    Pros +

    • The breakfast included was lovely and a perfect way to start the day, we also enjoyed the yoga on the beach. The movie night on Monday was super cute and well done! The staff was lovely and we enjoyed every minute of our relaxing stay.
    • We loved the hotel’s design, its compact layout, our room, and the beach. We also really appreciated the app system and the communication via WhatsApp, which made our entire day so much easier and the team was incredibly helpful.
    • We liked everything about this accomodation: the beautifl interior, the kind staff, the delicious food, the private beach… I was more than we could wish for.

    Cons -

    • The gym equipment was a little hard to work out with and we wished there were more times for yoga classes.
    • The food could be improved. Prices are very high compared to the rest of the island, and unfortunately the taste does not quite match the price. The lunch menu, in particular, is quite limited. While the hotel is beautiful, being in a natural setting means there are a lot of flies and insects. During dinner, we were constantly bothered by flies. In addition, the door to our room had gaps at the bottom and sides, which allowed many insects and even small lizards to enter. We had to remove them ourselves and keep a towel under the door at night. Pest control could have been better.
    • One small thing is the price of the drinks at the pool. For example: 5€ for a coca cola and 7€ for a beer was for us a little too much.

We came to OKU KOS because we looooooved OKU IBIZA and we were expecting the same vibe. It was actually a bit different and somehow a bit disappointing, but all in one it was a great stay. What's good ? The style, the amenities, the direct access to the beach, the pool area, the rooms, and this "village" spirit.

It was not that bad... but the staff is not as friendly and entertaining compared to OKU Ibiza. They are available and efficient, especially at the front desk and room services, but at the restaurant, some are doing the strict minimum. The gym is a bit small and we were surprised to see we had to pay an extra 25€ to access the spa for one hour/day. I guess it's a way to limit the number of people going there, but it seems a bit "cheap" from us. Especially when you consider the level of price. Same for the quality of the breakfast. A large choice but it was not so wow after all, and a bit repetitive after one week spent there.

We came in October, so wasn’t to busy however I feel in the peak of summer it could very well be overcrowded, the hotel itself is very photogenic again I fear in the peak seasons it would become a sea of selfie sticks (obviously no fault of the hotel) It’s understandable that you can’t find beds to suit everyone however the beds were very soft and both myself and partner woke up with back ache each morning. Also the room cleaning was minimal, at best fresh towels if required but that was the only thing noticeable.

    Beautiful beaches and hotel

The food quality wasn’t consistent and for the price it should have been

Fantastic property, aesthetic, location and staff

Restaurant didn’t offer the best value for money.

Gorgeous hotel, great beach, nice breakfast

Dinner menu was expensive for the portion size, although it was delicious

From the moment we arrived we relaxed & began to unwind. Oku is a very special place. The gardens were stunning & beautifully maintained & the rooms were clean, comfortable & stylish. The breakfast buffet selection was exceptional, lunch was fantastic & the evening meals at Kima were outstanding. All the staff were welcoming, friendly & professional. We loved the beach (& the beach bar!), which had a stunning views across to smaller islands; it was difficult to leave the sun beds as they were so comfortable! All the cocktails we sampled at the main bar were delicious, it was the perfect post-beach & post-dinner lounging point! Occasionally there was a DJ, who played some afternoons & evenings, he was brilliant & his music perfectly matched the laidback vibe. We're already planning our next visit.

A de-misting mirror in the rooms.

First of all, I would like to make a detailed assessment, as I am comparing this hotel with other hotels in the Casa Cook family. That was also my reason for booking this hotel, I am completely satisfied with the others so far. Now here is my feedback on Oku in Kos:General hotel facilities:- The entire hotel complex is spacious, well-kept and nice to stay in.Staff:- Very friendly and courteous. At the reception very professional and authentically friendly and cordial.Staff in the breakfast room:- Very tidy breakfast room. The staff was not always attentive, sometimes there were about 15-20 minutes waiting times after 9am until the ordered coffee was served, the staff on site in the breakfast room tried to take the order immediately, the waiting time was more at the bar where the staff did not keep up with the ordered coffees, here I see an enormous potential, 20 minutes of customers waiting is not a good service in a 5 star hotel. The shift must be adjusted after 9am my suggestion. In general, the employee in the breakfast room (slim, young with long hair, very attentive and friendly, it certainly wasn't her fault). But can't say the same about the other colleagues in the breakfast room, I noticed several times in the morning how customers were waiting to order but 2 or 3 waitresses preferred to talk to each other and had fun rather than serving customers. A real shame for that.Pool zone, showers, public toilets; SPA and fitness room:- All kept clean and professional

Restaurant/cuisine:- Price/performance is not right, if you charge so much to the customer then quality and especially quantity is already expected. I have visited other Casa Cook hotels in Mykonos, Rodhos Kolimbya and in Ibiza, the hotel restaurant in Kos is in 4th place in my ranking list in terms of price/performance ratio (quantity), prices would have been ok for me if the quantity and quantity were still coherent. Here I see potential to make it even better.Sleep quality in the room:- Sorry, I have to get really serious and serious. It's not my style to complain, if I do, it's only to point out the potential so that you can improve and customers are satisfied. I was more or less satisfied with everything during my stay, even if I was a bit critical of the breakfast room, staff and restaurant above. But what is not possible is the construction site next to my room 405. The construction noise started every day in the morning from 6am and stopped after midnight. Cars, trucks, construction work and that even on a Saturday. You're just wondering why I didn't mention anything to reception, quite simply the hotel was fully booked as far as I knew and it was impossible to change rooms. It's a real shame that customers are not told that there is construction noise because apparently a new hotel complex is being built next door. I wasn't really rested, I made up for my lack of sleep partly at the pool or on the beach.

Very calm and relaxing vibe, great rooms, own beach and absolutely exceptional service. We had an issue getting a taxi upon arrival as all were busy and the hotel managed to super quickly arrange a transfer for us. When leaving the team went out of their way to make a late checkout possible as our plane was leaving at midnight. Big shout out to the team at OKU Kos, we are for sure coming back!

    décor, staff, facilities, ambiance

service could have been a little quicker in the restaurant / bar, although this did improve considerably.I wouldnt expect to pay for water with my evening meal

    8JonathanPosted on: 9-12-2024

beach is amazing, hotel doesn't feel crowded even when at full capacity

Communications around what's on during the week could be clearer

    9RadovanPosted on: 9-9-2024

Breakfast was perfect, however it could be better in terms of the staff asking if we want eggs when they ask for coffee. We found it difficult to order. Breakfast was supposed to be until 11 but they would start cleaning everything out at 10:40 so it was a bit stressful if we slept in.

The housekeeping could be better as they only changed our bedsheets once during our 7 night stay and we never had enough towels as you shower multiple times per day because of the salty water. Also the floors seemed never to be swept thoroughly and there was always sand. The air conditioning was right across our bed so we had to be very careful with it as it was blowing right on us during the night but without it it got too hot

Absolutely stunning hotel. From the time we got to the hotel it was just pure relaxation. The swim up suite was superb in every way. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly and made the experience even better. The activities that the hotel had arranged through the week were also very good (outdoor cinema, stargazing, wine tasting) and we thoroughly enjoyed each one. And just as an added bonus, the beach at the hotel is also perfect where we ended up spending most of our days at the hotel :) . Highly recommend!

Extremely minor point - The music played at the hotel was on repeat through the day and without much variety so every night ended up listening to the same tracks in the main hotel areas

    8JamesPosted on: 9-8-2024

    - The beach is one of THE best in Europe I have been too, excellent staff, great lunch menu, lovely sunbeds and beautiful sea and scenery.- The rooms are excellent, spacious and modern with lovely bathrooms and most have exceptionally good outside space … especially the roof top rooms.- The spa is great, we had a message each (me and my partner) and the team there were brilliant, great service and a very nice massage.

    - At all costs avoid the half board package, the food at dinner is excellent but the half board package is a pre set menu containing 2x options which can be insultingly low quality vs the á la carte menu - Oku need to remove this option or replace it with like for like parity with the main menu at dinner.- Reception staff are poor, often lacking basic training in customer service and came off unhelpful and at times confrontational … the checkout process was awful owing to a particularly aggressive female receptionist.- Breakfast is very average, often lukewarm food left out for hours that can attract flies … Coffee can take a very long time and the breakfast staff are not attentive.

Facilities are beautiful and the place it really takes you to a place of relax. The gym was fantastic and the yoga lessons every morning delightful. Room was great, large and nicely decorated

Service can improve specially at the restaurant. But also we had room services one afternoon and the day after the left overs were still there.Everything takes time and is really slow

    10FionaPosted on: 9-6-2024

Uber luxury, very helpful and friendly staff. Bar served amazing cocktails, lovely food, beach area was stunning. Always willing to go the extra mile and lounger service so you could fully relax.

    10RolfPosted on: 9-5-2024

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and stunning - layout, design, interior - the entire setting. Location is a bit remote, i.e. not much around on foot, but that probably is what you're looking for in a place like this. All staff were super friendly and accommodating. Spending time at the beach on very comfortable sun beds is a real treat, not to mention the beautiful beach itself. And lastly the food (breakfast, dinner) which was of highest quality, excellently prepared and presented. In short, the OKU Kos certainly is one of the best places we've ever stayed.
