    Pros +

    • We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with private pool - that worked perfectly for our family of four, seemed like a better option than the VIP Maisonette with pool we had booked, those pools looked small and very close together when you saw them 'in real life'. Very happy with that upgrade and would definitely recommend spending the extra money on that.Kids pool and pool with water slides next to snack bar (hotdogs, fries, burgers and ice cream) and away from main pool and restaurant so you could avoid it if you wanted to :) Food in main restaurant was surprisingly good, lots of options. Staff was friendly.30 min. yoga/stretching session by a small pool overlooking the sea each morning after breakfast was heaven. There were different classes in the gym but didn't bring my shoes so couldn't go.
    • Friendly and accomadating Staff. Good food. Great swimming pools.
    • Excellent location, good food and clean amenities.

    Cons -

    • The soft drinks were not good, sugar free coke was undrinkable and juices way to strong and synthetic. We figured out we could order Grenadine with ice water and that was similar to more Nordic style lemonade that our kids could drink :) beer and white wine was fine. The place had everything we needed, but our room was quite old and worn. Not enough electrical outlets and a lot of ants coming in from the terrace. Cleaning staff didn't clean the terrace so that might be a contributing factor... They didn't fill up coffee regularly in the room. When staying more than a week, you are invited to eat at one of the hotel's a la carte restaurants. There are two options - a Mediterranean restaurant and a Greek restaurant. The Mediterranean one is rooftop and was fully booked, but we got a table at the Greek restaurant for my husband's birthday. That was one of the worst meals we have ever had - on any vacation we've ever been on! The restaurant is on the hotel property and very small, the food seemed to have been brought down from the main buffet restaurant with 'chefs' just plating it up. No kid options at all. Swordfish and souvlaki completely dry, we were unable to finish it. We skipped dessert (as did other tables) and went to the main restaurant. So, I would highly recommend avoiding that option!
    • You have to travel about 5 km to find a decent beach.Shuttle bus to beach early in morning and back in evening. No local bus to beach.
    • Noticed a plaque above the toilet that had half the letters missing. In 3 languages. Took a few days to figure out that NO PAPER was supposed to be thrown into the toilet. This applies to most of Greece and most facilities but is not explained or advertised as it should have been. Problem brought to the attention of the front desk, unsure if management was advised.

Morning food buffet was good: high variety, well made dishes, good fruit and coffee.Pool facilities looked in good working order and there were several open public spaces for all guests.

The property as a whole is aged and not always well maintained. The tennis “court” was in a sorry state (net on the ground, provided racquets were old and dirty, some tennis balls were deflated!). The room was barely passable with old furniture, bathroom accessories and even an ant infestation.

A very comfortable hotel for a family holiday. The food is above average for a all included hotel, the rooms are nice big and clean, but what gives it a wonderful feeling is the staff which is amazing, making all they can to make your time the best it can be.

    Great place with great staff.

    5LynnePosted on: 7-24-2024

The room was a good size, comfortable bed and clean, however what amde it a "delux" room, I dont know. Nice but basic. Also rigth by the side of the water slides and the kids pool, so very noisy. The quality of the food for an all inclusive was good. A lot of choice and plenty of it. The staff, with the exception of a guy at the snack bar who never smiled or looked at you, were lovely, helpful and friendly

This is not a 5 star hotel as claimed. Its a massive holiday resort and with the arrival of school holidays became too crowded and noisy. There are 3 pools but very difficult to get into any of them due to the mumber of people, and despite notices saying that large inflatables were not to be used in the pool, there were so many inflatables you couldnt get in the water. All the su beds were "reserved" by 8am, again despite notices saying that this was to happen. Why make "rules" if you have no way of enforcing them. A good family hotel for a good family holiday but not for older travellers and certianly not 5 star. An adults only pool would have made a big difference.

The hotel is in a nice and quiet village, near my favorite place which is agios nicholaos

The room was quite large , since i had booked it a few hrs before , i had no much choices , the pool was clean, overcrowded , Front office was nice, but moving to another room for 5 hrs before check out , i guess its not worth it , but they allowed us to stay till 16.00 . parking was available if you could find it , 4 x 500ml bottles were available everyday , except day 1 , greek yoghurt for breakfast .

Bed mattress on the twin beds is old ( still hv a backpain ) , Breakfast is NASTY ( the young guy making eggs wont even look at you , 26 aug i stayed for 35 seconds for him to look at me and give me 2 eggs , he was busy making pancakes ( check the camera) they all cook with their hand in bowls no gloves, (this is not to be done in front of guests) , compressed bacon is horrible, same food everyday , the cooks dont know how to cook , or dont want to do it , one day the omelette station was not ready till 8.32 am, they were cutting veggies, lunch food is another disaster ( i had 3 lunches ) at 14.15 all chefs stand in line and look at you , they are waiting till 14.30 to clear the buffet , they are so frustrated , including their chef the older guy, food feels recycled , mushrooms in the sauce , buy less but some local quality products , i dont eat baked beans , but these beans at bfast were just heated from a can , looks disgusting, normally you add ketchup, br sugar, onions , ..serving juice at breakfast with 50 % fresh juice and 50% concentrate and diluting it , why would you do that , all pastries look dry , they need baking trays to bake well with egg wash , they bake everything in GN 1/1 . when in greece you should eat greek Feta , not processed feta ( creamy processed lidl product ) which is not feta , we eat real feta outside greece ,asian food is nowhere close to it .rice is raw at times , mashed potato is from the box ,dont eat the pancakes its not a good recipe .the sausages for breakfast is disgusting it tastes sour and the same product in sauce and boiled ,fried onion rings (OMG ) , fried croquettes ,potato balls ( pub foodpls provide good greek food , all inclusive meals are disgusting ( i had to have lunch due to the kids , they wanted to stay in the pool, ) .and the wait staff needs to be told wait till the guests finish , they are pouncing to clear the tables even before you finish , compressed fish , i was told it is perch ,OMG

The room was spacious. All areas of the hotel were clean.Excellent location. Attentive staff. Lots of facilities for children.

The bed was uncomfortable. The drinks service at mealtimes wasn't the best. You would be provided with one drink, but nobody told us you'd need to go collect your own or ask someone for another if you wanted more than the first one.

The food was good. The room was spacious. Variety of pools, the atmosphere was relaxing.

So much choice at the buffet for all meals. Good quality products and Greek options. The pool with slides was ideal for our toddler. The room and view were great, so handy to have a partition so our son wouldn’t be woken by our baby. The location a few minutes walk from the little marina in Sissi. There’s no beach here but kids can easily access a shallow rock pool for paddling.

There was one à la carte meal included with our stay. Although we booked this on our second day, the Italian restaurant was already unavailable for our entire stay, and so we reserved the Greek one. The meal here was quite disappointing: limited choice and very similar to the buffet options, and the lamb was fatty. As we were with our baby and toddler it would’ve been great if the main restaurant opened for dinner a bit earlier (it opens at 7pm) Kids club is only available from 4 years+ It would’ve been great to have some activities for little ones, with parents accompanying. The playground needs some work, especially the flooring which is uneven and can cause kids to trip over.Cleaning was generally good (floors, beds, bins) but the bathroom sink was not touched during the week’s stay… I ended up cleaning it myself.

All of aspects of the hotel are great!Location is such superior that it's within only several minutes of walking distance to the beach. Most rooms get (part) sea view I believe. Nice food and wine, staff there are kind, approchable and considerate. Thumbs up for its eco-friendly ideas and facilities. Amazing experiences there!

Not sure if there's problem with soundproofing, seems that there's one day out of my six days of stay I was forced to wake up by a neighbor room, perhaps only because the high dB noise people made...

the property is large. food excellent nice choice very tasty. rooms clean staff very friendly and helpful.

I think more attention to the pool cleaning in private pools is needed. green algae on arrival but after seeing reception twice this was dealt with swiftly

Beautiful resort with lots of activites which are seperate if you just want to relax too. Very friendly staff and well priced.

Food was good and in no short supply! Personally I would've appreciated a bit more authentic Greek food on the buffet but the variety caters for all so can't complain.

We highly recommend the Vasia hotel & Spa, we stayed for three nights and had a fabulous time. The staff was outstanding! Helpful, generous and warm.We arrived late in the evening and we’re upgraded to a marvelous room. On our last day we were able to do a late checkout, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The swimming pool was perfect and the local beach just a couple minutes walk. The town itself is smaller and less crowded than other places in Crete ( a plus for us) with plenty of restaurants and bars.We hope to return soon!

Comfy bed and a good location.

No beach access, but you can visit nearby ones.

I enjoyed the staff of the hotel and the cleanliness as well as the quietness of the area.

We took a two-story family suite and the stairs of the room were extremely cramped and uncomfortable to go up, and they did not appear in any picture of the room nor the hotel. The hotel was fully booked and they did not have any other room for us.The air conditioner of the first floor barely worked, only on rare occasions. The person who was supposed to fix it did fix it for the first day, but the issue kept repeating itself. We complained again and they turned off the sensors, making the air conditioner work 24/7, and that's the only way it worked. Another warning that is not related to the hotel itself, right next to the hotel, there was a supermarket (and the shopping centre, which are connected) , the blonde curly haired woman at the checkout was yelling at the costumers and generally was extremely mean. I would recommend going to the other supermarket nearby, the service is much better and the prices are cheaper, and it's not that far.

The food was good and with a variety of options every day. They catered for my coeliac wife and daughter
