd time and I can see the different from 2016 and now. Love to see the business expand and have more options and it's can be book online. Last time, only can be booked via email.

I don't like the head shower in my room. It need to be fix. The restaurant staff, I can see they more friendly and lovely when entertain the western guest/ customers. Please don't be double standard like that. If COVID hit again, you will need a local or asian neighbors guests to support the business.

We stood at Freddies for four nights and we very much enjoyed It. The location was good and the beach beneath The restaurant was cool. The staff is amazing, they do their BEST to help you in everything you need...that was what we appreciated the most. Whatever you need, just talk to them. Laundry service is cheap and very good. The restaurant is affordable and real good aswell.Special metion goes to the Tuk Tuk driver we were recommended, Mr. Happy. We had some trouble the first days to get to the places we wanted to go or find the right things to do, but since we first met Mr. Happy he made our staying much more easy and enjoyable...did his BEST and helped US in everything he could and more.

- 3 minutes warm water in the shower, after that it is cold- 2 times we rent a (different) scooter and both times the scooters were very bad. We told the staff. - some people of the staff are not kind for the cats

When we got there staff told me that siblings with opposite gender can't stay in a room without parents supervisionWe are in our 40s. They told us that we need to stay in a different roomIf you have such rules. Please state in the website.I'm coming with my brother. I booked big room. End up, we need to book 1 more room for him

We had a great sea view bungalow with best location at Freddies (in our opinion). Restaurant was really nice with good food, drinks and service.Beach in front of Freddies is a bikini beach but because there was so many muslim guest at the time I didn't feel comfortable to swim in bikinis.Would definetly come back!

Despite the handicap of my father, thanks to the great service of all of you (including your security team), we had an unforgettable stay at Freddies Santai Sumurtiga. It is a bit challenging for handicap people (on wheelchair) to go to the restaurant. But the staff is very kind to help pushing the wheelchair!

Had an excellent stay in Freddies Cottage Hotel. The cabin was cozy and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Facilities to make tea/coffee in the room and a fridge. Deliscious menues in the restaurant. Were met by serviceminded staff everywhere in the hotel.

Too much tobacco smoke everywhere.

The location is right on the beach so our room had a great view, the sound of the ocean at night was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. They offered laundry service which was done same day. The room facilities were great including hot water, a fridge and drinking water dispenser.

I left with bed bug bites all across my stomach. The beds didn't seem to be the cleanest and only one bed was made up per room upon arrival, I had to ask for additional sheets to make it up myself. The food was around average at the Cafe (we found another hotel Cafe 10 minutes away walking which was exceptional and similarly priced) the staff smoked outside their kitchen which unfortunately was also beside my rooms meaning my kids had to walk through it going to the Cafe or beach. The wifi didn't work at all.

- rooms and apartments are cramped together with no soundproofing so you hear everything from other rooms all the time.- inconsiderate guests waking up before 6am being loud and letting screaming children roam around.- resort is left open to the the public to just wander around. There were always people lingering around our room and on the walkways. It didn’t feel private at all.- Restaurant is never that busy but there are always at least 10 staff working. However they all sit around smoking and you are expected to write down your own order on a sheet of paper. - we hired a bike from the hotel and we ran a flat tyre on the other side of the island due to bald tyres. Instead of picking us up they organised a tuktuk to take us to a mechanic at our own expense and then let us drive a dangerous faulty bike back to the hotel in the dark. We arrived back 2hr 30min after initially calling. The situation was handled terribly.

This is 2nd time been here. The place have change a lot since my first visit.Restaurant,foods is good and for reasonable price.There is stair connecting to the beach too.Booking for beach view for 2 person and the sunrise to good to be missed.Location not too far from Jetty and Town and easy to accesss.Overall is good and enjoy my stay.

There too many stairs?.If forgot some things in room,, could be lazy to return back.

Great budget friendly place on a really nice beach.Staff were really friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. Accommodation had everything you needed: laundry, bikes, tours etc etc.

First of all a big compliment to all the staff who work there; everyone, without exception, is extremely friendly, professional and makes you feel very welcome as a guest at Freddies. The location on the beach is idyllic. The type of room I had is definitely worth the money. There are 3 deluxe apartments with sea view next to each other. Your terrace is right above the beach or water (at high tide). The room is very spacious with a small fridge, safe, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar and also toiletries. The room was cleaned very neatly, here again a compliment to the cleaning ladies. As a westerner it is nice that you can have a glass of beer in the restaurant.

No air conditioning in this room which makes it very warm in the room and on the enclosed terrace. A (cheap) improvement would be to place 1 or 2 fans on the terrace but for the price of the room air conditioning should actually be standard.

The view, the services, and the room

Very kind and helpful staff, well organized and big company with many facilities! There's a new building on the other side of the road, nice view on the ocean! They rent anything you need here and are happy to help!

It lacks some atmosphere and vibe and did not deliver on the hype. The restaurant tables were a bit dirty with napkins everywhere on the floor. There's no garden at the new building. Shower was a little bit broken, do the water flow was going sideways.

What a place!! We stayed in a bungalow with a sea view and it was the best decision - the accommodation is good, the views incredible, staff are super friendly and accommodating and the restaurant very good and not too pricey. Absolute recommendation staying here!
